Audiovisual Productions and Copyright - Summary The topic of this thesis are audiovisual productions in relation to copyright law and selected legal relations, which can take place during audiovisual productions. These legal relations are important mainly from the perspective of copyright law, but also overlaps into neighboring branches of law are mentioned, with regard to the civil code recodification. The first chapter is focused on defining key concepts. Firstly, there is defined the concept of audiovisual production as a type of business and the legal conditions for its performing. The concept of audiovisual work in the context of copyright law is defined next. The characteristic attributes of audiovisual work are defined and the specific conception of authorship is considered, followed by traditional division of audiovisual works and its perception through certain public-law norms. With regard to the specifics of audiovisual works, the character of works audiovisually used is also mentioned. In the end of the first chapter the term producer is defined, his relation to the author of audiovisual work and specific rights, to which is entitled by the copyright code. Audio-visual work and audio-visually used works and performances Abstract The aim of the diploma thesis on Audio-visual work and audio-visually used works and performances is to provide an overview of key concepts of the Czech audiovisual legislation. The thesis mainly focuses on private-law aspects of copyright, but it also touches upon the subject of public regulation in the field of public support of audio-visual sector, regulation of advertising and media, or liability for administrative and criminal offences committed by infringement of the relevant intellectual property rights. Emphasis is placed on the intellectual property related to the creation of audio-visual work as a subject matter of copyright protection and on the entities and individuals that participate in the creation and production of audio-visual work. The first part of the thesis covers basic copyright concepts of the Czech legal system and sources of law relevant to the audio-visual sector, and it briefly mentions the legal instrument of collective rights management in the Czech Republic. Economic Aspects of Film and Video Production

The paper is focused on economic aspects of film production. It can be used as a source of knowledge about film financing and understanding where money for realization of movies are taken. The description of grants together with institutions which these money donate and conditions under which the donation can be implemented are also part of this paper. Basically all the production requirements and principles are covered throughout the whole paper. For easier way of understanding the whole topic the text also presents each step of preparation, realization and also postproduction of projects in general. Methods for project management applied on the specific one which is a film in this case are also submitted. To complete the whole theme the laws influencing the author rights are mentioned as well.
The specifics in scheduling short AV works

The bachelor thesis deals with the process of preparing an audiovisual work with a particular focus on a comprehensive shooting schedule. First, the thesis describes the film production process, including its parts. The thesis also includes specifications and differences between various parts of works included. Through problems and their solutions the system of scheduling is explained. The thesis describes the documents and materials needed for scheduling including their requirements. Outcomes created in the process are also defined. The conclusion of the thesis is devoted to the practical application of theoretical knowledge in the scheduling of a short student film. The examples are explained through the application of these methods and are shown in real output.
Project management in the audiovisual production

This paper deals with the application of project management approach and determination of the project life cycle methodology, according to the PMBoK field of audiovisual production. Using other methods of project management, implementation and evaluation of control systems for processes in the formation and progress of the project. Determination of the legislation that covers this area. Creating a general procedure, which is divided into various stages of implementation and identify key processes and milestones that need to be further defined. It introduces a system of checks and assessment procedures to facilitate the acceptance and fulfillment of set conditions. Improved work and access to information that is critical for the project. Supporting the project processes with software tools to facilitate the implementation and its management.
