Vývoj vysokých škol zemědělských byl v letech 1952 - 1963 charakterizován četnými reorganizacemi. V systému organizace a řízení vědeckovýzkumné činnosti dominovaly administrativně - byrokratické a centralistické způsoby práce. Vědeckovýzkumná práce byla na VŠZ v l. 1956-1963 řízena po třech liniích (ČSAV, ČSAZV a MŠK). V r. 1962 byla ČSAZV zrušena a řízení aplikovaného výzkumu převzalo ministerstvo zemědělství. ČSAV prosadila na VŠZ nový směr základního výzkumu v komplexu biologických, technických a ekonomických věd. In 1952-1963 the development of the agricultural universities was influenced by a lot of reorganizations.The administrative, bureaucratic and centralistic forms dominated in the methods, organizing and management of the scientific and research activities. In 1962 The Czech. Academy of Agricultural Science caesed to exist and the management of the applied research was administered in The Ministry of Agriculture. The priority of the basic research in the agricultural universities was given by The Czech. Academy of Science on the biological, economical and technical disciplines.
