Statistics of extremes
Fusek, Michal ; Neubauer, Jiří (referee) ; Michálek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with extreme value distributions. The theoretical part is devoted to the basics of extreme value theory and to the characterization of extreme value distributions. There is the limit theorem for distributions of the maximum formulated and characteristics of the extreme value distributions deduced. There are parameter estimates for Weibull, lognormal and exponential distributions inferred using method of maximum likelihood and method of moments. There is also the theory of censored samples described. The practical part is devoted to statistical analysis of rainfall.
Testing of Surge Arresters
Jeřábek, Lukáš ; Paar, Martin (referee) ; Krbal, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is devoted to metal oxide surge arresters. After historical and theoretical introduction, which explains their principles and describes their characteristical properties, analysis of the standard IEC 60099-4 and testing according to the standard with focus on the type tests follows. This chapter is also amended with review of the standard's imperfections and with its most probable future development. The work concludes with a market survey, a review of the largest manufacturers and a comparison of their products.
System for computer measurement of transistor characteristics
Krásl, Martin ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This thesis is focused on methods of measuring the characteristics of transistors in three basic connections. There is an example of the characteristic obtained from the simulator for each of the connections. Differential parameters are obtained from the resulting characteristics. These parameters describe a linearized equivalent circuit diagram of the transistor. To automate the process of obtaining characteristics, the next step of this work is the design and construction of the analyzer. The function of individual parts of the hardware is described in detail in the individual chapters. A computer application was created to control the analyzer. This application serves as the user interface. The conclusion of this thesis is a guide for a demonstration laboratory task.
Determination of Characteristics Fan
Vymětalík, Zbyněk ; Škorpík, Jiří (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor thesis are fans. The first part deals with subsumption of these machines. The second chapter is devoted to their dividing. As the measured fan is radial, the third chapter presents the theory of designing this particular type. The last pages focus on finding the characteristic curves and the main dimensions. At the end, there are the sizes drafted in the way to correspond with the recommended values.
Statistical Analysis of High-Frequency Financial Time Series
Langer, Roman ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
The goal of this Master's thesis is to analyze financial data by focusing primarily on the search of market inefficiencies that may lead to capitalization of found anomalies. The data comes from various sources and they need to be preprocessed. The analysis is based on high frequency time series statistical methods. The resultant characteristics are visualized.
The mass real estate appraissal methods
Tomec, Václav ; Dvořáček, Lukáš (referee) ; Ivanička, Koloman (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to explore the use of Mass Appraisal Methods in Czech republic. This diploma thesis specifies main use of those methods, next specifies who uses this methods and in which cases this methods are used. At first, there is description of appraisal methods used in Czech republic and abroad in this diploma thesis. On the basis of this knowledge utilizations of Mass Appraisal Methods are described. For illustration of Mass Appraisal Methods the appraisal of two sets of similar houses is performed for use of property taxes in context of legislation in Czech republic. Further advantages of appraisal systems are described, which use a Mass Appraisal Methods in praxes.
Engineering design of a fullsuspension mountain bike frame
Zvozil, Ondrej ; Lošák, Petr (referee) ; Březina, Lukáš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is designing of a full-suspension mountain bike frame. At the beginning of the thesis mountain bikes are divided into categories, the function of a shock absorber is described and issues of bike kinematics and related characteristics are clarified. The thesis also describes properties of the most used materials for bike frames manufacturing. Subsequently, the most common systems of rear wheel linkage are analysed. Next, the requirements for own design are identified in terms of geometry, construction, kinematics and a creation of its 3D model in SolidWorks software. The characteristics of designed frame are analysed by specific software Linkage X3. Then a static analysis in Ansys software is made in order to select bearings for individual pivots. The final part of the thesis is dedicated to visualisation of designed frame.
Characteristic of photovoltaic system
Pokorný, Marek ; Dolenský, Jan (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this work is informed first about photovoltaics universally, works to inform the photovoltaic panels and complete plants. The work also includes instructions on how to implement PVP in accordance with law. Another part is the rough draft of the photovoltaic power 30 kWp, which can be placed on the house, computation and calculation of investment and them profitable investments to time. Design is made in two separate forms of the Fronius Solar and Sunny Design, their outputs are compared. The practical part of this work cooperates with the company SOLARTEC Ltd. for experimental measurements of the photovoltaic system and develop a methodology for setting the properties of real solar systems in operation from the measured data then stored in a database. These data further evaluate and compare the similar operating conditions. This data will show as the course of production of electricity during the typical day in percentage terms, depending on the incident irradiance, cell temperature, angle of incident radiation, etc. We can compare what it looks like an ideal day in terms of production of photovoltaic power, with the other days. Further are in work mentioned histograms achievement panel behind classical day and behind all - time investigation.
Design and analysis of the properties of the hydraulic servo control of a small and speedy aircraft
Cäsar, Tomáš ; Bencalík, Karol (referee) ; Třetina, Karel (advisor)
Target of this thesis was to design servo-mechanism suitable for control system of small and speedy aircraft, such as business jets and light multi-purpose attack aircraft. Main task was to use suggested characteristics for computer analysis and determine impact of their changes on servo-mechanism properties. Further on, experimental way of determining these parameters.
Mapping of availability and structural characteristics of various types of addiction treatment and harm reduction services in Slovakia
Míčková, Gabriela ; Mravčík, Viktor (advisor) ; Koutská, Kateřina Olga (referee)
Background: Availability of services is an important parameter of the addiction care system. In Slovakia, the network of addiction services of various types is probably not as developed as in the Czech Republic, but the availability of specialized addiction care in Slovakia has not yet been sufficiently mapped. Aims: The aim of this bachelor thesis was to map all available addiction treatment services in Slovakia and also to map the structural characteristics of various types of addiction treatment and harm reduction services in Slovakia. Methods: The research part of this theses first consisted of mapping all available addiction treatment services in Slovakia in cooperation with key informants. Subsequently, a research file was created, used in the second part of the research - in a questionnaire survey devoted to the characteristics of individual services. The obtained data were exported to the Microsoft Excel and processed into tables and charts. Results: The results of the first part of the research showed that the network of addiction treatment services in Slovakia has significant shortcomings - mainly in terms of geographical accessibility for clients and the overall coverage of the various types of these services. On the other hand, the advantages of the addiction treatment services provided...
