The theoretical part is focused on explanation and clarification of methodologic terminology, all the methods and didactic approaches existing in foreign language teaching, which are presented chronologically. There are also influential psychological and linguistic movements important for development of the methods summarized. Then the research based on survey for teachers follows. This part explores which techniques, typical for particular methods, prevail in contemporary teaching. The aim of the research is to find out which methods and techniques are chosen by teachers and what factors influence their choice. The practical part functions as a sort of evidentiary test. Attitude and experience of teachers of nursery schools with alternative methods.
PECHOVÁ, Aneta
This Bachelor thesis of mine is divided into two parts. The initial, speculative section, is aimed at defining the most frequently used alternative methods. The second section inc-ludes those methods that give enough scope to be applied within educational activities of nursery school children. The objective of the speculative section is to present complete information trying to find out about the way of using alternative methods that can be ap-plied to teaching children or informing parentsThe functional section provides the results of qualitative research activities. The main objective of this was to gain some knowledge of alternative methods and their consequential contacts both with children and parent-sThe aim of this thesis is to discern the true extent of the teachers´ knowledge of the way the alternative approach is made use of with children and the scope within which they cooperate both with children and their parents. To reach this goal, a semi structured talk to the teachers was used. Some of the nursery school teachers working in the South Bohe-mian region made up a research group. Both an audio recording and a written account were made for further processing the interviews. As a follow-up a detailed date analysis was made using a method of information coding. An enquiry based on this research provided the fact that teachers might unconsciously know something about all these methods and are making use of them in their everyday activities but they are often not able to give them their proper denotations. Most teachers show real interest in alternative methods and are using them in their life which is the easiest route to success in their educational activities. Another interesting result of this exploration was lack of interest with parents in alternative methods leading both to possible support of the process of their children´s development and their more effective education. The knowledge thus obtained can supply nursery school teachers with a higher grade of teaching skills awareness and could bring about new ideas for the work they are doing. They can also open up new alternatives in the area of both their approach to children and their cooperation with parents.
Education of home care clients in the use of alternative methods
PECHOVÁ, Aneta
The bachelor thesis work is divided into two parts. The first part presents the characteristics of the alternative methods that are used most often. The other one is aimed at the methods that use the medical care at the clients in home care agencies. The theoretical part is dedicated to the complete information that defines basic possibilities of the further curative and additional alternative methods and that can be used by a nurse in practice or to educate a client in an acceptable way. In the practical part there are results elaborated by the method of qualitative inquiry. Four targets are determined here. The main one is aimed at disclosure of phenomena in area of nurses and clients education; in scope of usage of alternative methods in consequence of their cooperation. The aim of this work is to find whether nurses are educated enough to be able to use alternative methods that are applied in nursing. In addition, whether a nurse is able to educate a client as to alternative methods and possibilities of their application. Moreover, we would like to find whether clients are interested in alternative nursing methods and possibilities how to utilize alternative treatment; simultaneously with usage of these knowledge in practice. To realize our aims we used the method of "semistructural" interview that was most suitable owing to the qualitative access to the point. We could not use another method of "semistructural" interview with clients because of disagreement of the addressed clients. The experimental group was made up of nurses working for home care agencies in Jindřichův Hradec, Prachatice and Tábor. We interviewed the nurses about their educative abilities and strategies used in the field of alternative methods. To fix the results of the inquiry we made up an audio-record and written record. Then, the results were analyzed in detail; a code-method was used. The research proved that the nurses do not take advantage of their educative abilities fully. The reasons for this state: the nurses are not motivated in a sufficient way or their employers do not enable them to obtain an appropriate education. From the analyzed nurses´ questionnaires is perceptible that clients are interested in alternative methods and they are able to collaborate with nurses in this poit of view. The application of alternative methods in health care demands further education of nurses in this field. These methods are put in the foreground of the complex care of a client. The obtained pieces of knowledge can be used for better informedness of nurses and bring them some new information for their occupation and, in addetion to that, to show them some other possibilities of cooperation with a client. Additionally, they can open new room for other research work.

Alternative methods of therapy for oncology patients
BĚLOHLAVÁ, Nikola
Breast carcinoma or breast cancer is one of women?s most often diagnosed tumors in the Czech republic. Several types of scientific treatment are currently available nevertheless it is a very serious disease. It is understandable that women suffering from breast cancer and all cancer patients and their relatives expend considerable effort to obtain information about all types of available treatments which can reverse the unfavorable diagnosis. Very often they resort to some form of alternative therapy. Alternative medicine provides a large choice of methods. But the problem is, that positive effects of alternative therapies are not checked (14). Oncological diseases are very serious, therefore alternative therapies pose a risk to oncology patients when they replace scientific treatments as an alternative. The aim of this thesis is to determine the opinion of women with breast cancer on alternative therapies. The component aims of this work are to find out what the women know about the risks and types of alternative therapy methods in oncology, how women?s point of view on this kind of therapy changes, how these methods affected their life and which of this methods are the most popular with women with breast carcinoma. I deal with the biological and psychosocial aspects of breast cancer in the theoretical part of this thesis and then classical and alternative therapies of treatment which can be used during the treatment. The question of the disease of breast cancer is a very individual sphere. It is assumed that information of intimate character will be used. I considered it suitable for this purpose to use a qualitative form of research. I chose the technique of semi-structured interviews. I prepared a list of instructive questions and then added additional questions as required. The respondants to the interviews I recruited using the technique snowball. I found the contacts through a woman who I know very well. The interviews with the women were processed in the form of case studies, I prepared 7 case studies. 11 women were asked but 4 women refused to participate. I divided the women into 3 categories according to their opinion of the alternative therapies of treatment for their disease. Common factor was that non of the women t disturbed or neglected the prescribed plan of treatment provided by a team of specialists. Two of the women momentarily wanted to finish the classical prescribed treatment. The largest part of respondents was favorably inclined toward the alternative methods of treatment. Two women stated that they are sure that the alternative methods were successful. Two respondents said that they have a positive opinion on this treatment, but they are not sure of the positive effect of alternative therapies. Three other respondents had the opposite opinion on the alternative therapies in oncology. One of these women said that her bad opinion of alternative therapies was caused the terrible experience her friend had with alternative medicine. Almost all respondents used one of the alternative methods during their disease despite the fact that most women do not believe in the positive effects. Two women were not aware of the use of any kind of this therapy. The most commonly used methods were food supplements. The minority part of women (2) used biotronics, homeopathy and acupuncture.
