SelfTest Tool Improvements and Fixes
Šabart, Otto ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
SelfTest is a tool designed to test user knowledge on the basis of preformed testing sets. This software hasn’t had any user quality evaluation tools nor testing set analysis tools. Therefore this thesis covers design and description of its implementation. It also examines scripts for testing set parameters evaluation and designes various metrics for user quality and testing sets evaluation. Adding support for SQLite3 database, creating database adapter, improving logging and adjusting some class interfaces are some other parts of the program also mentioned in this thesis, which were necessary (or appropriate) to implement additionaly.
A Tool for Testing of DPWS-Based Web-Services
Malášek, Vojtěch ; Očenášek, Pavel (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is a design and implementation of tool for testing and monitoring of DPWS-based web-services. At first the thesis contains explanations of basic concepts related to Web Services, DPWS and used design patterns. Further the thesis contains the design and tool implementation description. The tool provides a client-side services implemented by Windows Communication Foundation, which communicates via the DPWS-based service. The service is implemented using .NET Micro Framework and can be run in the emulator in the integrated development environment. Obtained results and options for further extensions are mentioned in conclusion.
Security Tool for wifi Network
Hala, Martin ; Henzl, Martin (referee) ; Kačic, Matej (advisor)
The main purpose of this tool is testing wireless networks security level for both personal and commercial use. It is based on latest knowledge about security of wireless networks. Key features are: portability - implemented on live linux distro, simple manipulation - well aranged GUI, testing - rich options of tests selection, security level evaluation - recommendations consequent on NIST standard.
M2m Data Generator Utilizing Wireless M-Bus Within Smart Grid Infrastructure
Hudec, David
Current forecasts predict that the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) will account for about 10 billion devices by 2020. Unique, recently unthought of demands are initiating new ideas, particularly Industry 4.01 and SmartGrid networks. In this paper, a newly developed multi-platform software tool capable of testing capabilities of Wireless M-Bus (WM-Bus) networks via simulating sensor-like behavior and communication is presented. As utility companies lack these features, this software implementation and hardware design open the door for initial verification of WM-Bus-based data transmissions without the need to invest money into expensive development and certification where WM-Bus is used for data transmissions.
Comparison of defect management tools
Kulíček, Martin ; Hyblbauer, Jan (advisor) ; Buchalcevová, Alena (referee)
In nowadays, the increased use of information systems than ever before. For these, it is necessary to test these systems and provide clear and compherensive information about the resulting defects (errors). These overviews help to do the process of removing defect more effectively. The theoretical part is mainly dedicated search terms related to the topic and clarifies under what circumstances defect arises and what the defect is. The analytical part is an analysis of the market and then defines the basic parameters for comparison tools to manage defects. In the final part leads to the actual comparison of selected tools according to the set criteria of the analytical part and a subsequent recommendation which tool is as a best of set criteria. The content of this thesis is used as overview of properties by tested products, which are available at the market with tools for managing defects. Output of thesis can serve as a credible source of information in process of decission which product to choose according to specified criteria.

A Tool for Testing Network Applications
Hornický, Pavol ; Peringer, Petr (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
This master thesis addresses the issue of software testing. It discusses different types and forms of testing such as white-box testing, black-box testing, unit testing, integration testing and regression testing. Further it deals with the specific problems of testing network applications and automation of the testing process. To solve these issues, the thesis presents a language based on XML for describing testing cases. The following chapter describes the design of this language interpreter. The thesis also deals with problems occurring during implementation phase of similar tools and their possible solutions. Functionality demonstration of designed tool helped to discover an error in product of AVG Technologies CZ, s.r.o..

Management of manual tests in HP Quality Center version 12
Luksch, Patrik ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Doležel, Michal (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to describe Quality Center version 12, which is a tool developed by Hewlett Packard for testing software functionality. The first part of this thesis is devoted to basic terms of testing and its methods. The types of testing tools are introduced and Quality Center itself is categorized into appropriate category. The next part contains description of installation and settings of Quality Center and also the manipulation with this tool which consists of planning, start-ups of manual tests and failure reporting. With this thesis the potential future user of this tool should be able to create requirements for testing, the testing sets and also to write the tests, run them and evaluate them. The contribution of this thesis is the emergence of a guide in Czech, which is useful for teaching software testing at the University of Economics or Competence Center.
