Revitalization Program of Floral Garden in Kromeriz

THE GARDEN IN A CRISIS The first problem. Moving the entrance from the rotunda axis in the north to the area where the farmyard surrounded by greenhouses is situated. The consequence of this step was destruction of the conception of a floral garden and further, confusion of a visitor caused by the new and excentric garden entrance. The second problem. The original noble fill of the forefield has been perfectly cleaned, including the structure. Therefore the courtyard of honour is wedged in the two huge unspecific areas. The third problem. The nineteenth century is gone. Nowadays visitor is hard to please and unconcentrated. THE CONCEPTION Revitalisation and amendment of the forefield structure concept in subareas is both practical and it offers the esthetic quality which was lost. In relation to the axis of the garden, the area is adversely divided by some new buildings. These functional stripes make the optical barriers and they are clear in their axis. There are minimaly two six smaller areas created out of two bigger ones. Moving the main entrance from the courtyard to the rotunda center line means a possibility for the garden to step out towards its future development without some drastic changes in a objects which are part of a monument conservation but not functionally defined any more. The more, the garden gets its lost axiality, sense and a story about men's journey again. The application of the principles of the baroque garden in filling of the forefield gardens is either wrong or not considered properly. Polarized (and polar) gardens offer extreme positions of two contradictory trends. A superframed garden made by the nowadays technology versus a grove of wisdom where the nature is both a constructor and an architect. All of this with a baroque garden somewhere in its centre.
Baroque liturgical textiles in the collections of the Episcopal Diocese of České Budějovice

v anglickém jazyce The book presents an array of woven patterned fabrics from church treasuries in the territory of the Diocese of České Budějovice. The examples provided originate in the period spanning from the 16th to the 18th century, and they represent only a small selection of the surviving collections. The focal point consists of a magnificent collection of textiles from the 18th century, documenting the development of the individual historical spheres of decors overlapping into corresponding variants of design. The variability of patterns pertaining to this century is unusually high, and it combines a large number of sources of inspiration with roots in exotic overseas countries. The catalogue entries are furnished with brief technological analyses that offer an insight into the textile production of the respective periods and, at the same time, they provide researchers with a deeper understanding of the individual fabrics on display. Although the area of the Diocese of České Budějovice to a certain degree exceeds the boundaries of the Region of South Bohemia, the collections examined were, in their majority, imported from western European countries manufacturing weaving products of world renown. Renovation of the colour of the facades on examples of Prague's Baroque architecture Abstract The presented bachelor's thesis entitled "Renovation of the colour of facades on examples of Prague's Baroque architecture" deals with the various ways and steps of repairing the facades of monuments and historical buildings. This thesis aims to present possible procedures in the widest possible context and to show them in specific examples. The first part of the work outlines why it is so important to correctly choose the colour solution and its appropriate use. This part has also defined the importance of the colour of the facade, especially in the Baroque period. The second part describes the individual procedures for the selection of colours, shown on the examples of reconstructions of Baroque monuments in Prague. According to a detailed analysis of the relevant documentation and other documents of the renovations, which are stored in the archives of the National heritage institute. It is also stated what we should take into account when repairing the building - other architect's work, the urban context of the building, and subsequent modifications to the monument itself. Baroque flute and historical development of opinions on the interpretation of the flute literature

This work is dealing with progression and interpretation of transverse flute with a special emphasis on the baroque flute focusing on the interpretative aspect of contemporary interest in this musical instrument. The evolution of a flute will be monitored from the very inception, whose testimony is provided by archaelogical discoveries, over antiquity and medieval to renesance, where we can observe much more comprehensive and specific information of development of this musical instrument, whose tones accompany humankind in varios forms for centuries. In next pages the work deals with the crucial period in which this flute was very widespread, namely the Baroque style, where the period interpretation of the baroque transverse flute will be described. We will approach the history of our musical instrument in the work to around the year of 1916, where we will learn about the type of so-called multi-flaps flute. In the final part we will get to workshops of current major manufacturers producing these period instruments, such as Martin Wenner, Boaz Berney, Rudolf Tutz and more. We will also take a look at the pictures of the flute in fine arts, poetry and we will present concrete works of art in the form of paintings, engravings and statues.
