The first part of the thesis provides essential information about eLearning. It attemps to explicate terms connected with eLearning, it briefly outlines past, contemporary and future development of eLearning. Furthermore there are mentioned basic types of eLearning software systems and most common standards used in eLearning nowadays. The second part has several objectives - firstly to find out the measure of use of eLearning at University of Economics in Prague, secondly to find out individual experience with eLearning and Uiversity of Economics in Prague student's opinion of by eLearning supported education. The survey is realized by way of questionnaires sent to the students via email. Last objective is analysis of acquired datas and confirmation or contradiction of certain presumptions.

Hlavným bodom je vytvorenie metodológie vhodnej k analýze a porovnaniu stránok vybraných univerzít. Tie prejdú detailným rozborom, na jeho základe budú bodovo ohodnotené.

Strategy of further IT development at University of Economics Prague

This thesis deals with problems of development and future heading of IS/ICT at the University of Economics Prague. Its main focus is on application integration. First part of this thesis is aimed towards explanation of corporate and information strategy, its need, benefits and possible risks. Second part of this thesis covers possible approaches to integration, mainly to the integration of various applications. Last part discusses actual situation at the university. Primary goal of this thesis is to determine actual IS/ICT conditions and lay down possible ways of improvement in each area. Secondary objective is to develop a base documentation for project aimed towards implementing an integration platform to the university. Those goals were achieved by thorough analysis of present situation accompanied by discussions with experts about possible development in IS/ICT at the university supplemented by literature research. Main benefits of this thesis lay in detailed revision of current state if IS/ICT along with specification of next possible projects towards having an advanced IT at the university. Partial benefits are in the area of preparation of contractual documents for project of implementing an integration platform.

The Role of Multimedia in Educational Support Systems

The aim of the diploma thesis "The Role of Multimedia in Educational Support Systems" is to analyze the current role of multimedia in information systems and to explore the existent use of multimedia in the educational process at VŠE. By doing so, the reader will be presented with a comprehensive roundup of the current technological tendencies concerning multimedia and their use in the educational environment. Among the topics analyzed within the scope of the technological foundations establishing chapters are the current role of multimedia, data types, transmission channels and the digitizing process. In the subsequent section, multimedia is being perceived as a concrete tool supporting the educational process. Based on the research conducted at VŠE that analyzed the technological, financial and personnel conditions, a concept of multimedia learning model was proposed in the eighth and final chapter. The current state analysis and the proposed multimedia education model at VŠE constitute the author's principal contribution to the educational field and at the same time a starting point for a future melioration of multimedia education deployment at VŠE.

Analysis of MS Dynamics AX and its teaching at University of Economics.

The main goal of this work is to create a guidebook for purposes of the business information systems 1 course taught on University of economics at Prague. The guidebook firstly briefly describes MS Dynamics AX 2009 as a whole and each module of the system is described more closely afterwards. Inseparable part of this work are created training scenarios, which will provide students possibility to verify their knowledge. Another goal of this work is configured environment MS Dynamics AX 2009 for school purpose, handed together with this work in form of data. Knowledge from my profession will help me to achieve all goals described above. Passing the intended course is a good support for the right aiming of my bachelor's work. The contribution of this work is creating a guidebook, which will help to improve the quality of the business information systems 1 course. The guidebook will provide a good base information source for using MS Dynamics AX 2009. Undoubtable benefit is MS Dynamics AX 2009 environment configured for purpose of university of economics at Prague.

Cílem této práce je zanalyzovat a porovnat celkovou úroveň webových stránek vybraných univerzit z celého světa a navrhnout konkrétní doporučení pro inovaci internetové prezentace VŠE. K analýze, při níž je aplikováno celkem 21 kritérií, jsou použity webové stránky těchto pěti univerzit: City University of Hong Kong, Harvard University, University of Otago, University of South Africa a Vysoké školy ekonomické v Praze.

Srovnávací studie pojetí informatiky na univerzitách

Předmětem zájmu předkládané bakalářské práce je analýza a srovnání pojetí informatiky na univerzitách. Její součástí je stručný popis vývoje výuky a dále krátké představení informačních technologií. Stěžejní částí je samotné hodnocení a srovnání výuky informatiky. Na základě metodiky hodnocení studijních programů navržené Centrem pro studium vysokého školství byla zformulována metodologie vhodná k analýze vybraných univerzit a jejich studijních programů. Skládá se z deseti kritérií, na jejichž základě bylo provedeno zhodnocení každého ze čtyř vybraných programů. Součástí analýzy je vyhodnocení, komentář k výsledkům a zhodnocení silných a slabých míst.

Comparison of the czech universities' websites

Tématem práce je srovnání webových stránek českých vysokých škol. Její hlavní část tvoří jednotlivé analýzy a konečné srovnání oficiálních stránek dvou předních českých vysokých škol. Srovnání je prováděno na základě tří základních kritérií, z nichž jedno má ještě další tři kategorie. Daná kritéria jsou doplněna o váhy, které vyjadřují jejich důležitost. Nejsou porovnávány technické aspekty stránek, analýza je zaměřena na běžného uživatele a jeho základní požadavky. U nalezených nedostatků je popsán návrh na jejich řešení. V samotném závěru je provedeno testování na třech skupinách uživatelů. Ti jsou vybráni tak, aby představovali co nejreprezentativnější vzorek všech možných návštěvníků stránek vysokých škol.
