An effect of generalized joint hypermobility to the frequency of ankle joint injuries at girls' basketball players of the age category U11-U17
Veseláková, Andrea ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Satrapová, Lenka (referee)
Title: An effect of generalized joint hypermobility to the frequency of ankle joint injuries at girls basketball players of the age category U11-U17 Objective: The main objective of this thesis is to assess the frequency of generalized joint hypermobility and its relation to the frequency of injury of the ankle at girls' basketball players of the age from 7 to 16 years. The secondary goal of this work is to evaluate effectiveness of the balance exercises integrated into the experimental group of girls' basketball players. Methods: The theoretical part is elaborated as a recherche of foreign literature in particular. In the practical part, the injury frequency of the ankle is analyzed by the quantitative methods using a survey and the frequency of the generalized joint hypermobility assessed by clinical tests of motion by Carter and Wilkinson, Beighton and Bulbena. Furthermore, a controlled experiment is included in which practice balance exercises had been included to the training of the experimental group of girls' basketball players BK Brandys nad Labem and its effect to the dependent variable, the frequency of the ankle injury, was monitored and compared with the control groups BK Prosek and SK Aritma. Results: In this study the link between the frequency of the ankle injury and the presence of...
Development of power abilities of children of primary school age
Pixová, Lenka ; Engelthalerová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Hronzová, Marie (referee)
DEVELOPMENT OF POWER ABILITIES OF CHILDREN OF PRIMARY SCHOOL AGE ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study is to verify whether the formed set of exercises will have a positive effect on the strength capability progress of the 4th graders. The program is composed of different balance and coordinative workouts. It will be going on under my guidance twice a week for a period of three months, always at the beginning of every P. E. lesson. The package of practices will take 10 minutes, excluding stretching and warm-up. All the exercises will be noted down in didactical sheets. The indicator of the program success rate is going to be the tested by a motion test; specifically by staying power in pull-up, standing long jump and 60 second sit-ups. The measured performances and the weight of all the exercisers will be recorded. The same measurement will be carried out with the controlled group which is supervised by its form teacher. Finally, the efficiency of the whole program is compared. KEYWORDS: power abilities, balance exercises, primary school age

Title: Case study of diagnosis of total hip endoprosthesis Author: Maria Stylianidou This Bachelor Thesis includes the treatment of the case of my patient who had an operation of total hip endoprosthesis 3 years ago, caused by osteoarthritis. Focusing in kinesiology and biomechanics of the hip after surgery and discuss its correlation with the low back. My Bachelor Thesis consists of two parts: theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part includes the anatomical, kinesiological and biomechanical aspects of the hip joint as well its connection with the lumbar after hip operation by possible complications which affect the low back. In practical part I analysed every procedure I have done with my patient, all examinations and their conclusions and day to day therapy procedures and progress. At the end of the therapy sessions, the patient had some important changes concerning her pelvis and spine, fascias, muscles as well as her gait pattern.
