Adult age categories are based on developmental periods and are classified by age: young adulthood (20-29 years), middle adulthood (30-44 years), and late adulthood (45-60 years). The theoretical part discusses further education, which is part of lifelong learning. It also builds on the psychology of adult learning, within which insights into individual developmental periods of adulthood are presented, and existing knowledge of motivation and barriers in adult education is also explored. The aim of the work was to analyze and describe the current attitudes of individual adulthood categories towards learning, their motivation, and barriers in further education. In my bachelor thesis deals with defining the relationship between the emerging concept of adult education at EU level and the expression of support in the national curriculum of the Czech Republic, response documents and putting into practice on a national scale. The fundamental point I think the concept of the Lisbon process and its implementation at European level. The priority thesis will evaluate the progress of the Czech Republic in accordance with the educational policy of the European Union, mutual compatibility and complementarity of the two concepts of education.

Interest in adult education

The bachelor's thesis deals with the field of interest adult education and its support in a selected locality in the Town of Velešín. The theoretical part defines the basic terms connected with the topic of interest adult education. A theoretical basis is analysed there and a special discussion to the key terms in the presented area is described. In the practical part the particular regional aspects in interest adult education are shown and a comprehensive view of these issues in a selected locality is presented. In the selected institutions that present the widest offer of interest activities in this field and are involved in the area of interest adult education, the content and methodology of offered activities are analysed and, at the same time, the marketing aspects of offers of other kinds of education are explained. The result of the thesis is a comprehensive evaluation of the present state of activities of interest adult education offered in a selected locality and also the recommendation and suggestion in which way the facilities can present their activities further on.
