Prostředí pro testování algoritmů potlačení útoků DDoS
Patová, Pavlína ; Šišmiš, Lukáš (referee) ; Kučera, Jan (advisor)
The work is focused on creating a test environment for simulating DoS attacks. This environment is useful for verifying the vulnerability of networks and services against the phenomenon of DDoS attacks, therefore it will be used to test the tools and techniques developed to defend against DDoS attacks. The outputs of these experiments can then be used as recommendations for network administrators to help improve the refensibility of their systems. The resulting tool is implemented in Python using the PyTest module. We were able to implement many of today’s most common DoS attacks, such as floods and amplification attacks. It is thus possible to test services against these most serious DDoS threats. The resulting tool is easily extensible to other methodologies or attack types, so it can also be used for emerging DoS attacks in the future.
DNS Service Attacks Simulation
Navrátil, Tomáš ; Kekely, Lukáš (referee) ; Kováčik, Michal (advisor)
The theme of this bachelor‘s thesis is the simulation and detection of cybernetic attacks on the DNS service. The goal was to simulate chosen attacks, analyze their behavior and create a tool capable of detecting these attacks in network traffic and replicating them for research purposes. The tool was able to successfully detect DNS attacks in normal network conditions. These results are discussed further at the conclusion of this paper, along with possible uses this application might have to other developers, and ways the program could be improved or extended in the future.
Precise Audio Amplifier for Quality Listening
Janošík, Lukáš ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a design of quality audio preamplifier designed for high quality production. The typology of whole design emphasizes very important transmission properties, i.e. high signal-to-noise ratio, high separation of channel, low distortion, The content of the semestral thesis is an symetrical input, relay input switch, 5 band equalizer with bypass and symetrical output with active line driver.
Stress tester
Shpak, Kyrylo ; Člupek, Vlastimil (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of stress testing. The aim of this work is to extend the JMeter tool with amplification modules of DoS attacks. The beginning of the work introduces the issue of DoS attacks, along with a description of selected attacks. One of the points of the work is to verify the functionality and find errors of the stress tester, which is a comprehensive system for testing the information and communication infrastructure based on the JMeter tool. The last chapter deals with the implementation of DoS attacks.
Mobile Application for DNS Vulnerabilities Testing
Béder, Michal ; Ovšonka, Daniel (referee) ; Kováčik, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to show the way how to implement an Android application, which allows full control over DNS packets creation. This was achieved by partial implementation of the application in C++ programming language. Furthermore, in this thesis are described topics as Android security model and possibilities of combining native and Java code. Resulting application allows to generate network attacks, which are exploiting some of the known DNS vulnerabilities.
Application for the Data Processing in the Area of Genome Engineering
Brychta, Jan ; Burgetová, Ivana (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
This masters thesis has a few objectives. One of them is to acquaint with the problems of genome engineering, especially with fragmentation of DNA, the macromolecule DNA, the methods for purification and separation of the nucleic acids, the enzymes used for modification of these acids, amplification and get to know with cluster and gradient analysis as well. The next aim is to peruse the existed application and compare it to the layout of the proposed application, that is the third aim. The last one from the objectives is the implementation and the report how was the application tested by the real data. The results will be discussed as well as the possibilities of the further extension.
Tube guitar amplifier
Mostecký, Jan ; Balík, Miroslav (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis studies guitar tube amplifiers. The thesis introduces basic concepts behind electrical valve circuits. After that there is a scheme of a modified vacuum tube amplifier designed by the author. The functionality of the design has been verified via computer simulation. Designed amplifier was built afterwards and its functionality was verified via measurements.
Significance of MLL gene aberrations in patients with acute myeloid leukemia
Šárová, Iveta
In acute myeloid leukemia (AML), predominantly in AML M5a, the most frequent recurrent aberration of chromosome 11 involves region 11q23. Molecular breakpoint studies of several translocations involving chromosomal band 11q23 led to the detection of a gene that was named MLL (myeloid/lymphoid leukemia). This gene is important for the proper HOX gene expression during ontogenesis and hematopoiesis. Chromosomal aberrations affecting the MLL gene occur in 5 - 10 % of AML cases and are very variable. Since that time, more than 70 different translocation partners of the MLL gene have been described. Aberrations of the MLL gene are associated with an aggresive type of the disease and its detection is needed for the treatment decision. Therefore, we investigated the occurrence of MLL abnormalities in bone marrow cells of the 66 newly diagnosed AML patients, using conventional cytogenetic and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) analyses with a commercially available MLL Break Apart Rearrangement probe (Abbott VYSIS). Out of the 66 patients, we proved MLL abnormalities in 9 (13,6%): 5 (7,6%) showed translocation of MLL gene, in 3 (4,5%) we detected MLL gene amplification without any evidence of rearrangement and in 1 (1,5%) pacient only an extra copy of the MLL gene. The FISH results were verified by...
