Large-area Protected Areas of Nature in Western Bohemia and Eastern Bavaria from Legal Perspective

The topic of this thesis is Large-area protected areas of nature in western Bohemia and eastern Bavaria. Within this topic, the thesis focuses mainly on less strict categories of these areas, i.e. on Czech landscape protected areas ("chráněná krajinná oblast") and Bavarian nature parks ("Naturpark"). From each of these two categories, I chose one particular representative area to deal more in detail with. These representative areas are Český les Landscape Protected Area and the neighbouring Bavarian Nördlicher Oberpfälzer Wald (Northern Upper Palatinate Forest) Nature Park. The aim of this thesis is to describe, analyse and compare the aforementioned protected areas, and - as the result - to evaluate the level of protection of these on both sides of the Czech-Bavarian border, as well as to potentially find inspirations for improving the relevant Czech legislation. The thesis is composed of seven Parts, whereas Parts Three to Six are further divided into chapters and (except Part Six) subchapters. This diploma thesis is focused on the specifics and requirements in large SPA in the Czech republic on newly established compositional features of Territorial System of Ecological Stability. Thesis is divided into practical part, in which the project of local biocorridor in area of Broumov was realized and theoretical output, which deals with general access to TSES nad Protected Landscape Areas og the Czech republic recquirements.

Krajina v pohraničí a její specifika

This bachelor thesis deals in the teoretical part with literature review on topic landscape. Practical part of the thesis deals with transformation of landscape in border region of the Czech Republic and Poland since the World War II up to present. The main study areas represent cadastral areas of villages Loučná nad Desnou (the Czech Republic) and Sośnicowice (Poland). Comparsion was made by a comparative method based on available sources and by semi-structured interviews with inhabitants of both villages. Based on research results, there were identified differences between landscapes of chosen areas in terms of economy and landscape structure. The first area is represented by forests and has mountain character on contrary to the second area, which is mainly used for agriculture and has a plane structure.

Návrh exkurze do chráněné krajinné oblasti

The bachelor thesis deals with the proposal of excursion for pupils of the Secondary Forestry School in Hranice and its use in the teaching of the subject forest protection within the framework of which the proposed excursion could be realized. The theoretical part defines and classifies excursion as one of the organizational forms of teaching, describes methods and principles used during excursion. It analyzes relevant information from literature, curriculum documents. The practical part contains a methodical design of the excursion into the protected landscape area. Incorporating the excursion into the teaching process provides of equal benefit to both pupils and teachers. It is an authentic and experienced learning in which development and shaping of the landscape can be observed directly in the exterior, which has a positive influence for the formation of their personality, makes up space for their creativity, allows the connection of theory with practice and supports to the improvement and permanent acquisition of new knowledge by creative teahing.

The architectural study deals with the design of Childern´s sanatorium with speleotherapy in Ostrov u Macochy. Design works with the idea of connecting with the surrounding nature, responds to the slopping terrain and tries to fulfill a comprehensive construction program. A characteristic element is the use of natural material – wood within the curtaing walling, which defines the architectural expression of the building. Emphasis is placed on renewable energy sources.

Specific Locations and their Influence on House Prices

The thesis deals with the influence of specific localities on the price of a family house. The introductory part is devoted to defining the basic concepts of work and the characteristics of specific localities within the Czech Republic. The application part opens up the formulation of problems, setting the goals of the thesis solution and the methodology used in the research. From various specific locations that may affect the price of a family house were selected protected landscape areas and spas. Based on these specific territories, cities were selected for market analysis. Using statistical methods, the obtained data set was tested and the influence of a specific location on the price of a family house could be determined from the resulting information.

Analýza a potenciál efektivního rozvoje CHKO Brdy

The thesis deals with analysis and potential of an efficient development of landscape park Brdy. Its aim is to raise public awareness of a recently established nature conservation area. A part of the thesis introduces a qualitative research cariied out in form of interviews with visitors in the area. The empirical part of the thesis deals with analysis of opinions and experiences of the visitors. The main aim of this part is on the grounds of respondents´ answers to propose basic arrangements for a future effective development of some sections of the tourism in the area. The findings are summarized and the given hypothesis is evaluated in the end of the thesis. There is also a proposal of new opportunities of an efficient development of this area in compliance with conservation of the current landscape form.
