Transformations of Sacred Space.
Mléčka, Jan ; PhDr.Martin Horáček,Ph.D. (referee) ; Doc.Ing.arch.Michal Hronský,PhD. (referee) ; Petelen, Ivan (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor)
The Christian church has been an inherent part of human continuity for more than thousand years. The external appearance of the Christian church has always reflected societal transformations as well as turning points in history. Moreover, it has become an integral part of our existence both in space and time. Nowadays, we frequently hear that the crisis of European society is in effect an identity crisis, an inability to ask about where we are heading and what the meaning of life is. The reduction of time givenness to the already limited scope of our own physical existence destroys the ability in a man to ask questions and find answers to them, or even enquire about the meaning and essence of things. The carefree, dispersed husk blown by the wind may seem to be free and independent; however, it has also stopped trying to actively find paths for future generations. One of the fundamental attributes of an architect should be a strong aptitude for synthetic thinking, which includes multiple knowledge of social cognition, i.e. in the currentness of present experience as well as in time. This knowledge should ideally help to identify the core of problem, and to define the general rules applicable, regardless of changes in social demand, trends or taste. This dissertation, concerned with the “change” of the Christian church, ought to provide a compact, effective platform based on a synthesis of all analytical findings in the areas of architecture, liturgy, history, and theology. This platform can be applied in architectural practice, education (both architectural and theological), pastorage, and other wide, well-researched social discourses on the current form of the Christian sacred space, its basis and likely future development. The emphasis should be put on individual interpretation of a target group rather than dogmatic interpretation of dramatic revelations. Therefore, the first half of the dissertation will analyse the theological and symbolic basis, and historic transformations. Whilst, the second half will depict the current approach to the creation of sacred space in both newly built churches and the ongoing conversions of existing spaces. In conclusion, the dissertation will debate the future direction of sacred space in post-Christian Europe.
Tridentine reform of diocesan clergy and its selected exterior expressions. The Cleric clothing as a reflection of demands on diocesan clergy after the Council of Trent.
Sklenář, Michal ; Kotas, Jan (advisor) ; Kuźniar, Mariusz (referee)
Thesis presents diocesan clergy reformed by the Council of Trent in a way of historical- liturgical probe: requirements set on secular clergy and external expression of these demands with the clerical dress - cassock. The work knowingly preserves historical and theological planes: firstly it brings basic points for institution of the sacrament of priesthood (Levitical priesthood of the Old Testament, priesthood of the New Covenant and its further rethinking), then it comes with contextual establishment of the Council of Trent (convening, process, discussed themes, follow-up reception of the Council decrees) and its results mainly in a relation to the clergy (theological grasp of the clergy). The thesis subsequently outlines position of the clergymen as a state, upon which society and country put certain clearly defined requirements. The treatise itself then shows individual demands lain on clergymen from the Church reformed by Tridentinum (formation in seminary, self conception of the clergy). All these specific demands are reflected in a stringently designed form of the clerical clothing meant for everyday wear. In this context the work brings inspiration both for creation of the professional clerical clothing and its influence on appearence of the religious habits and finally comparison with...

The topic of the work "We Zbyněk, by the Grace of God Archbishop of Prague, Legate of the Holy Apostolic See, Supreme Council of His Grace the Roman Emperor, Master of the Crusaders with the Red Star..." Or, the Life of the Archbishop of Prague in the Rudolphine Period will be the life of the tenth Archbishop of Prague, Zbyněk Berka of Dubá and Lipá, whose episcopate is bordered by the years 1592 to 1606. Archbishop Zbyněk Berka came from the birth of the Old Bohemian Ronovec family, from a Catholic-oriented one branches of the Berk of Dubá and Lipá and sat on the throne of St. Adalbert in agony years - in the second half of the reign of Emperor Rudolf II. During his episcopate thus he experienced an alternating growing government of non-Catholics with a political turnaround associated with the rise of a new generation of Catholic-bred lords in the late 90's. century. Zbyněk himself was an ardent supporter of the recatholic p16th program, within which, among other things, in 1605 he convened a diocesan synod in Prague, which represented a response to the reforms of the Council of Trent and their implementation on our territory. In the same year he wrote the work Synodus archidioecesana Pragensis reflecting synodal provisions. The work will try to reflect on the Czech confessional issues associated...
Liturgy of the Mass after the Councils of Trent and Vatican II. Outline Comparison
Harcuba, Lukáš ; Kotas, Jan (advisor) ; Tichý, Radek (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis and subsequent comparison of Roman liturgy of the mass its two forms: ordinary and extraordinary, as were defined by Pope Benedict's XVI document Summorum Pontificium in 2007. First chapter briefly summarizes basic principles of Christian divine service, in the second chapter we discuss structure of liturgy celebration, as was formed over the centuries. In the subsequent chapters the orders of mass according to the Missals of St. Pius V and Paul VI are analysed and compared in outline. The work is complemented by excursion on the liturgical space, as it is used for celebration of the liturgy in two mentioned forms of the Roman rite.

The registry in the Bohemia
ČERNÁ, Kateřina
The aim of this thesis is to describe the development of register records in Bohemia by comparing the recent records in registry books with those issuing from the oldest registry books. It also shows the importance of the register records today and in the past, as well as the changes of these specifications and data through out the centuries. The importance of this thesis is to highlight the fact that the records in the registry books were originally determined to be registers of received sacraments arising from the clerical regulations issued by the Roman Catholic Church. The Trident Council instructed to keep registers of christening and marriages. But the implementation into practise of these registers took longer than it was expected. The register agenda in the Czech lands was not uniform until the 18th century. The proper integration of the register agenda was stated after this period on the basis of state regulations. The Roman Catholic Church contributed actively to the origin of keeping such an agenda and was also entitled and entrusted to supervise the register record of all other Churches.
Original Sin in the Church Tradition and in the Outlines of Possible Future Doctrinal Synthesis
