Mixed-use Building
Jaroš, Radek ; Havířová, Zdeňka (referee) ; Lavický, Miloš (advisor)
The subject of the master´s thesis is a project documentation of a mixed-use building within the scope of the implementation documentation. The main goal of the thesis is the design of the layout, construction and material solution, completed by design of the fire safety solutions and assessment in terms of building physics. The mixed-use building is designed as a stand-alone building with one underground floor and three above-ground floors. In the underground floor there is an area for mass parking, the main technical facilities of the building and other associated spaces. On the 1st above-ground floor, there is another area for mass parking, two commercial spaces (a cafe and a stationery store), the technical facilities of the building and other associated spaces. On the 2nd floor there are two separate administrative operations with large offices and associated spaces, the remaining area of the floor is occupied by a generous terrace. On the 3rd above-ground floor there are identical operations as on the 2nd floor with the exception of the terrace. The construction system is designed as a reinforced concrete monolithic skeleton supplemented with a reinforcing reinforced concrete core for two elevator shafts and further supplemented with reinforcing peripheral beams. The ceiling structures are reinforced concrete monolithic locally supported slabs. The building is founded on the reinforced concrete slab placed on drilled shafts. The outer wall is predominantly made of ground brick blocks or reinforced concrete monolithic walls with an external thermal insulation composite system and, to a lesser extent, of a curtain walling, which is made from a mullion-transom system. The roof is designed as a flat roof with a vegetation layer.
Leisure Center - Mojmire
Knichal, Filip ; Žalmanová, Petra (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor) ; Kacálek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is based on my architectural study, which was made in the third year of the academic year 2018/2019. The main task for this study was to design a leisure center for children, youth and adults in the cadastral district of Mojmírovo náměstí, in Brno – Královo Pole. The aim of this thesis is to elaborate the study to the level of documentation for building permition and documentation for construction. The plot is located in a gap site between a 5 storey new residential building with a flat roof and a 2 storey historic building with a saddle roof. In the surroundings there are mostly 5 storey apartment buildings together with the original historical development of family houses. A design of the leisure center tries to respect the height levels of the surrounding buildings and their spatial zoning. The ground plan does not exceed the depth of the surrounding buildings and the surrounding buildings are not shielded. The structure is 4 storeys, without basement, oriented to the east and west side, based on the space of the gap site. It contains two independent functional units: a leisure center and a hall with commercial space. The proposed building with a garden can be used for leisure activities, cultural and social events, and it will also expand the insufficient capacity of the classrooms and the premises of the Košinova elementary school in the morning. In the afternoon, the building, including the garden, will serve as a public meeting point. The idea was to create a multifunctional building for the needs of the local community. The leisure center in this place has its merit, because it is located right on Mojmírovo náměstí in the center of the action and the large garden is connected to the elementary school Košinova. The idea of the study was in the maximum glazing of the facade, which will reflect various greenery on the square, so it will also be open to the community, thanks to its transparency. The structure of the building is monol

Hotel
Paulová, Iva ; Blažková, Vendula (referee) ; Daněk, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this master‘s thesis is the elaboration of design documentation for the construction of a hotel. The proposed detached building is located on plots in the cadastre unit of Jihlava (659673). This is a public building intended for short-term accommodation and catering. Part of the construction is a connection to the technical and transport infrastructure, specific to the locality. The building is designed as a fourteen-story building with three underground and eleven floors above ground. The floor plan shape of the object is composed of rectangles. The dominant feature are two prominent towers with ten floors above ground. There are collective garages for cars in the underground floors. The ground floor is shared by the guests and the hotel staff. The restaurant, gym, conference hall and administration are located here. The second to eleventh floor above ground contains accommodation units for guests. Excavation work is designed by thrust excavation of the construction pit. The foundation structures are designed with a foundation slab made of hydraulic reinforced concrete with deep piled foundations. In the underground floors and on the ground floor, the construction system is cast-in-place concrete frame. In the second to eleventh floor above ground, the structural system is a two-way wall systeme. The vertical supporting structures are cast-in-place reinforced concrete. The horizontal load-bearing structures and the two-armed staircases are cast-in-place reinforced concrete. The contact thermal insulation system ensures thermal insulation of the building. The building is roofed in two levels with a warm flat roof.
