Preparation of flight plan for cross-country flight from LKTB to OMDB by Zlin Z-143 Airplane

The objective of this study is the submission of entire flight plans of chartered routes, including risk analysis and necessary equipment for flights in the middle eastern region.. The paper describes rules for IFR flights, which must be followed when flying into these areas and also focuses on the meteorological situation, legislation and general geographical characteristics of the mentioned states. The flight to UAE is divided into several stages which makes the planning easier when searching for a specific locality. All the available information is according to AIP and AIC.
Proposal for adaptation measures to eliminate the climate drought

The aim of the thesis was to propose adaptation measures in the locality to eliminate climate drought. Additionally, the work on the proposed adaptation measures has been assessed in terms of their effectiveness and evaluation of their design. The part and contribution of the work is also to inform about problems related to climatic drought, finding their causes and subsequent.

The aim of the project is to capture the consumer attitude of society, the millennial culture, fake news, as well as planetary and social changes. It presents a stylized post-ironic statement of mostly narcissistic millennials, whose social platforms have become the main platform for expression, forcing us to reflect on the variety of information we are surrounded by and the need of its selection. It also opens the discussion about the phenomenon of denying the existence of climate change visible through the absurd arguments and the phenomenon of geoengineering, targeted human interventions in natural processes, primarily to permanently or at least temporarily cool the planet.

The proposal follows up on the undergraduate semester work which dealt with a topic of data centers - a lifestyle based on data circulation. Growing needs of city dwellers, coupled with the demand of constant connectivity, are reflected in the transformation of the landscape which is being occupied by gigantic data centers. Those data centres in the loopback reconfigure the environment of cities that use their instant and "unlimited" computing power. The landscape is becoming the engine room of digital urban life. The thesis develops social and environmental issues of "continuity between a city and a country” and outlines a problem of self-sufficiency and awareness of the energy intensity of current urban lifestyle. In my work I focus on one of the by-products of data centers. That is waste heat, which has a negative effect on the quality and lifespan of electronic components - it is undesirable. Data center entrepreneurs have found a way to divert unfavourable attention from the debate about the energy demand of big data. They transform waste into a desired commodity by replacing conventional forms of heating with a system newly based on the supply of waste heat. Therefore, they are becoming significant suppliers of thermal energy. The phenomenon of heat recycling neutralizes external criticism of big data by making urban life literally dependent on it. The sustainable future of data center operations takes place largely without critical debate. On the contrary, it confirms data production as a process that literally drives everyday life. This new wave of green techno-optimism and related implementations is shrouded in a discourse of innovation, environmental friendliness and smart data processing. The diploma thesis deals with the phenomenon of commodification of waste heat of a specific data center, and its potential for symbolic and material transformation of the urban environment. The critical dimension of this transformation allows visitors to literally experience first-hand the manipulation of the climate of a specific location - the new city market in Brno. Other issues arise in connection with the recycling of waste heat. What will happen when big data streams become a raw material to replace older forms of energy supply in an urbanized world? What will be the impact on the city´s heating, the economic and symbolic importance of data center entrepreneurs?
The influence of climate on the radial growth of Scots pine in the northern Scandinavia

The presented master's thesis deals with the influence of climate on the radial growth of Scots pine in the northern Scandinavia. Trees growing at the polar treeline are sensitive to environmental changes, and therefore their wood is used to study growth responses to ongoing climate change. During the period of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century, air temperatures and precipitation sums were correlated with tree rings and dendroanatomical data of Scots pine from northern Finland. It was found that the widths of the tree rings had a slightly increasing trend during the observed period. Within the framework of the correlation relations, the controlling influence of the air temperatures of the current July on annual increments was confirmed. Thanks to the higher temperatures of the summer season, wider tree rings were formed. In addition, May and summer precipitation have been shown to be important for the final width of the tree ring. The currently often discussed problem of decoupling the tree ring chronology curve from rising summer temperatures ("divergence problem") was not clearly observed in this work. Long periods of drought and irregular precipitation are common phenomena in the 21st century, which, along with the management of Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) outside its natural range in Europe, have led to the physiological decline and mortality of entire spruce stands. Drought significantly impacts tree growth and vitality, and these adverse effects are better monitored through tree water deficit (TWD) or water content in the tree. This study focuses on monitoring and analyzing the correlation between radial stem growth and climate changes at altitudes ranging from 380 to 972 meters in the Czech Republic. Growth was monitored using automatic dendrometers for five years (2016–2020). The negative impact of climate changes on radial growth is more significant at lower elevations below 650 meters above sea level, where the highest TWD occurred. This means that managing Norway spruce at lower elevations is risky and requires a change in management practices.

The topic of the bachelor's thesis is Comparison of the approach to climate change adaptation measures in forests in selected countries at the level of national plans and policies. In this context, the bachelor thesis deals with adaptation measures that are applied in order to mitigate the effects of climate change on forests and forestry. The bachelor thesis is written in the form of research. The thesis first deals with basic concepts such as climate change and its effects in general, the effects of climate change on forests and forestry, and adaptation to climate change. Subsequently, it deals with the characteristics of natural and socio-economic conditions and their vulnerability, the distribution of forest ownership and change in forest cover in Finland, Spain and Kenya. The last part is devoted to applied adaptation policies and national plans to climate change in the mentioned countries.

The presented thesis deals with tree ring research of the Norway spruce (Picea abies) and the European silver fir (Abies Alba) in the area of Czech State Forest (Janovice – organizational unit). The goal of the study was to create as long chronologies as possible from living trees of Norway spruce and European silver fir and compare the sensitivity of radial growth to climate parameters (average monthly/seasonal temperatures and average monthly/seasonal precipitation) between these two woody plant species. Tree cores were sampled by using Pressler borer from the selected individuals of studied tree species. The data were processed by standard dendrochronological approaches (e.g. visual and statistical synchronization, cross-dating, age-trend standardization, climate-growth response analysis). The analysis of climate-growth responses showed that high temperatures in the spring and low temperatures with available precipitation in June are key for radial growth of Norway spruce in studied site. In contrast, European silver fir showed a higher sensitivity to precipitation before the beginning of the growing season (February) and in summer (July). Both European silver fir and Norway spruce showed increasing sensitivity to high temperatures and precipitation since 1980.
Attitudes of the Czech Public to Climate Change on Earth – August/September 2023

In a survey conducted from the end of July to the second half of September 2023, the CVVM SOÚ AV ČR dealt with the long-standing and highly debated topic of climate change on Earth. We were interested in what the Czech public thinks about this topic. Just three-fifths (60%) of respondents are somewhat worried about the impacts of climate change (15% very worried, 445 somewhat worried), while 38% are not worried.\n\nMore than a half (51%) of respondents are interested in the issue of climate change, with 8% 'very interested' and 34% 'somewhat interested'. More than a quarter (27%) of respondents think that human activity contributes 'fundamentally' to climate change, 37% think it contributes 'a lot' and just under a third (31%) think it contributes 'a little'. Only 3% of respondents believe that human activity is 'not contributing at all' to climate change. 42% of respondents feel personally responsible for climate change on Earth, while the majority (56%) do not feel personally responsible.
