Technical Analysis
Kratochvíl, Bohumír ; Dřímal, Dominik (referee) ; Novotná, Veronika (advisor)
Master´s thesis goal that the author hopes to achieve is a design of an application aiding stock technical analysis based on identified needs. Based on analysis regarding modules for technical analysis of current trading platforms, I found out there is a certain space for improvement. Implemented trading rules and technical indicators of the application itself are further examined in terms of prognostic success rate on historical data. Selected chapters of technical analysis are fundamental base for this master´s thesis.
Implementation of Statistical Functions Using HLS
Šinaľ, Peter ; Martínek, Tomáš (referee) ; Dvořák, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to design and implement selected statistical functions used in technical analysis. I focused on moving averages, Black-Schles model for calculating option prices and Indicator Delta. These functions are through HLS transformed into an appropriate description for programmable FPGA. During the transformation process, emphasis is on low latency and resource consumption. Created solutions demonstrate the potential of HLS. They show complexity of the technical analysis and hardware requirements. Achieved results show high accuracy in the simulations. Deviation from the reference value is approximately 6,615*10e-3. The results also indicate thet that reducing latency does not necessarily cause an increase in the consumption of resources on the chip.
System for Testing of Business Strategy
Lanc, Martin ; Květoňová, Šárka (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
Aim of this thesis is to introduce questions about trading stocks on global stock exchange. It shows up basics ideas, which are necessary to understand the system of trading stocks, building a bussines strategy and its automatization by simple information technology techniques. In the following, there is a description of concept and implementation of business system for testing a trading strategy, which is based on historical market data analysis. The next part of this work is focused on the demonstration system and its expansion possibilities. Whole aplication is created by means of scripting language PHP and Javascript, markup language HTML, using the MySQL database system.
Testing of successfulness of technical analysis' trading and trending indicators
Točevová, Radka ; Veselá, Jitka (advisor) ; Fičura, Milan (referee)
The goal of this master's thesis is to evaluate the successfulness of the strategies' portfolio and of trading and trending indicators, which are parts of the portfolio, through this evaluation. The theoretical part concerns with the key principles of the foreign exchange market which the portfolio is created for. After that, the individual technical indicators, which are used in the analytical part of the thesis, are analyzed in detail. Then in the following part, the development process of automated trading systems in case of the genetic algorithms' application is defined. Individual generated trading systems are described in the next segment separately. Their descriptions are followed by evaluation of outcomes of testing on historical data and of robustness' tests. Afterwards, the correlations between individual strategies are mentioned. The thesis concludes by efficiency evaluation of strategies' portfolio via backtest results and paper testing.
Available Financial Sources of Enterprise and Their Evaluation in Trading in the Stock Markets
KASANDA, Jan
My thesis is dedicated to the evaluation of available financial sources of enterprise traded in the stock market. Three kinds of foreign shares are traded in the stock market using some instruments of technical analysis. The trading in the stock market took place in a period of three years (from 2013 to the end of the year 2015). The technical analysis is applied to the historical closing prices of individual stocks. The technical indicators are used to generate buying and selling signals. For trading with share I have chosen the indicators: RSI, Momen-tum and MACD and I have chosen shares of Apple Inc., Allianz and BMW Group. In the theoretical part of my bachelor thesis I describe and explain key words such as Capital market, shares, Joint-Stock company, government bond, tools of financial market and types of analysis. In this part I deal with the types of analysis, especially technical analysis and three chosen technical indicators. The main aim of my thesis is the comparison of the effectiveness of used methods and amount of generated buying and selling signals. These methods are being used to maximize profits. The evaluations of shares are compared with the evaluations of the investments of free sources into government bonds and to a term deposit. According to my results it is not possible to choose the best trading method, because there are many circumstances which is the choice influenced by. The worst indicator of the compared ones is MACD. With Relative strength index I have achieved only trading profit. Most buying and selling signals generated the indicator Momentum. If I should recommend you one of these indicators, I would recommend the indicator RSI.
