Design and Implementation of Project for Optimizing Processes within IT Project Portfolio
Hrušková, Eliška ; Doskočil, Radek (referee) ; Širáňová, Lenka (advisor)
This diploma thesis aims on the usage of project methodologies in implementing solutions within IT. The theoretical part closely describes concepts of project management, process modelling, audit and other identified topics. Second part contains a description of Garrett Motion company, in which this project is executed, their aim, locations and a analysis of current state. The design part introduces a project aiming on process optimization within IT Project Portfolio with BIC Tool and implementation of activities related to support these processes.
Zachranka App UX Improvement
Vu, Thi Bao Ngoc ; Zavřel, Jan (referee) ; Pluskal, Jan (advisor)
This work aimed to improve the user experience of the Zachranka app for deaf users. The aim of the work is to make the application more accessible, easier and faster for deaf people to use during crisis situations. To improve, the original design of the application was gradually modified. The designs incorporate insights from current designs of similar applications, comments from deaf people, and information from the dispatcher’s manual and the emergency services operator. The first draft of the modified application was created and tested by deaf users. A second draft was then created that corrected the errors in the first draft. The result of this work is a design that is more deaf-friendly than the original application design, while facilitating the exchange of important information between the deaf user and the operator.
Web design of a construction company
Ličman, Jan ; Šimáček, Ondřej (referee) ; Dohnal, Radek (advisor)
This diploma Thesis deals with problematics of web design in civil engineering. Specifically, it focuses on the web design of a projective construction office. The basic concepts relevant to the problematics are defined in the theoretical part of this Thesis. The practical part begins with initial analysis which consists of an opening workshop with a client, a survey and competition research. Based on the analysis findings, target group and project direction are set. Following these steps, the web design is created. It consists of several parts – generation of ideas and possible solutions, information architecture, sketching, prototyping, prototype testing and graphic design itselfs, which is output of this diploma Thesis.
Web Tool for Testing Based on Q-Sorting
Mička, Vojtěch ; Bartl, Vojtěch (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis describes process of designing user interface and implementing online q-sort application. The primary goal is to design the user interface as similar as possible to the classic q-sort with graspable elements, and to solve problem of easy understandeable layout with many functional stand alone elements on the limited size of monitor. The thesis describes the process of designing, implementing and testing of the application and it includes experiment for validation of application useability. The outcome of this thesis is an online application for q-sorting and the text of thesis documanting whole process of implementation.
Mobile Application for Image Annotation
Hřebíček, Pavel ; Čadík, Martin (referee) ; Brejcha, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with a topic of creation of cross-platform mobile application for image annotation. The theoretical part of my thesis describes the specification of the application both in terms of design and functionality. The practical part discusses the actual implementation of the application from the technologies used through the application architecture to implementation of the tools and functions themselves. For the practical part of this thesis was used the Qt framework, which is based on the C++ language. It was also necessary to become familiar with the issues of UX Design and Usability testing.
Uplatnění UX designu v rozhraní databáze UniCatDB
MASTIL, František
The master thesis identifies the most frequently used methods of user experience design, structured according to project phases. Selected methods from the theoretical part are utilised in the design of an application for managing dynamic findings UniCatDB.

Redesign of user interface of a web application based on UX design principles
Fröhlichová, Karin ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the redesign of the web application user interface based on the principles of UX design. The theoretical part is focused on defining the concept of user experience (UX), as well as the sub-disciplines involved in the creation of user interface (UI), which together creates the resulting user experience. The aim of the theoretical part is to describe the individual steps of the selected procedure of the UX design process based on the principles of user-centered design. The main aim of the practical part is to design a web application that corresponds with the principles of UX design, requirements and goals of users and business. Partial goals are to perform the analysis and research of the target group and the company, and further testing to verify that the designs are in accordance with usability and accessibility principles and also to verify the suitability of the UX design process chosen.
Design of user interface and implementation of application for test execution in TestLink
Skalický, Tomáš ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Veselka, Marcel (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to design a user interface and to implement an application that is used for test execution in test management tool TestLink. This application is designed to streamline and simplify the process of test execution in this tool. The theoretical part of the thesis describes features and the interface of TestLink and compares it with other similar tools. The practical part is focused on analysis, user interface design, and implementation of the application. The outcome of this thesis is in addition to the application itself also a library written in PHP, which is used for communication with the application programming interface of TestLink and which simplifies the creation of similar applications.
