The research sample consisted of 8 social workers with the condition of providing social housing in the area. The obtained data were evaluated using the grounded theory method. From the results it was found that social housing is provided with slight differences depending on the specific region and the available resources for solving the housing situation. Self-motivation and attituted of families with children is key in providing support as well as combating the general lack of social housing. The importance of this work also lies in understanding the personal perspective of social workers on the support provided and the sources of support and barriers identified by them in the context of social housing. The results of this thesis can inspire other social workers working in the given topic, non-governmental non-profit organizations, public institutions or the results can also be benefical and educational material for the general public.

Location. Szpiegowo in the Polish capital of Warsaw is located in the south-eastern part of the city. The eastern side of Szpiegowo is lined with residential buildings. The western side of the building faces the communication networks leading to the city centre. The Mokotow district, where the Szpiegowo building is located, is known for its multifunctional space, which includes various types of buildings. Most of them are residential, but there are also administrative and commercial buildings. Materials of the existing building. The main structure of the building consists of vertical and horizontal reinforced concrete elements. The internal walls are filled with fired bricks. The windows and doors are mainly wooden, although some are aluminium. The ground floor is faced with grey marble and the final material of the facade is plaster and some aluminium. The preservation of Szpiegowo is essential. The conversion of Szpiegowo into residential building can contribute to the provision of dramatically needed affordable and social housing. Not only people of the lowest income but also middle-class currently struggle to afford living and finding apartment in Warsaw. To address this issue, the proposal is to create a mixed-income community, bringing together residents of different social groups in inclusive housing conditions. The diploma work deals with the design of a residential building in the town of Malenovice u Zlína, where a new residential complex is to be built on the site of the former Malenovice sawmill. The land is located in close proximity to the main road to Zlín. The work proposes a modular house system made of prefabricated CLT elements with social and community overlap. A system that allows rapid construction and creation of buildings with different configurations according to the given requirements not only in the territory of Malenovice. The design system includes small-scale flats with elements of variable furniture, which allows to reduce the cost of housing, which is responding to the current unaffordable housing, but maintaining human comfort. Šimková, Eliška ; Musálek, Filip (referee) ; Nový, Vítězslav (advisor)
The design of the urban and architectural study of the former handball field aims to serve as a potential solution to the issue of sustainable and affordable housing. The first part of the proposal focuses on the urban study of the former handball field in Kopřivnice. The area has transformed from a significant city locality into a parking lot over the past 20 years. The urban design responds to the adjacent Kopřivnička River and the proximity of the city center. The area thus becomes a gateway – into the city upstream along the Kopřivnička River, and out of the city toward nature. Among the aims of the proposal was to attract new residents to Kopřivnice, which led to the design of three buildings that reflect this need. The area includes a building with starter apartments, a women’s shelter for women and children who have been victims of domestic violence, and finally, a multifunctional building that supports the city’s economy while reflecting the needs of existing Kopřivnice residents. The second part of the proposal presents the architectural study of the women’s shelter. The concept and idea are based on reflections on in-depth interviews with social workers from various shelters. The building is designed to comply with legal regulations, the requirements of staff, and the safety of its residents. The design part of the urban and architectural study is based on insights gained from the theoretical and analytical parts.

Červinková, Kateřina ; Odvárka, Antonín (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The territory is located in the city of Brno -center , on the corner position Bratislavska streets and Stara. It consists of several parcels that are currently undeveloped , or the construction of a temporary nature on them. Part of the defined area is now used as a parking lot of the Police of the Czech Republic . From the historic center it divides traffic - a small city street circuit leading to fluctuate. In the vicinity of the area are mostly townhouses with shopping level , built between the 19th - 1st half . 20th century. On the street in Bratislava theater is Joy and Puppet Museum and on the street a few old buildings that are registered in the central register of cultural monuments of the country. The old and the Bratislava streets are typical of the gallery houses with courtyards previously served as business premises . Today, these small companies but totally overcrowded scale and most low companies in this area collapsed or are in a neglected state. The whole area lacks public greenery and foliage is the closest city to the hamlet of liberation, located behind the traffic circle . The concept is based on the position of parcels - on the corner . The idea was to create a peaceful place to live and space for relaxation and meetings. The proposal consists of four masses , to bind and penetrate each other. Each material has its own separate function . Low - on the corner - allows infantry input to a depth of plot and thus offers a view of the surrounding historic facade. Compositions containing residential buildings are raised on the ground floor and the entire floor becomes a public space offers the opportunity to stroll through the old streets of Bratislavská on the street greenery, which in this area is insufficient.

Tymoshenko, Anna ; Pospíšil, Zdeněk (referee) ; Boháč, Ivo (advisor)
The main idea of the project was to create a comfortable residential complex, in which there is no exact border between the nature and the city. Whole concept is based on creating a "green city", where people will feel comfortable not only to live, but to relax and spend their free time, with no urge to escape from modern concrete jungles. 5 houses, that are situated on a land, have east-west orientation, all apartments have either east, west or south orientation. The are designed to suit people from different age and social groups: small and big families and seniors. In every house there is a big social room on the 5th floor, together with a big terrace- for making different activities without having to leave a building. Important part of a concept are green roofs, space on which can be used either for placing solar panels or plants.
