Tématem práce "My Zbyněk, z Boží milosti arcibiskup pražský, stolice svaté apoštolské legát, jeho milosti římského císaře rada nejvyšší, mistr křižovníků s červenou hvězdou..." Aneb život pražského arcibiskupa doby rudolfinské bude život desátého pražského arcibiskupa Zbyňka Berky z Dubé a Lipé, jehož episkopát ohraničují roky 1592 až 1606. Arcibiskup Zbyněk Berka pocházel z rozrodu staročeského rodu Ronovců, z katolicky orientované větve Berků z Dubé a Lipé, a na svatovojtěšském stolci seděl v pohnutých letech - ve druhé polovině vlády císaře Rudolfa II. Během svého episkopátu tak zažil střídající se sílící vládu nekatolíků s politickým obratem spojeným se vzestupem nové generace katolicky odchovaných pánů na konci 90. let 16. století. Sám Zbyněk byl horlivým zastáncem rekatolizačního programu, v rámci kterého mimo jiné roku 1605 do Prahy svolal diecézní synodu, která představovala reakci na reformy tridentského koncilu a jejich zavádění na našem území. Ještě téhož roku sepsal dílo Synodus archidioecesana Pragensis reflektující synodní ustanovení. Práce se bude snažit o reflektování české konfesní problematiky spojené s fungováním znovu obsazeného pražského arcibiskupství jakožto jednoho z vůdčích nástrojů rekatolizačního programu a především osobním arcibiskupovým plánem pro postup proti...
