Proposals for Improvement of Services in the Hotel

This diploma thesis deals with suggestions for improving the services of Hotel U Labutě in Žďár nad Sázavou. It is a small hotel with a number of competitive hotels. An important part of the work is an analysis of the current condition of the hotel and proposals for solving specific shortcomings found during the analysis. The purpose of the proposals is mainly to improve the quality of the services provided and increase the attendance of the hotel restaurant.

Pension

This thesis solves the construction of a pension that is situated on the street Vídeňská in Mikulov. It is 3-storey building and it is based on strip foundations. The roofing of the pension is solved with hipped mansard roof. The building plot is on the mildly sloping terrain, situated towards the south. Technical design solves the object, which is suitable for short accommodation in form of the pension with full board. The purpose of the use of the building is providing accommodation and restaurant services.

The Proposal of Business Development Strategy for Small Company Providing Accommodation Services in Slovakia

The main focus of this thesis is a proposal of business development strategy for small company providing accomodation services in Slovakia. The first part is theoretical and defines basic concepts as strategy, strategic management, development and growth of small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as its characteristics. It also describes selected analytical-research methods which goal is to reveal the key factors influencing the current situation. These methods are then applied in the second part, the analytical, where the external and internal environment of the company is mapped and analyzed, together with the influencing factors. The third part, the proposing, interprets possible solutions and recommendations based on the results of selected analyzes, which aim to ensure the future development of the company.

Influence of insulation of a guest house on expenses related to the operation of the property

The thesis solves the construction of the pension and deals with the assessment of the impact of the thermal insulation on expenses related to the operation of the property. The pension is situated on the street Valtická in Mikulov. The building has one floor and is founded on strip foundations. Roofing of the house is solved with irregular gable roof. In the first part of the thesis is a theoretical introduction mentions the possibility of building insulation and insulation methods. In the practical part of the thesis is an assessment of the heat transfer coefficient of the pension and costs associated with heating. There is also a proposal for modifications of the envelope construction with assessment of the heat factor and there are also proposed modifications to reduce the costs of operating the property.

The aim of my dissertation is forming of bussiness plan for providing of accommodation services without boarding, situated in a small vinicultural village, considering and choosing of the most suitable form of its financing. The project begins with a vision of owners, it continues with marketing analyses and a market research, a preliminary financial calculation and it finishes with choosing of the suitable investor.

Elektronická evidence tržeb v České republice

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of electronic evidence of sales in the Czech Republic. Its goal was to evaluate the efficiency and profitability of the electronic evidence of sales among taxpayers running business in accommodation services. The literary part of the thesis describes the issue of business and the electronic evidence of sales together with aspects of its implementation and tax evasion. In the practical part, data of accommodation services from the Czech Statistical Office and the Financial Administration of the Czech Republic in the period 2012-2020 are evaluated. The results showed the fulfilment of the precondition of the electronic evidence of sales and an increase of the tax base for accommodation services business owners.

Impact of COVID-19 on accommodation services

In December 2019, the first case of coronavirus infection was detected in China and has begun to spread worldwide. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on establishments providing accommodation services. The theoretical part presents a literature search that focuses on tourism, accommodation services and facilities, the COVID-19 pandemic, government measures and compensation programs. The practical part focuses on the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on accommodation services, which are explored through a questionnaire survey among accommodation operators in a particular region and through an analysis focused on specific accommodation facility. The conclusion of the work presents suggestions and recommendations for accommodation facilities related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This work deals with the selected matters of sharing economy in tourism. The tourism belongs to the important economic fields in the today´s world. The tourism has both positive impact on cultural education through visiting new places and negative ones like environmental pollution. Sharing economy and tourism are linked together. People use sharing economy, especially in the area of accommodation services. Information and communication technologies support utilization of sharing economy. This paper is focused on the situation in the Czech Republic, with an aim to find out what the Czech people generally know about sharing economy or whether they use sharing economy in their lives.
