Šobov - multicultural community center
Nácarová, Barbora ; Kyselka, Mojmír (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
We are bound to live with the Roma, but how… The aim of this study is to create a new concept of the environment as an alternative to the current general plan. In the latest urban plan of the town of Banska Stiavnica, the district of Sobov is designed as a recreation zone. However the plan doesn’t tackle the issue of the ethnical minority. This scheme is based on the simple principle of the interconnection of two key topics: the sustainable development in the prevention of social exclusion and the preservation of the environment. On the one hand, it resumes the continuity of resettlement of Sobov, creating a community feeling and the esteem of one´s home in the inhabitants, on the other hand it provides basic information about the district, life of the Roma and their work to the visitors and also offers an appropriate recreation facility. The majority will have to live side by side with the minority and this provides a chance for better housing to the socially challenged citizens in exchange for their participation on the development. The technical solution considers low-cost tower blocks emphasizing the lifestyle and problems of the Roma people using traditional materials, technologies, unqualified labour and also the already existing boreholes to obtain energy with thermal pumps.

Mokrá, Lucie ; Eichlerová, Eva (referee) ; Ponešová, Barbora (advisor)
Hranice na Moravě is Middletown, which is situated in the middle of protected natural territory. Because surrounded area of the town is consisting of smaller villages, we can find Hranice as local important catchment point of region, what means local centre of business and services, culture and education and work opportunities as well. However, this prediction is not real. Even though there are several equipment’s of education, witch product new graduates and potential residents of Hranice every year as well, there is deurbanisation and social and cultural decline because of low diversity of labour market and bad urbanistic strategy of development. In my project I design Centre of Craft. This Centre is reaction on nowaday‘s issues of low level quality of Crafts in Czech Republic and anachronistic bad general opinion about craftsmanship. Centre of Craft constitutes opportunities for students and graduates of local secondary schools with craft‘s subjects, for small tradesmen as start-up and for public as public workshop as well.

Jitka Sýkorová Title: The Use of Craft and Creative Arts in Occupational Therapy Abstract: The bachelor thesis addresses the topic of Arts and Crafts in occupational therapy. Arts and Craft are linked with the profession from its beginnings. Craft activities were one of the first meaningful occupations the occupational therapists ever used in their work. These activities were also the first occupations expertly analyzed by occupational therapists. As the society evolved, the role of arts and crafts in occupational therapy changed. Today, the use of Arts and Crafts in therapy is a controversial topic that divides occupational therapists. Some see Arts and Crafts only as a historical part of the profession, outdated and anachronistic, and refuse to use them in their work. Others feel their potential and try to find ways of purposefully including them in their patients' rehabilitation plans. The bachelor thesis presents a view of Arts and Crafts as a therapeutic tool. It charts the inclusion of these activities in the history of the profession and describes the current situation. It also identifies the problems that occupational therapists face when including these activities in their therapy. The aim of the study...
