Historical curriculum at primary school

This thesis discusses the historical curriculum in primary school and looking for ways to teach it effectively. Its aim is to analyze the educational goals of the historical curriculum of primary school. The introduction deals with the question of why history should be part of education in the first grade of primary school. Furthermore, it compares the historical conception of education at primary school in our conditions with the concept of the state, whose aims and methods of historical thinking are inspiring for us. Based on the findings and recommendations of domestic and foreign researches are in the empirical part of the thesis didactic designed tutorials selected topic historical subject matter with regard to diagnosis and development of historical thinking. Proposed lessons were implemented in the second year of primary school. At the end of each lesson is to evaluate the effectiveness of proposed schemes through analysis worksheets and comparing the results of the input and output mind maps and chalk talk. The entire set of lessons is evaluated through analysis of the final evaluation sheets pupils.
The Use of Documentary Films in English Language Lessons with High School Students

This diploma thesis focuses on the use of documentary films in English lessons with secondary school students. It consists of theoretical and practical part; this being further divided into didactic and research part. The theoretical part covers four main areas: aims of current education and language teaching, multimedia in teaching, authentic materials in English lessons, and documentary films as a didactic tool. By an eclectic combination of the most suitable findings, approaches and methods from these areas, three complex educational materials based on documentaries were constructed for English lessons. These materials contain worksheets for students, instructions for teachers, presentations for online teaching, and a set of additional sheets and present a ready-to-use tool for English classes. In the practical part, design of the materials is described, along with their subsequent evaluation by experienced English teachers. The analysis of the system of education and the development of workers in the chosen organization

The diploma thesis focuses on the employee training and development in Podzimek a synové, s.r.o. The main aim is to analyze the current system of employee training and development in the chosen organization and to suggest opportunities improving the system. On the basis of literary and electronic professional resources there are defined the basic concepts related to this area. There are characterized phases of training, motivating employees to learn and outlined the EU training support as well. The practical part is based on company introduction, a questionnaire survey, an interview with a human resources officer, an internal documentation and a personal observation. Information obtained through the use of above mentioned methods is interpreted and provides recommendations improving the current system of employee training in the company.
Development of metacognitive students' thinking with RWCT methods

The thesis on topic "Development of Metacognitive Thinking of Pupils by RWCT Practices" asks a research question: "How does RWCT develop the metacognitive thinking of pupils at elementary school and what are the outputs?" The aim is to find out the possibilities and the limits of the pupils' metacognition using the RWCT (Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking). In the theoretical part, this thesis deals with the definition of metacognition, relation among metacognition and autoregulation, metacognition and self-reflection, metacognition and teaching, and last but not least the RWCT procedures in terms of the objectives of the program itself and the objectives of the RVP ZV (Framework Educational Program for Basic Education). The possibilities of using the RWCT procedures in connection with the development of metacognitive thinking of pupils at elementary school level were examined using the action research that took place in a fifth grade, where RWCT procedures are being regularly used. Forms of Teaching at Higher Professional Schools

This thesis deals with organizational forms of teaching at higher professional schools. One of the aims of this work is to define these schools within the Czech educational system. The study of problems of organizational forms of teaching proceeds through categorisation of schools and subjects of study to education objectives. An important part of the study preceding the research itself are general theories of forms of teaching. These theories are supplemented with information on the forms of teaching at higher education institutions. The aim of the research is to find out which organizational forms of teaching are really used at higher professional schools from the point of time and a way of interaction of students in a classroom. The research also deals with out-of-school education. I used a form of qualitative research which was done at two Prague schools providing higher professional education. Development of pupils' independence by using the project method

The aim of this thesis is to determine whether it is possible to develop pupils' independence by way of the project method, which is based on my own practical experience. The thesis is divided into two main parts: the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part summarizes and evaluates the knowledge gained by studying the available literature on the topic of pupils' independence and the theme of project method. The conclusion of the theoretical part summarises the bases for the development of the self- reliance via project method. The practical part analyses my previous teaching experiences, like the use of project method in terms of pupils' independence and this analysis is followed up with the practical research, based on a new project which is focused on the development of the pupils' independence in the activating teaching methods that have not been used yet. The part of the appendix includes final pieces of pupils' works from some of the projects described in the practical part, pupils' mind maps from their projects and photo documentation of the newly realised project, which was aimed at developing pupils' independence. The impact of curriculum reform in the area of leisure

This work deals with curricular reform and its relation to leisure education. Trying to locate the targets of education for the society model curriculum. When finding the key competencies understood as primarily a means of fulfilling the objectives of reform attempts to map these competences, in the practical part analyze the documents containing leisure facilities targets and looking how their goals coincide with the goals of the curriculum reform, and whether the objectives of the planned use of key competencies.
Experience with the application of school educational programmes

Nowadays, the extensive transformation of the whole school system is taking place in our society. School curriculum is introduced into all primary schools since September 2007. This diploma thesis is focused on accumulated experience of primary schools with the creation of school curriculum and the first practical experience with its implementation The first part of this thesis is devoted to the history of Czech education reforms, defines the basic terminology, discusses the different parts of general educational program and describes the creation of school curriculum. Another part is devoted to the research where we compare the experience of some primary schools with the creation and the implementation of school curriculum. In this case, it is used the method of questionnares and observation. The research is mainly focused on the problems of its own making and implementation.
