Woman of the 1st half of 19th century

The graduation thesis analyses the status of woman since her birth to adult age in the 1st half of 19th century. In the beginning it is dealt with facts of European history. Further it focuses on woman, her childhood, adolescence and her adult age. The subject of the thesis is to show how the society behaved to a girl and a woman in the some specific social caste, how they thought of her, what type of rights, responsibilities and possibilities for education she had. The chosen areas are: the pedagogy history, the children education, the girl education and pedagogy, the family environment, the sociability, the marriage and maternity. The thesis subsequently responds how hardly and slowly the woman obtained her rights in the private also in the public life.

Name of the work: Religious Teaching Institute in Chrudim and its contribution to the girl's education in the years 1894-1942 This work describes girl's education in the Czech lands during the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century with emphasis on teachers' education and girl schools conducted by religious orders. The work contains a brief outline of the history of the Congregation of the School Sisters of St. Francis and its educational activities. Special attention is paid to one of its institutions, Teacher Training School in Chrudim, including its history, teachers and educational methods.

Significant pedagogues buried in Malostransky cemetery Bachelor's thesis Abstract This bachelor's thesis deals with an investigation on significant pedagogues buried in the Malostransky cemetery. The thesis focuses on years 1786 - 1884, a period when the Malostranský cemetery was an official burial place for Hradčany, Malá Strana and Smíchov. Emphasis is placed on cultural and historical context of the Malostransky cemetery. The results of the thesis are biographies of the teachers and descriptions of their graves in a perspective of art history. The author's objective is to investigate on the topic using literature and archival sources. The thesis uses approaches of cultural geography, historical demography, genealogy, cultural history, art history and ethnology. The work is interdisciplinary and it can contribute to history of pedagogy and history of the Charles University. Arithmetic class - a basic pillar of Piarist education in Czech Lands

Aritmetickou třídu piaristických škol, rozšířenou po všech řádových provinciích, které postupně během vývoje piaristického řádu do osvícenských školních reforem a úprav vznikaly, se dosud žádná podrobnější studie nezabývala. Působnost této třídy bývala v dějinách piaristického různě vykládána a interpretována. Také se zařazením do tehdejšího školního sytému činilo mnohým autorům určité potíže. Většina ji pokládala za doplněk základní školy, za jakousi nouzovou třídu, jenž umožňovala těm žákům, kteří z nejrůznějších důvodů nemohli studovat u piaristů dále na gymnáziu snadnější vstup do praxe, nebo za ústupek šlechtickým, později pak mnohem více také měšťanským, zakladatelům řádových kolejí, v t om smyslu, že se vyhoví jejich požadavkům vyučit jejich synky v kupeckých počtech. Pokud si autoři všimli, že výuka v aritmetických třídách převyšovala svým zaměřením a požadavky kladené na běžnou třídu základní školy, často j im dělalo potíže zařazení této třídy zaměřené na reálnou výuku do tehdejšího školního systému. Váhalo se v otázce, zda aritmetická třída, zejména její vyšší oddělení, byla reálnou třídou, která mohla připravovat absolventy pro další studium a specializovaná zaměstnání technického zaměření, nebo odkladištěm pro nenadané studenty, které bylo třeba, obzvláště v době nátlaku v tomto směru před...
Karel Pivoňka and bassoon´s class of HAMU from beginning to present

The title of my master's thesis is Karel Pivoňka and Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and bassoon class from the beginning to the present. In the first chapter is the development of czech bassoon school and everything that preceded the bassoon class of Academy of Performing Arts. In the first chapter is subchapter where I mention the personality of Karel Bidlo, which also had an effect on the development of czech bassoon school. In the second chapter I discuss Academy of Performing Arts, the school and individual departments. In the third chapter describes the personality of Karel Pivoňka and in the subchapter are listed all the graduates of the Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts, which studied at prof. Karel Pivoňka. In the following chapter are the most significant graduates from the beginning to the present. The last chapter is an overview of most concerts and broadcasts for radio, which played Karel Pivoňka. Annex is scanned photo of Karel Pivoňka.

The work deals with the work of the German theorist of education Schoenebeck. At first examines how his theory evolved and what principles reached. Then look into the history of theories of education from Comenius to the present. It examines the bases of various theories and compares them with the bases of Schoenebeck, to reveal what causes disagreements in the debate about them. Finally, is looking for basis, which can now stand against those of Schoenebeck.

The degree work outlines the professional profile of the educator working with children and young people in their free time. The introductory chapter explains the basic concepts and focuses on the characteristics of the theory of teacher´s profession, personality, values and key competences. The historical development describes education, and the concept of educator in its historical context. The next chapter focuses on the professional possibilities of the free-time educator. His or her educational activities are defined by the brief survey of institutions and facilities where children and young people spend their free time. The final part concentrates on the overall evaluation of the free-time educator. The professional profile contains certain individual qualities as well as theoretical and practical abilities.
