Urban analysis of the village and conceptual design of public and development sites in Dubňany u Hodonína
Štefančíková, Tereza ; Tichý, Jan (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis presents a comprehensive urban analysis of the town Dubňany near Hodonín, Czech Republic, and proposes a conceptual solution for two selected public spaces – the town square and the former village green. The proposed design serves as an aim to revitalize and enhance the town’s environment. The first part of the thesis is dedicated for an in-depth analysis of the town. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to an in-depth analysis of the town. This analysis serves to understand the character of the town and identify key urban problems, which are the focus of the second part of the thesis. The second part of the thesis focuses on the conceptual design of two selected public spaces: the town square and the former village green. Based on a study of relevant literature and an analysis of the current state of the town square, changes are proposed that emphasize its character as the town's main public space. The conceptual design focuses on addressing its excessive size (in relation to the size of the town) and its unclear definition. In addition, it takes steps to promote outdoor activities, revitalize the space, and make it more attractive to town citizens. Similarly, based on a study, analysis of the current state, and identification of shortcomings, a design for the former village green is proposed. The aim of the design is to restore the historical significance of the village green as a center of activity and a meeting place, while also making the space more attractive for leisure activities. Due to the small size of the town, where another main public space would not find sufficient use, it is proposed to revitalize the former village green in the form of a town park. The park would add a missing element to the urban structure, while also revitalizing the space and attracting citizens. The thesis offers a comprehensive urban analysis of the town of Dubňany near Hodonín and conceptual solutions for two selected public spaces. Both designs reflect the specificities of the given locations, utilize their potential, and aim to revitalize and enhance the town's environment.
Conceptual design of a hydrogen powered ultralight aircraft
Vrana, Andrej ; Zikmund, Pavel (referee) ; Koštial, Rostislav (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the conceptual design of a small ultralight aircraft, that uses hydrogen as its main fuel source. The thesis describes the main problem of hydrogen utilization in the aviation industry and provides the reader with an overview of existing aircraft with this power source. The design consists of a selection of suitable powerplant components, which was made after extensive research, and of the aircraft geometry design itself. The basis of the whole powerplant is a fuel cell, which produces electric energy from hydrogen, that drives a propeller via an electric motor. The aircraft geometry design was made according to CS-LSA regulations and is largely based on statistical values of dimensions of aircraft from the same category. The conceptual design is provided with a weight and balance analysis, a flight envelope according to regulation and an analysis of basic flight performance. In the end, a conclusion was made about the feasibility of operation of such an aircraft and about the compliance with regulation.
Wing design of competition aircraft
Jurda, Martin ; Navrátil, Jan (referee) ; Katrňák, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with wing design of the new competition aircraft for the SAE Aero Design East 2020 competition. Introduction of the thesis is focused on explanation and analysis of the rules taking into account wing design with the following analysis of the scoring equation. Following chapter deals with a research study on the concept of wing and the design of conceptual wing possibilities. Thesis continues with computational chapters containing calculations of the characteristics of designed wing and flight envelope load together with the wing load. The last part is a chapter including structural design of the wing and attachment of the wing to the aircraft.
Haptic Feedback System and its Reliability
Horpatzká, Michaela ; Hlinka, Jiří (referee) ; Janhuba, Luboš (advisor)
This master thesis covers conceptual design of haptic feedback system and safety and reliability assessment. System is developed for aircraft categories UL2, EASA CS-LSA, EASA CS-VLA and EASA-CS-23. Conceptual design is divided into three parts. First is aimed on haptic system test with simulator. Second is conceptual design of haptic system for in-flight test. Third part contains safety and reliability assessment and summarizes problems of haptic system installation in real aircraft.
Design of single seat aiirplane by the UL - 2 regulation
Kövér, Ondřej ; Schoř, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Antonín (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis solves conceptual design of oneseater aircraft by the UL-2 regulations, that is up to 300 kilograms of take-off weight. In the first part of the thesis, there is survey of similar aircrafts and summary of their important characteristics. In further section are possible conceptions and the best choice of them outlined. Afterwards are characteristics of carrier surfaces, load calculation and flight envelope mentioned. The last part deals with calculation and design of engine mounting.
Urban three-wheeled vehicle with electric drive
Černík, Adam ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Tobiáš, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the conceptual design of the chassis of a three-wheeled. The total payload od the vehicle is 160 kg. At the beginning, the work deals with the search for different types of chassis in used three-wheeled vehicles. The advantages and disadvantages of various chassis concepts and the subsequent choice of one them are also summarized. Then the conceptual parameters of the vehicle are selected. At the end a 3D model is modelled in program Inventor, which corresponds to the selected conceptual parameters. This model is used to visualize the designed chassis of three-wheeled vehicle.
Conceptual design of high performance glider with electric propulsion (in complience with EASA CS-22)
Hlůšek, Josef ; Sklenář, Filip (referee) ; Hlinka, Jiří (advisor)
This master's thesis is focused on conceptual design of glider with electric propulsion system following the CS-22 regulation. Statistical analysis of the glider with an auxiliary electric engine has been carried out in order to determine basic design parameters for conceptual design. Based on analytical drag polar, the flight performance parameters are calculated, in particular flight range and influence of the solar panels on the flight range. This thesis also includes preliminary design solution of accumulator placement within the wing.
Conceptual design of an upper wing aircraft using structures parts of the previous type
Koudelka, Jaroslav ; Katrňák, Tomáš (referee) ; Jebáček, Ivo (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to design a new high-wing aircraft for the company TL ultralight using the structural elements from another models from their portfolio. The design is created with an emphasis on crew comfort and cabin ergonomics. The first part of the thesis focuses on the description of the basic requirements for the aircraft and its classification in aviation regulations. It also contains a research part of competing types and currently produced type, which the proposed aircraft should replace in the company's portfolio. Then follows the characteristics of the individual parts of the airframe, the specification of the parts, which will be used from another types from portfolio, and parts which will be completely designed. Great emphasis is placed on the layout of the interior and its design and ergonomic. The proposed aircraft then demonstrates theoretical calculations of basic performances and a preliminary mass analysis. In the end, the benefits of the newly designed aircraft are evaluated with respect to the competing types.
Conceptual design of competition model airplane
Pospíšil, Jakub ; Vaněk, František (referee) ; Hájek, Tomáš (advisor)
