Four Channel Active Antenna Switch for UHF Band Satellite Reception
Kubeš, Václav ; Povalač, Aleš (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor’s thesis is to design and implement a complex device known as an antenna switch, which allows receiving a high-frequency signal in the UHF band from satellites via one of five directional antennas at a given time. With a suitable choice of antennas, this device is to be an alternative to motorized directional antennas used for satellite signal reception. The device is able to determine the correct antenna switching order using satellite position data. It is also able to filter and amplify the selected high-frequency signal for further transmission via coaxial cable to the receiver. The switch is controlled by an ATmega328PB microcontroller, which ensures the control of the integrated switching element itself, simple current and temperature diagnostics, and bidirectional communication with the control computer using the UART protocol over the LIN bus physical layer. The whole device consists of an external unit, which is to be placed near the antennas and ensures the switching itself, and an internal unit placed inside the building, which ensures the power supply and the distribution of diplexed signals. The user can display diagnostic data and control the external unit using a program with a graphical interface.
Educational PocketQube Satellite
Vyvinutá družice a pozemní stanice využívají ke komunikaci rádiový modul RFM98W s modulací LoRa.
Compact Antenna System for Satellite Signals Reception in UHF Band
Possibilities of Using GPS when Analysing Road Accidents
Jokešová, Markéta ; Semela, Marek (referee) ; Panáček, Vladimír (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of using GPS when analysing road accidents. The history and structure of U.S. global positioning system, Russian GLONASS system and European Galileo system are described. GPS receivers are sorted out by the possibility of use. The thesis deals with the methods of refinement GPS and how the vehicles can be monitored using GPS. In the practical part of this diploma thesis measurements with several types of navigations were made. And a comparison of accuracy of measured data with the real situation where the car was found at the moment of measuring followed and how fast was gone.
GPS data usability in mobile robot navigation problem
Novák, Pavel ; Věchet, Stanislav (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
This work is focused on problems of the GPS/DGPS receiver precision used by mobile robot for navigation in outdoor environment. The first part deals with theoretical analysis of GPS, description of it´s functions, errors and their influence on measurements accuracy. Second part deals with practical measurements performed at two locations with different types of obstacles restricting the view to the sky and using the refining methods of measuring the DGPS or so-called differential GPS. The last part of study presents the measured results and its analysis.
Bearings for space
Vavřík, Petr ; Nečas, David (referee) ; Košťál, David (advisor)
Currently, space satellites in orbit are required to operate reliably for more than 10 years. This places high demands on the satellite's tribological systems, which must function properly in the hostile space environment for this period. This bachelor thesis deals with the description of suitable bearings and their lubrication for space applications. Lubrication regimes are described at the outset. Then, space factors affecting the proper operation of tribological systems are summarized. The largest part is devoted to the description of the most used bearings and lubricants. The thesis concludes with the design of suitable bearings and their lubrication for the satellite reaction wheel.
Mechanical design the rotary joint of satellite antenna
Šreibr, Vít ; Mazal, Pavel (referee) ; Paloušek, David (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is a mechanical design of the rotary joint of the satellite antenna. It is a partial solution of the project which is dealing with a development of new product for a commercial subject. The device enables horizontal and vertical movement of the satellite. The established aims are solved in the whole range. The basic structure is conceived as a weldment. The other parts are connected with the body by demountable joints. The choice of key points is supported by calculations and the design is documented by technical drawings. This thesis is suitable for readers with an intermediate technical knowledge.
The computational possibilities of Android devices for localization
Brychta, Josef ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Fujdiak, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with implementation of selected localization methods to Android devices. These methods were then measured and the results processed to optimization schemes.
Orientation Control of Satellite - Laboratory Experiment
Neužil, Ondřej ; Baran, Ondřej (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
This diploma thesis is about the basics of satellite systems, about their sorting, usage and technologies. An important part is the description of the principles controlling and stabilization of the small experimental CubeSat type satellites. The main point is the proposition and construction of the laboratory model of the CubeSat type satellite that should simulate the chosen methods of controlling and stabilization in laboratory conditions. The thesis describes the construction of the electronic parts of the model, the controlling software of the satellite’s processor and user software for easy controlling by PC.
