Design of a device for measuring the center of gravity height of road vehicles
Hanych, Jaroslav ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Vančura, Jan (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with problems connected with measuring vehicle centre of gravity height. The research part summarizes generally known methods of measuring vehicle centre of gravity and moments of inertia. Essential part of this thesis is the design of a device for measuring the centre of gravity height of a road vehicle on a principle of measuring a period of oscillation. The height position of the platform of the device is adjustable through hydraulic cylinders. A stress-strain analysis of the design was executed through a combination of analytical methods and a finite element method. The process of measurement was described and an equation for determination of centre of gravity height was deduced. Error of measurement was estimated based on the knowledge of partial errors of measured values.
Measurement of vehicle moments of inertia
Grác, David ; Hejtmánek, Petr (referee) ; Porteš, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis is concerned with selecting the appropriate method for determining the moment of inertia to the vertical, lateral and longitudinal axis through the centre of gravity of the vehicle. Using the special mechanical device, constructed on IAE was carried out repeated measurements of known mass properties in each axis. With the aid of obtained data was calculated measurement error. To compare the resulting values was created MBS model.
Student Formula Arrangement Design
Niesner, Martin ; Svída, David (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The rules and specifications of competition Formula Student are the main guidelines at frame design of students' formula. This diploma work discusses frame safety and structural requirements and also requirements on mounting of engine, single axles, rear-axle differential, engine intake and exhaust system, fuel tank, control elements, and so on. In the final parts of this diploma work analysis of maximum state of stress in material of on-load frame is made and total frame torsional rigidity is calculated. Total frame torsional rigidity is compared with those of Formula Ford and with other variants of Formula Student.
Comparing of the parameters for the determination of cardiac dyssynchrony from the ultra-high-frequency electrocardiogram
Jančová, Ivana ; Viščor,, Ivo (referee) ; Jurák, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis of high-frequency ECG, namely by parameters for the determination of cardiac asynchrony from the amplitude envelopes ultra-high-frequency ECG. In the theoretical part is described the conventional and high-frequency ECG, procedure of their scanning and parameters of the acquired record. Also is described the electrical conduction system of the heart and its blockade. This issue is followed by chapters about cardiac asynchrony and its treatments by biventricular pacemaker – resynchronization therapy. The chapter about resynchronization includes a description of the methods used for the indication for therapy based on conventional and high-frequency ECG. In the practical part are proposed new parameters for determining heart asynchrony from high-frequency ECG, programmed their detection in environment MATLAB and described realization of detection and obtained results. In the last part of thesis is described statistical evaluation of data and is decided about suitability of use the proposed parameters.
Center of Gravity Measurements of Motorcycles
Vaněček, Michal ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Panáček, Vladimír (advisor)
My diploma thesis deals with measuring the center of gravity (CG) the motorcycle. The first part is outlined with legislation and the types of motorcycle division. I mention the theoretical types of measuring the CG the motocycle there too. These methods are applied to the issue of motor vehicles. The chosen one way of measuring the center of gravity which is used for practical measurements of gravity the motocycle. The practical part included the weighing of the different types of motorcycles with a different occupancy. These values are then processed and the resulting CG are calculated for each motorcycle. The values of CG were compared by experiment with the program for the analysis of road accidents and reconnoitred the measured results with this program results. In the last chapter is the evaluation of individual CG motorcycle and the influence of changes in occupancy due to a motorcycle.
Design of Device for Vehicle Center of Gravity Height Measurement
Rektořík, Jiří ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
The objective of this diploma thesis is the design of a device that measures the vehicle’s centre of gravity height position. The first part defines individual methods of measurement using various measuring equipment. The next part deals with the definition of requirements for the device and the definition of the design. A stress-strain analysis was executed for selected components. This diploma thesis describes the preparation process of the vehicle and the device for the measurement. The next part is dedicated to the design of the measuring chain and to the evaluation of the results. The thesis concludes with a theoretic analysis of the measurement inaccuracy.
Device for measuring the centre of gravity height position of road vehicle
Kubica, Petr ; Čavoj, Ondřej (referee) ; Vančura, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals the with measurment of the centre of gravity height position of a road vehicle and its issues. The introduction of this thesis focuses on the determining of the position of the center of gravity and the moment of inertia of a road vehicle. The next part is about creationing of a construction plan and its verification. The thesis contains a sensitivity analysis of this device including its results. The end of the thesis informs about the executed measurment in a laboratory and about recommendations for next measurments.
Measurement of Inertia properties of bodies for the purpose of mathematical modeling of vehicle dynamics
Dvořák, Karel ; Laurinec, Marián (referee) ; Porteš, Petr (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to create a concept of methods that can be used for measurement of important mechanical inertia properties of bodies -- the coordinates of center of gravity and the the moment of inertia tensor, in case we don't have 3D model of these bodies. The thesis divides this problem into several sub-problems and suggests the solutions for each of them. Required equipment was created and measurement was carried out. At the end the measured values are compared with the teoretical ones and accuracy of this method is determined.
Measuring the height of the center of gravity of SUV's
Foldyna, Petr ; Mikulec, Roman (referee) ; Křižák, Michal (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of measuring the height of the center of gravity of SUV´s. The first part of thesis is devoted to the issue of center of gravity and the influence of the height of the center of gravity on driving stability. Furthermore, individual methods of measuring the height of the center of gravity in passenger cars are discussed. The analytic part of the thesis is devoted to experimental measurement of the height of the center of gravity of selected SUV´s at different vehicle load, by the method of tilting the vehicle on the axle. The results of the measurements showed that the height of the center of gravity for vehicles with a capacity for five people is in the range from 606 to 697 mm. The lowest value belongs to the vehicle Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, when loaded by the driver. The highest value was found for the vehicle Kia Sportage, when loaded by three passengers. The Landover Defender, which is vehicle, that has a capacity for nine people, was found to have a height of center of gravity ranging from 705 to 874 mm. The lowest value was found when loaded by the driver, the highest value when loaded by nine passengers. Only for the Nissan Qashqai was the growing dependence between the load increase and the height position of the vehicle's center of gravity confirmed. A similar trend was found for the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, Jeep Compass and Landover Defender. The determined values can be used in the analysis of traffic accidents of SUV’s.
Design of device for measurement of vehicle tensor of inertia
Lanči, Jaroslav ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to design a device allowing to measure the moments of inertia of a motor vehicle around several intersecting axes. Next, a three dimensional model of the proposed device was created in programme Pro/ENGINEER. Stress analysis of individual components was performed using the finite element method (FEM) in programme ANSYS.
