Title: Evaluating effects of training using the NeuroCam visual feedback training programme on postural stability of high-performance basketball players. Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to compare effectiveness of two types of training programmes with visual feedback on postural stability of basketball players using the test "Limit of Stability ". Another goal is to evaluate the effect of the training programme using the "NeuroCom Smart EquiTest" machine with visual feedback on postural stability of basketball players. Methods: Quantitative research was carried out on 19 basketball players with the age of 13- 16 (15,21 ± 1,05). Firstly, all participants went through an entry level physical examination of postural stability using the "NeuroCom Smart EquiTest" (7 tests) and filled an anamnestic questionnaire. Players were then randomly divided into two groups - group A (n = 10) and group B (n = 9) and completed two types of training programmes with visual feedback on the NeuroCom Smart Equi Test machine lasting 6 weeks in total (each test lasted 3 weeks). Title: Influence of six-week training intervention with visual feedback on the NeuroCom SMART Equitest System on the postural stability of football players Objectives: The first aim of this diploma thesis is to find out the effect of the six-week training intervention with visual feedback performed on the NeuroCom SMART EquiTest on the postural stability of football players. The second aim of this diploma thesis is to correlate the Maximum Excursion parameter from the Limits of Stability test on the NeuroCom with the Star Excursion Balance Test score performed on The MAT. Methods: This research involved 20 football players in the age from 19 to 30 (age average = 23,85; SD = 2,79), who belong to the adult category. First, soccer players underwent initial postural stability measurements using seven tests on the NeuroCom SMART EquiTest and excursion distance measurements when performing the Star Excursion Balance Test (SEBT) on the MAT. Title: The influence of the dance movement therapy on psychomotor symptoms of Parkinson's disease patients Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the effects of dance movement therapy on postural instability and other motor and non-motor symptomatology of patients with Parkinson's disease. Changes are evaluated by using MDS-UPDRS and Computerized Dynamic Posturography (NeuroCom Smart EquiTest System). Another goal is to provide comprehensive information about dance movement therapy and other dance therapies promoted abroad and to highlight a possibility of their use as a non-pharmacological treatment of Parkinson's disease symptoms. Methods: This pilot study involved eight late onset Parkinson's disease patients at an average age of 68,87±6,69 years. Changes in their postural stability and motor and non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease were evaluated after the completion of two months of intensive dance movement therapy. Title: Assessment of the effect of CDP training in patient after lower extremity amputation Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe the influence of the individually set training programme on the computerized dynamic posturography (CDP) NeuroCom Smart EquiTest System (further referred to as EquiTest) independent of traditional therapeutic exercises in the patient after unilateral transfemoral amputation of the lower limb and to monitor the effect of this training on postural behaviour, ability of functional mobility and balance, frequency of falls and balance confidence in an individual after amputation. Methods: This is an experimental pilot case study that monitors the effect of an individually designed five-week training programme (with a frequency of exercises 2 times a week) on the EquiTest in one patient after unilateral transfemoral amputation of the lower limb. Examination of postural functions was performed by the EquiTest using SOT, MCT, and LOS tests. Title: Influence of a complex stretching exercise of lower limb on postural stability Objectives:: The main objective of this diploma these is to find out, using dynamic computerized posturography, whether the increased mobility of the lower limbs has a positive influence on postural stability. Another partial objective is to determine efficiency of the practised stretching exercises. Methods: This is a pilot study where in research participated five probands whose measurement results were evaluated qualitatively. The aged of probands at the time of the first measurement was from 13 to 18 years. All probands are male volleyball league players and during the last two years occurred to a marked grow by all of them. Title: The Effect of Thermotherapy on Postural Stability assessed via NeuroCom SMART Equitest Objective: The aim of this study is ti determine whether a one-time application of positive or negative thermotherapy has a positive or negative effect on the postural stability and/or balance in a sample of healthy young adults. The tool for achieving this goal will be statistical analysis of the results of the computerized dynamic posturography before and after application of thermotherapy. And futher a comparison with the results of the control examination. Methods: In this study we have used one-time application of positive and negative thermotherapy in the form of water immersion. A total of ten women and ten men with average age 24 years (sd = 2,18), average height 174,45 centimeters (sd = 7,72) and average weight 78,10 kilograms (sd = 18,10) took part in our study. Title: The effect of one-off so called sensorimotor serie exercise on postural stability measured on Neurocom SMART Equitest Aim: The goal of this thesis is to evaluate the effect of one-off so-called sensorimotor serie exercise on postural stability on a healthy young human measured by computerized dynamic posturography (CDP). Methods: This experimental study is using a cross-over design, it means that participants got the intervention in randomized order. 20 healthy young subjects participated in the experiment, 12 women and 8 men aged 20 to 28 years (23,55± 1,63). The group of men and women was randomly divided into two groups. Group E1 was measured by Neurocom SMART Equitest using three testing protocols (SOT, MCT, LOS), went through the one-off so called sensorimotor serie, and was measured again immediately afterwards (almost 30 minutes after the first measurement) at the first appointment. In 1 week ± 1 day (wash-out period) participants from the group E1 were only measured without getting any intervention and after 30 minutes break measured again. Title: Evaluation of dynamic postural stability in football players Objectives: The main objective of this diploma thesis is to investigate the difference of dynamic postural stability between football players and the common population and measure all the data by computerized dynamic posturography SMART EquiTest System from company of Neurocom. Methods: This is a quantitative cross-sectional study. The research is divided in two groups, an experimental group involving 25 football players aged between 20 and 30 years without injuries, an active career over 5 years and a control group involving 25 participants, who are recreational athletes aged between 18 and 31 years from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Charles University. Measurements of dynamic postural stability were performed on Neurocom SMART EquiTest in the Laboratory of applied kinesiology of Charles University Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. Everyone was tested just one time for all seven test batteries - Sensory Organization Test, Motor Control Test, Rhythmic Weight Shift, Unilateral Stance, Weight Bearing Squat, Adaptation Test and Limits of Stability. Michaela Stupková Year of defense: 2020 Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to assess static and dynamic postural stability and function of deep stabilization system of the spine in modern dancers and to compare the results with general population that does not perform any regular physical activity. Next to analyse the relations between postural stability and function of deep stabilization system of the spine in both groups. Method: This study is designed as observational comparative pilot study which included 16 modern dancers in experimental group and 11 women who do not perform any regular physical activity in control group. Methods: This is a quantitative cross-sectional study involving 40 participants aged between 22 and 29 years divided into two groups (climbers, non-climbers). Measurements of dynamic postural stability were performed on Neurocom Smart EquiTest in the Kinesiological Laboratory of Charles University, Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. Motor Control Test, Sensory Organization Test and Limits of Stability test batteries were chosen for this study. The measured data was subsequently processed by Neurocom Balance Manager Software.
