Algae and cyanobacteria in the context of sustainable development

The subject of the thesis is the potential of microscopic algae and cyanobacteria and its research at the ALGATECH Center, Institute of Microbiology, Czech Academy of Sciences. The theoretical part of the thesis presents the potential uses of algae and cyanobacteria, including situating the potential within the context of sustainable development. Furthermore, concepts such as science and research, normal and post-normal science, basic and applied research are defined. To understand the issues, key factors influencing science in the Czech environment are also illuminated. The aim of this qualitative research is to gain insight into the research and cultivation of microscopic algae and cyanobacteria. To thoroughly understand the complexity of the issue, the thesis poses additional research questions concerning factors influencing the cultivation and research of microscopic algae and cyanobacteria. These questions are answered through data collection via semi-structured interviews and documents. The collected data are sorted and analyzed using framework analysis. Analysis of internal communication and utilization of ICT for communication in a specific organization

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze internal communication in a specific company and propose possible improvements. Such proposal is based on surveys and interviews with company owner. Theoretical part includes definition of internal communication, its effect on company´s functioning process and factors that influence it. Mentioned are also different communication instruments, mainly ICT instruments that can be effectively used for company´s internal communication. Practical part applies acquired findings on a specific situation in a specific company. Aim of this research is to analyze current situation of internal communication, determine its weaknesses and propose possible solutions of their removal.
Child and art: Importance of selected art activities for shaping the personality of the child at the age of basic school

Four different themes were researched during 5 years: lifestyle, socialization, creativity and relation to art. Each theme was examined in 5 different art spheres : music (choirsú, visual arts, theater, contemporary dance and folk dance. It was the same group of childern being surveyed during the whole period (age 10-14). The leading hypothesis stated that "Art atcivities can supply childern with cultural capital for life, i.e. set of key competencies, knowledge and skills, which positively influences his/her social capital as well".

Researching of brand - case study of measuring loyalty

Diploma thesis is about loyalty concept of customer in brand research. Thesis is divided into 2 parts. First part is theoretical introduction into concept of brand loyalty - definition of main terms, analysis of loyalty concept, historical context, possible methods of measurement and chosen theoretical approaches of various authors. Follows overview of measurement methods used by chosen market research agencies for loyalty measurement in practice. Those methods are derived from given theoretical approaches. Practical part consists of own loyalty research by mostly used methods. There were 3 methods used - Loyalty method by Millward Brown, TRI*M used by Aisa agency and Net promoter score, that is often used by companies for "self made" loyalty research. The aim is to compare results of those 3 methods of loyalty measurement. The same sample of respondents was used - the same people in the same time with the same attitude to chosen brand. Results were compared to each other and enriched by several discussions.
Analysis of internal communication in connection with IT, processes and management in a specific organization

This diploma thesis primarily focuses on analysis of internal communication in a particular company and proposals for improvement. To meet this objective, first the importance of the internal communication for the company and the factors that affect it are described. After that channels and tools of internal communication and the importance of IT for communication in the company were generally defined. Then the various means of communication using IT were analyzed. Another information source used in the thesis are the results of the applied research, which was conducted among employees and management of ANAFRA company and focused on identifying critical issues that ANAFRA in the context of internal communication face. The last part of the thesis combines all of the previously gathered information and proposes solutions of the identified problems. Conclusions of the thesis may serve as referential valuable source for professionals and owners of small and medium businesses.

Floristic mapping of the Elbe Sandstones Protected Landscape Area (since 2000 including the Bohemian Switzerland National Park) proceeds since 1991, simultaneously with a similar project on the German side (in the Saxon Switzerland). The main contribution of this project consists in the methodical, scientific (e.g., new taxa in the territory of the Czech Republic) and applied level (e.g., basis for management and forest planning, designation of new protected areas).

In 1952-1963 the development of the agricultural universities was influenced by a lot of reorganizations.The administrative, bureaucratic and centralistic forms dominated in the methods, organizing and management of the scientific and research activities. In 1962 The Czech. Academy of Agricultural Science caesed to exist and the management of the applied research was administered in The Ministry of Agriculture. The priority of the basic research in the agricultural universities was given by The Czech. Academy of Science on the biological, economical and technical disciplines.
