Swedish aircraft design in the Cold War period
Zúbek, Miroslav ; Bartoněk, Jaroslav (referee) ; Dubnický, Lukáš (advisor)
Swedish aircraft design is unique due to the conditions in which it had to be created. Sweden's neutrality during the Cold war was one of the main reasons why it was created, and why it is often overlooked when talking about aircraft design despite the innovations it managed to introduce. This bachelor's thesis focuses on the gradual development of the designs of Swedish origin during the Cold War. The technical requirements adapted to the Swedish defense concept are described in chapters for individual aircraft, together with the problems and solutions that the engineers had to deal with. At the same time, the work points out some specific elements of the Swedish design. The last chapters discuss the potential direction the Swedish aircraft design may take in the near future.
Demografické a socioekonomické aspekty stárnutí v České republice a Švédsku
Rymešová, Denisa
The diploma thesis focuses on the comparison of demographic and socioeconomic aspects influencing the aging of the population in the Czech Republic and Sweden. It compares countries as a whole and lower territorial units, formed by NUTS 2 cohesion regions. The aim of this work is to compare demographic and socio–economic factors affecting population aging in the Czech Republic and Sweden. Time series analysis, regression and comparative analysis methods are used to fulfill the goal. It uses secondary data from the Czech Statistical Office (CSO) and the Swedish Statistical Office (SCB) in the time series 2000–2020 and indicators of births, deaths, marriages, divorces, migration issues, economic structure, unemployment and educational structure. The results show that in the observed period, the senior component exceeded the child component, the age index and the average life expectancy are constantly growing. Total fertility rates do not ensure a simple reproduction of the population in the future, almost every second child is born out of wedlock and the overall growth in both countries is mainly due to migration. The population of the Czech Republic and Sweden is aging and this trend is likely to continue in the future.

Trajer, Jiří ; Burcin, Boris (advisor) ; Kučera, Tomáš (referee)
Analysis of the regional development of mortality in NUTS 3 regions in Czechia and Sweden during 1997-2011 Abstract The aim of this thesis is to analyze and describe the development of regional mortality in Czechia and Sweden from 1997 to 2011. Besides of total mortality of both countries and their regions we will focus on the development of regional mortality and regional differentiation of mortality from five most common causes of death for both sexes. These five groups include diseases of circulatory, respiratory and digestive system and neoplasms with external causes of morbidity and mortality. As a basic indicator from selected causes of death is used age-standardized mortality rate and in case of total mortality is also used life expectancy. In both countries the raise of life expectancy and decline of standardized mortality rates were observed during the monitored period. The decline of standardized mortality rates were observed in both countries for almost all causes of death with one exception. The exception was rise of the mortality from respiratory system diseases in Czechia. Keywords: mortality, regional analysis, causes of death, Czechia, Sweden, regional inequalities

Family economics in Sweden
Wdowyczynová, Lucie ; Mlčoch, Lubomír (advisor) ; Rečka, Lukáš (referee)
The Swedish form of the welfare state has a long history and is known especially for its generous social policy financed mainly from exceptionally high tax levies. At the beginning the Bachelor Thesis Family economics in Sweden shows the general relation between family and economics, and then it focuses on family policy in Sweden and puts it into the context of the development and the present form of the welfare state. It also explores the important sub-components of the Swedish system, which affect family policy and other family trends. The work among other things illustrates how high fertility combined with high rates of labour market participation and knowledge-based economy can be supported in Europe. At the same time, however, it stresses that the differences in social policy in various European countries are caused by many cultural, social and economic factors, and therefore their mutual comparison and unification is limited. Yet, while considering new reforms, we can at least learn from experience of other countries or take them as an example. This thesis also highlights the disadvantages of the Swedish model.
