A problem of electric powered wheelchair
Filipec, Petr ; Sikora, Michal (referee) ; Švejda, Pavel (advisor)
This work deals with the research electric powered wheelchair and one's own project for its improvement. At the beginning a basic characterization of powered electric wheelchair is described. The work continues with a study of research control systems. Next, statistics are worked up from opinion poll. Instrument for optimalization engine power and battery capacity is created in terms of this information.
Autonomous traction vehicle of a type AGV
Brauner, Jiří ; Urbánek, Michal (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of an autonomous traction vehicle of a type AGV, used to purvey material flow. The first part of the thesis contains a research on the autonomous trucks with similar concepts offered on the market. The second part contains the description of the design of the prototype truck. It includes the selection of the guiding and safety components as well as the design of the traction drive and the traction battery. Finally, a frame design with force calculation of the selected node is performed.
Accumulator capacity measurement
Lust, Radek ; Mišurec, Jiří (referee) ; Kolka, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work is mainly focused on the design of equipment for measuring battery capacity. In the introductory section is described the general characteristics of the battery, in the second part various methods of determining the battery state, finaly the third part is focused on hardware design used for the solution. The last part deals with the construction of a suitable control system and the presentation of its possibilities.
Accumulation of Energy from Renewable Energy Sources
Heller, Ondřej ; Radil, Lukáš (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
The objective of the first part of master’s thesis is mapping the potential of various types of renewable sources in Europe and Czech Republic, especially solar energy, wind energy, water energy and biomass. There are described principals and ways of energy generation from these sources, brief overview of current technologies, and also their advantages and limitations. An important part is electric supply continuity from renewable sources, there are large differences and the resulting to restrictions on construction and connecting the units to the power system. In this work there are mentioned some impacts on network and rates of change of supply, some sources are also evaluated in terms of maximum power, that can be connected to the power system in our country. The conclusion of the first part is dedicated to energy storage technologies, which are suitable and usable for renewable sources, there are described their principals, properties, status of development and types of aplications, in which these technologies are used. This chapter also focusses on the price level of each technology. The second part of the thesis deals with 1 MWp on-grid photovoltaic power plant design. This design includes also the redox flow batteries accumulation, the first variant calculates on 24-hour steady energy supply, the second optimalized variant calculates on daily energy supply. There are the accumulation system costs estimated and also the payback period for the both variants. Additionally there is also determined minimum penalization for cost-effective operation. The last part is dedicated to changes of impact on the local grid and changes of system impacts, after the accumulation system is installed.
Energy Consumption of Smart Device in Smart Houses
Bína, Ondřej ; Pluskal, Jan (referee) ; Matoušek, Petr (advisor)
A large number of manufacturers are currently developing smart energy-saving devices, which should benefit not only with their available settings, but in many cases also save households on the consumption of water, gas, or electricity. This work focuses on verifying the electricity consumption of the most commonly used smart devices in the home that a person can purchase. The goal is to measure the consumption of these appliances in the home and subsequent analysis of the obtained data. As part of the analysis, the key findings are the comparison of the measured data with the data given by the manufacturer and with the consumption of their original "stupid" alternative. In addition to the mentioned analysis, the output of the work is also a recommendation of suitable device modes for specific use cases.
Role of battery capacity in charging habits of battery electric vehicle users
Řehořek, T.
This paper is focused on the role of battery capacity in charging habits of battery electric vehicle (BEV) users. For this purpose, a simulation that mimics the users’ behavior was created. Using this simulation, the differences in charging frequencies in vehicles with different battery capacities were studied. Using the same simulation, a load shape of power demand was derived that showcases how the technological advances in regard to increased battery capacities may affect this power demand.
