Comparison of the system for dealing with domestic violence against women in the Czech Republic and the Kingdom of Norway

The master thesis deals with a comparison of domestic violence in the Czech Republic and the Kingdom of Norway. Domestic violence is a serious problem, occurring in all societies regardless of time or culture. The thesis describes the funding system, the legislative framework of the issue, the main actors in the issue of domestic violence against women, the current situation with regard to the issue of domestic violence and the system of support both in the Czech Republic and in the Kingdom of Norway. The main objective is to describe and explain the approaches to dealing with domestic violence against women. The thesis is based on the theory of welfare state regimes, which is based on Esping-Andersen's 1990 typology of the welfare state, focusing on the concept of "women friendly" originally from 1987, as well as on the theoretical "public health approach", which focuses a lot on prevention, and is complemented by expert interviews with experts on the issues in the Czech Republic and the Kingdom of Norway. The title of the bachelor thesis : Idiomatic equivalents in French and Czech context Key words : Folk literature, idioms, proverbs, comparisons, folk sayings, rhetorics, Czech- French analytic study The bachelor thesis called Idiomatic equivalents in French and Czech context is an analytic study of two languages - French and Czech. The main aim of this work is to find differences between French and Czech sayings. The thesis is divided into several thematically separated parts. A term folk literature will be introduced in the beginning and particular terms will be chosen for further examination. The thesis will deal with idioms, proverbs, folk sayings and comparisons, and their history, meaning and use in French and Czech language will be the object of this work. Another part of the thesis will be focused on categories close to idioms, such as maxims, sentences and rhetorics. In the end the author will try to find new forms of idioms. The goal of the thesis is a linguistic study, in which particular French and Czech idioms will be found and compared.

Development of techniques and tactics of tennis, including current teaching methods

Title: The Development of Techniques and Tactics of Tennis, including Current Teaching Methods Summary: This bachelor thesis deals with the historical facts of tennis, charting the development of rackets, balls, and surfaces. Besides a brief description of the rules of tennis along with appropriate recommendations for beginners, the thesis covers the development of tennis techniques and tactics. In addition, previous training methods are compared with those of today and their regularities are clarified. Suitable technical manuals and sports websites were used as sources in this work. In conclusion, tennis has passed through many stages and improvements as a sport (not only in terms of teaching methods) since its inception, and it can be reasonably assumed that this trend will continue. 1 Abstract This paper aims at an empirical corpus driven analysis of a closed set of German comparative idioms with adjectives. Regularities in their variations are examined from several points of view. The contrastive German-Czech perspective contributes to a more objective understanding of the phenomenon itself. Corpus research results are integrated into the context of practical lexicography. The strategy of equivalence in a bilingual dictionary is discussed and reevaluated both theoretically and practically. Awareness of eating disorders.Comparison of knowledge among medical disciplines students and the public.

This Bc thesis deals with the food uptake disorders with emphasis on anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. The main purpose was to compare knowledge of students of medical disciplines and of general public. The theoretical part of the thesis contains basic information about the eating disorders. The main text defines the two best known types of the eating disoreders, namely anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, and also the less well known types such as binge eating disorder, bigorexia and orthorexia. Descibed are history of anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, the diagnostic criteria for the disorders, and the risk factors inducing the disease. Described are also typical manifestation and prognosis of the disease, concomitent complications and co-morbidities, and also the possibilities of treatment. The part presenting the results of the survey is based on anonymous questionnaires for two groups. The first group consisted of the students of the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, specifically the students of the general nurse health care and nutritional therapy. Evaluation methods of life indurance products

The thesis deals about methods widely used for life insurance products evaluation from the clients perspective. These methods of evaluation are important mainly for comparisons of several insurance products. One of goals of the thesis is to analyze existing methods used for evaluation of insurance products and discuss their suitability for comparing life insurance products. These methods are based mainly on cost analyses because they were originally developed especially for investments projects comparisons. The main goal of the thesis is to create new indices for comparing life insurance products. These new indices are supposed to resolve imperfections of regularly used evaluation methods. They are also designed to cover all functions of life insurance therefore they are supposed to provide with more coherent information for comparisons. The indices are based on knowledge of life insurance products, probability, demography, financial and insurance calculus.
