Sorbenty toxických kovů a radionuklidů na bázi imobilizované huminové kyseliny a chitosanu
Mizerová, Gabriela ; Mizera, Jiří ; Machovič, Vladimír ; Borecká, Lenka
Sorption of Cs, Co and Eu on coal (oxihumolite and its parent lignite artificially oxidized to increase degree of oxygen functionalities) in mixture with chitosan was studied using radiotracer method. Distribution coefficients (Kd) increasing in the order Cs < Co < Eu reflected increasing charge of a metal cation and its increasing ability of complexation with coal humic substances(HS). In acidic media, Kds increased with pH due to dissociation of the HS binding sites. In neutral media, Kds of Eu (for oxihumolite also Co) decreased with pH due to formation of soluble HS complexes. An improved sorption efficiency of the coal sorbents at neutral pH was obtained in mixture with chitosan, namely for oxihumolite at sorption of Eu and Co. Addition of chitosan prevents deterioration of the sorption ability probably via removing the HS complexes from solution by formation of an insoluble complex with chitosan.

Valuation of CEZ Group
Kmínek, Václav ; Mařík, Miloš (advisor) ; Tůma, Pavel (referee)
The thesis is targeted to a valuation of CEZ Group. The Czech based utility CEZ Group ensures regular production and supply of electricity and other essential products for everyday needs of the population in CEE region. The purpose of presented valuation is to determine whether the shares of these publicly traded company are correctly valued and that there exists any upside or downside potential. The final valuation is primarily determined by using two well-known valuation approaches -- discounted cash flow (based on operating profit analysis) and peer group analysis (based on market analysis). In order to provide a full range of understanding, the thesis consists of eight main parts focused on company profile, strategic analysis, financial analysis, value drivers, financial plan, minorities and final valuation. Further, all these parts are split up into few sections. Conclusion of the thesis includes an investment recommendation.

The changes in the localization of the extractive industry and the political consequences.
Novosadová, Monika ; Vošta, Milan (advisor) ; Kašpar, Václav (referee)
The bachelor thesis analyzes the global changes in the territorial structure of the extraction of the mineral resources, especially the energy resources and less some precious metals and diamonds and related political consequences. This bachelor thesis describes also the importance of these resources for human society and their deposits. There are also outlined possible future development of the extraction of these resources. The first chapter illustrates general characteristic of the extractive industry. It introduces the ranking of the extractive industry, main mining regions and the biggest producers of some minerals. The second chapter closely presents energy resources, i. e. mining of energy resources, their deposits, their usage and possible future developments. The third chapter focuses on the mineral resources, i. e. their extraction, deposits, usage and possible future trends. The fourth chapter introduces the political consequences related with global changes in the territorial structure of the extraction of the mineral resources.
