Didactic games and their inclusion to physics teaching at basic school
PÍŠA, Adam
The bachelor's thesis entitled "Didactic games and their inclusion in the teaching of physics at elementary school" describes the possibility of educating students in selected physics lessons in a playful way. The work focuses mainly on the refreshment of basic knowledge of individual physical disciplines, necessary for a proper understanding of the subject matter in secondary schools. In the first part we will focus on the theoretical description of games, its concept, important aspects and features. Next, a list of used parts of physics will be presented with a brief commentary on why this part was selected and which specific topics will appear in the second part. The second part contains examples of individual didactic games with a physical theme, in which the physical disciplines described above are used. The last game is a "roleplaying game", which is intended for future graduates of elementary schools as a playful form of repetition of physical knowledge acquired during physics classes. Finally, the process of creating this work, the expected results and a summary of the presented opinions will be evaluated.
An Educational Game in Teaching Human Nervous System
NEUBAUEROVÁ, Marcela
The bachelor's thesis aimed to create four author's didactic games for primary school pupils and their verification in practice. Two didactic games were primarily created to acquire knowledge of the topic of the human nervous system. The other two didactic games were created to consolidate knowledge of the topic of the nervous system and knowledge of the topic of the digestive, respiratory, circulatory and muscular systems. The verification of the created didactic games took place at a regular primary school, which is located in a South Bohemian town with a population of 1 to 5 thousand. The verification in practise was performed using pretest, posttest I. and posttest II.
Ciphers in mathematics teaching at elementary school.
BOUČKOVÁ, Kateřina
The diploma thesis "Ciphers in mathematics education at primary school" acquaints readers with basic concepts related to encryption, as well as with the history of ciphers from the beginning to the present, their classification, connection to the framework educational program for primary school and didactic game. It also deals with introducing simple ciphers to children and their encryption and decryption. The work is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part presents ciphers and their use, basic concepts, types of ciphers, history of ciphers, cryptographic games and didactic game. The practical part includes worksheets and didactic games that contain simple ciphers. Each worksheet contains instructions for use, solutions and the ciphers themselves. Some of the worksheets were tested by children and therefor there is also an evaluation of how the children performed - with the wrong and also correct solutions.
Creation and Use of Didactic Games in Czech Language Lessons for the 3rd Grade of Elementary School
Hrubá, Anna ; Hájková, Eva (advisor) ; Doležalová, Eliška (referee)
The diploma thesis focuses on the creation and use of didactic games in the teaching of Czech language for the 3rd year of primary school. The main aim was to find out what attitudes 3rd grade primary school teachers have towards didactic games in Czech language classes through a selected set of didactic games. Another aim was to find out how 3rd grade primary school students perceive the use of didactic games in Czech language classes. Furthermore, I also focused on resources from which teachers can draw inspiration for their teaching. The specific task was to create a set of didactic games, which is referred to in the main aim of the thesis. The theoretical part is divided into three chapters in which I discuss play, didactic play and the creation and use of didactic play. In the practical part, I created a set of didactic games from which the research unfolded. For the research investigation, I chose qualitative research, using semi-structured interviews with teachers and a questionnaire with 3rd grade primary school pupils as data collection methods. The analyzed data allowed me to answer the predetermined research questions and meet the objectives of the thesis. The research investigation showed that teachers have a positive attitude towards didactic play and realize its value. The pupils of...
The Development of the Original Didactic Game "A Journey to the Cell"
Strachotová, Tereza ; Dvořáková, Radka (advisor) ; Chlebounová, Irena (referee)
Cell biology is a rapidly developing complex field of science, the basics of which students in the second grade of elementary school often come into contact within the sixth grade. Due to the difficulty, the curriculum is often abbreviated, which can be confusing for students in later years. Since the subject matter is abstract, many students have problems understanding it. The goal of this diploma thesis was to create a didactic board game focused on the construction of an animal cell, which will serve as teaching material primarily in the 6th year of elementary school. The game was gradually modified in such a way as to best help fulfill the set didactic goals of the game: the student assigns functions to cell organelles, the student finds the learning activity fun, the student cooperates with others to solve a certain problem and helps to reach a common goal. Throughout the game, the pupils get to know the construction of a cell on a wider scale than is usually the case in primary schools. They work together in a group, travel through the cell and collect building materials, for which they get cards with organelles. While playing the game, they discover that the cell contains a large number of parts, each of which has a clear role in the life of the cell. Students will learn more about the...

5 Abstract This diploma thesis is called The Games in Primary School Geometry and it describes the benefits of the games in teaching geometry as a teaching method for acquiring and strengthening geometric knowledge. The goal of the thesis is to submit the set of didactic games which are suitable for teaching geometry and point out interesting cognitive and interactive phenomena identified in the communication among pupils and a teacher in the role of an experimenter. The work consists of a theoretical and practical part. The first one explains the key terms related to the game in geometry, for example: the learning process, teaching methods, didactic game, motivation, communication, spatial and geometric imagination. Literature concerning the fields of pedagogy, psychology and mathematics was used to elaborate the topics of the thesis. The practical part contains a set of game suggestions for teaching geometry. I chose a few of the games and used them when teaching the pupils of the 4th class of the basic school. The course of each game is commented on and described in details. The conclusion contains the self-reflection and I set the topics for my future work as a teacher. Keywords: didactic game, teaching methods, learning process, terminology, game strategy.
Didactical games in teaching of Education for health
Pumprlová, Veronika ; Kovaříková, Miroslava (advisor) ; Záhořová, Karolína (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of including didactic games in teaching, here specifically in the educational field of health education. The reform of Czech education system is constantly being talked about, which should start to focus more on the pupil's activity than on the teacher's activity, and so one of the solutions may be the use of activating teaching methods, which can include the already mentioned didactic games. The theoretical part of the work is devoted to defining the concept of motivation, which is an important part of student activity in school, and its types. Furthermore, readers will get acquainted with the definition of the term teaching methods and their basic division, which is freely followed by a description of activating teaching methods, their classification and the advantages and disadvantages of their use in practise. The work also gets specifically to didactic games, which describes in detail their methodological preparation, further division, but also the principles of using didactic games in teaching. The last part of the theoretical part deals with the approach to the educational field of health education and its didactics in connection with the use of didactics in the teaching of health education. The main goal of the practical part of the work is to find...
Didactic game as a way to open the world of geometry
Malcová, Michaela ; Jirotková, Darina (advisor) ; Tůmová, Veronika (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to explore thinking processes of pupils when solving problems of geometric manipulative environment Parquets. I elaborated this environment Parquets and stated characteristic tasks. I have also described, in what mental schemes of mathematical concepts solving tasks may contribute. I made use of pupil's life experiences with the game Ubongo in the presentation of the environment for them. The diploma thesis is presenting the ideas of the constructivist approach to teaching mathematics. Necessary relevant theoretical concepts are defined in the theoretical part. The experiment with third grade, who attended the Math's club is the basis of this diploma thesis. Video recordings were transcribed in the form of a written report and these were analyzed in the aim of diagnosing and describing phenomena that are related to discussions of pupils, their cooperation within the group and the development of mathematical experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the student, but also the personality and social competences. In the analysis I also pay attention to the role of the experimenter, who was also in the role of a teacher. In conclusion, I made recommendations that could improve the lesson.
