Teacher's approach to socially disadvantaged pupils at primary school

The topic of the diploma thesis is the approach of a teacher to socially disadvantaged pupils (SDP) at the primary school. The theoretical part focuses on the social exclusion and its levels, the cooperation of the school and family of socially disadvantaged pupils, the working methods with SDP or the motivation to the teaching of these pupils.The practical part is based on the quantitative research through the questionnaire whose aim is to find out individual opinions of the educational staff at the primary school and carry out the comparison through the quantitative research.
Barriers to education for children from socially excluded localities from their parents point of view

Diploma thesis deals with pupils from socially excluded localities and their education. The theoretical part defines the term socially excluded locality and deals with distinctive features that influence the situation of people living here. The Roma minority, which is often associated with social exclusion, is also characterised, and unfortunately is still frequently represented in socially excluded localities. The main topic is a socially disadvantaged pupil, their needs and current educational opportunities are taken into account. Special attention is given to Roma children and pupils with regard to cultural and ethnic specifics. The practical part is processed in the form of 12 case studies describing individual families from socially excluded localities and their attitude to children's education. The main objective of the research was to identify barriers that influence the education of their children from the parents' point of view. Partial objectives focus on other circumstances that families may have to limit access to school in relation to their social situation. The influence of the League of Community Schools for inclusion of socially disadvantaged students

The thesis deals with the education of socially disadvantaged pupils, specifically pupils studying at three selected schools that are members of the "Liga komunitních škol"(The League of Community Schools), which focuses on community-based and inclusive education. The theoretical part analyzes the social deprivation and its impact on the education of pupils who come from families with low socioeconomic status. It also discusses disparities in education and inclusive education. The practical part is critical to assessing whether pupils studying at three selected schools receives a quality inclusive education, which they should help to overcome their handicaps to full-fledged integration into society.
