Šmejkalová, Barbora ; Novotná, Klára (advisor) ; Větrovská, Renata (referee)
Title: Comparison of the proportion of physical activities in patients with multiple sclerosis and individuals of the general population Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis was to find out, through a questionnaire survey, whether there is a difference in the representation of physical activities in people with multiple sclerosis (MS) and individuals of the general population (GP) during their normal week. I also wanted to find out whether demographic data affect the level of physical activity in individuals of both groups. Another goal was to find out if there is any difference between trends and types of physical activities in individuals with MS compared to individuals with GP. Methods: Data was obtained using a questionnaire survey. The respondents of both interviewed groups filled in the standardized Godin-Shephard Leisure-Time Physical Activity Questionnaire, complemented by several developing questions concerning mainly the representation of physical activity in their everyday life. The data was obtained from 630 individuals of the GP (individuals without chronic disease) and from 354 patients with MS in the age range of 25-70 years. An online questionnaire was used to obtain data from respondents of the GP. Patients with MS filled in a questionnaire as part of a previously undertaken...
Evaluation of the effect of circuit training with the use of labile surfaces on the postural stability in the general population
Vachová, Anna ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Helena (referee)
Title: Evaluation of the effect of circuit training with the use of labile surfaces on the postural stability in the general population Objectives: The main aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the effectiveness of circuit training using unstable surfaces on the static and dynamic postural stability in the general population. Methods: This study is among quantitative experimental studies. The research was done from June 2021 to January 2022. The research involved 40 probands of the general population. The probands were randomly divided into two groups of twenty. The intervention group practiced during circuit traings for 2 months with unstable surfaces, the control group practiced circular training without any unstable surfaces. Dynamic and static postural stability was measured by functional tests: Star Excursion Balance test, Unipedal Stance test, Timed Up and Go test, Sit to Stand test and Functional Reach test. These tests were used before and after the intervention. The following statistical methods were used in both of their groups: Shapiro-Wilk test, paired T- test, Mann-Whitney U test. The level of statistical significance was determined using α = 0.05. Clinical significance was calculated by using Cohen's d. Results: The results of the study showed that unstable surfaces have some...
Present physical activity and fitness of employed population in Capital city Prague.
Kučera, Patrik ; Hráský, Pavel (advisor) ; Bunc, Václav (referee)
The important role in the quality of living is the body and soul care. The ancient Greeks has already known, that health and soul care are very important. They professed so-called kalokaghatia or state of body and soul wellbeing. The objective of my bachelor thesis is the life style of the others. I will focus on the group of people, that should move the more then other people. I will investigate the working population in the Capital city Prague. I will focus on the group of employers from the large international companies. It will people with sedentary job. It means employment, where they are physically passive. I think, that this group of employers should offset their passivity the more than people with manual work or employment. I will investigate their complete life style. I mean their physical intervention, health care and eating habits. Using my research I would like to draw appropriate conclusions. Thanks to them, I would like to create or make some specific opinion on this group of people and employers. I will see, that my hypotheses will confirmed or refuted. Key words: physical activity, fitness, nutrition, comon population

Social stratification in sport and comparison of persons with physical disabilities (wheelchair users) with the general population in České Budějovice.
BARTOŇOVÁ, Květoslava
This bachelor thesis is focused on the comparison of possibilities how to utilize kinetic and sport activities for common population and for persons with physical handicaps in Czech Budejovice. The main aim of theoretical part was the study of available materials and definition of basic terms. The practical part contents searching of possibilities of kinetic and sport activities for common population and hadicapped persons, contacting companies, guided (controlled) interview and finally arrangement of data. CAISOVÁ, Veronika
This thesis deals with the traditional Chinese martial art of tai chi chuan its relevance for humans and the use of lifestyle. The theoretical part describes components and its health, lifestyle, tai chi chuan and his philosophy, historical development, energy chi, individual styles, reports, and basic movements. It is in this part of tai chi chuan compared with other motion systems. The practical part consists of educational research in the form of questionnaries, interview and practical exercises. The survey shows that 30 out of 34 respondents (88 %) familiar with the concept of tai chi chuan, see his contribution in the field of mental and physical health. For further educational research shows that tai chi chuan exercise is suitable for all ages, which reported 29 out of 34 respondents (85 %). Ages of respondents ranged from 19 to 62 years. 34 respondents practiced in the range of 0,5 h ? 1 hour, 2 times a week for 3 months. During this period there was a noticeable increase in overall well-being and mood, which I subsequently verified in interview with respondents. Given the small number of respondents from the general population and unevenly distributed research groups (number, tender, region), this work became a pilot study.
