New synagogue in Opava
Hudečková, Miriama ; Gürtler,, Ivan (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor)
The aim of thediploma thesis is to design an architectural study of a new synagogue in Opava for the Jewish community. Content of the work is also a community center and administration. In the deign is a set of three buildings serving the Jewish community. The design is solved as an interconnected space between the public and the Jewish community. With its openness and permeability, it offers the opportunity to look into the Jewish community. The main object, the synagogue, for believers is directly linked to the construction of the Jewish community, where at the same level we can find mikve for ritual purrification. The second object, the Jewish community, offers two business units in the first floor. The important part of the Jewish community is education, and therefore the design of the Jewish community also contains a library and a clasroom connected to this library. The administration itself is located on the private last floor with a terrace. A third building, a community center, has been created to make the public familiar with the Jewish community, its religion and culture. The first floor is used by the kosher restaurant, which can use the central space between the park landscaping for sitting. The Community Center provides a lecture hall on the second floor and a spacious gallery for Jewish artists on the third floor.

Vjaclovský, Jaromír ; Vostrejž, Dušan (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor)
My diploma thesis is mainly focusing on analyzing the potential of chosen site and it’s possibilities to be used for building a community center. Designed building should serve as a starting point for revitalization of Ponava. It is designed in a way, which makes this building an icon of the whole revitalization process and also is offering a wide variety of cultural events. In a combination with proposed solution for traffic and people flow a meeting point for a wide spectrum should be achieved with designed building as a podium for city life. Office block is then stepping out a bit from this coulisse and is the most dominant part which is supporting the other cantilevered volumes. By doing so, the important role of municipality is captured in the image of the building itself.

New synagogue Česká Lípa
Knichal, Filip ; Gürtler,, Ivan (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis is the design of the New Synagogue in Česká Lípa on U Synagogy Street. In the past, there was a large Jewish community with a school, mikvehs and a synagogue in the area, which was burned down during the Crystal Night in November 1938. Today, there is a public parking area and dilapidated buildings from the 1990s. The aim of the design is to create a new facility for the Jewish community, including administration with a rabbinate, community center, archive of Jewish literature with study, multipurpose lecture hall, workshop rooms for the Jewish community with the possibility of renting the public, kosher restaurant for members and the general public. kosher products, a synagogue with a ritual bath mikveh and a memorial to the victims of the holocaust in the courtyard. The building should also serve to educate the general and professional public and the Jewish Sunday class for education and leisure activities. The dominant element of the whole building are the erected masts running to the lost in regular lines, like the reminiscence of the burned synagogue. This monument forms the center line of the entire building. The resulting volume is at a similar height of the original building according to the preserved drawing documentation. The masts themselves symbolize the victims of the Holocaust in Česká Lípa. At their tops are spotlights that symbolize the souls of the victims. The monument is complemented by two fountains with running water. The newly designed synagogue respects the position of the floor plan of the burned synagogue. The prayer house is deliberately situated below ground level in the spirit of the fulfillment of Psalm 130: 1 "From the depths of the bottomless I call to you, Lord."
New synagogue Česká Lípa
Marečková, Andrea ; Baranyai, René (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the design of a new synagogue in Česká Lípa. The solved area is located close to the city center on the site where the original synagogue was burned down during Crystal Night. The boundary of the area is U Synagogy Street, on the north and south sides there are terraced buildings and on the east side there is an embankment with a first-class road. The area used to be behind the city walls, which no longer exist. The design of the synagogue in the Z-V axis and the connection to the U Synagogy road are also important in the design. The negative factor that affects the area, is the busy and dusty road located on the embankment, which creates a visual barrier and divides the city into several parts. For these reasons, the synagogue was located at the intersection of the adjacent streets and as far away from the busy road as possible. The other objects in the design are positioned so that they create a noise barrier and their windows are not turned to communicate. Thanks to the location of individual functions, an inner block was created in the middle of the solved area, intended for rest and meeting of people. The location of the kosher restaurant attracts its location from the adjacent U Synagogy street and at the same time it is turned into a quiet courtyard, where there is a small outdoor seating area. The office building and community center line the embankment on the east side, separating the busy road from the quiet courtyard. These buildings are also facing the courtyard and only the windows of the stairs or background are located on the facade to the road. In the southern part of the area, a ramp leading to an underground car park is proposed, which connects the administrative building with the community center. An important element of the design are the perforated panels located on the facade of the synagogue. The perforation is based on a Jewish star, these are equilateral triangles. Thanks to the perforated panels, privacy
Society over the Sázava
Müllerová, Aneta ; Stehlík, Ondřej (referee) ; Nový, Vítězslav (advisor)
The aim of this project is a reconstruction of a former kindergarten building in Žďár nad Sázavou to a community center with several functional units. The existing building was bulit in 1960s. The site is located on the border of the old and new buildings – on one side, there is a Stalingrad housing estate from the 1950s built from brick houses in the socialist realism style. On the other side of the site are built new family houses, which are quickly expanding. The smaller part of the object is still used, the rest is abandoned. The house is surrounded by a large garden. The garden is defined by a fence and trees in a way, which creates a barrier, so the building does not communicate with surroundings in any way. The aim of the project is to create a centre of Stalingrad connected with surroundings and creating a meeting place for communities living in the area by using building interventions.
The new synagogue in Frýdek-Místek
Bartíková, Michaela ; Velek, Jan (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor)
The topic of my diploma thesis is the architectonical study of the new synagogue of Frýdek-Místek. The plot contained the original synagogue in the past, which was, like many other synagogues in Czechia, burned down by the Nazis. The only memento to the original synagogue left was the Jewish school. Its frontage was however stripped of all architecturally valuable elements and therefore lost all its historical value. For this reason, in the scope of this thesis, I have decided to tear down the old building and create a completely new complex, which will comply with the requirements of the Jewish quahal, with regards to architecture and utilization of the object. I’ve designed a monument, consisting of simple stone blocks in place of the old, torn down synagogue. The stone blocks mark the location of the outer walls of the original synagogue.
