Theoretical part is focused on ERP, CRM, SCM systems and application software. Analytical part deals with investments of czech SME in software and ICT equipment. Practical part is dedicated to quantitative survey and evaluation of results.

Factors of competitiveness of flash sales

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the actual condition of a discounting portal Pepa.cz in the fields of marketing, customer relationship management, human resources and also some layout and measures to ensure the prosperity of the bussiness. In the theoretical part of this work the basic definitions are explored through description of the control areas. The practical part is devoted to the analysis of individual areas of management, where the results of the analysis are presented as proposals and measures, which lead to increase the competitiveness.

Business environment for SMEs: Competitive comparison of France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

This bachelor thesis is focused on the competitive comparison of business environment for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within 4 chosen countries, which are France, Germany, Italy and Spain. The main goal is to analyze the economic indicators and the overall business conditions in these countries, and to choose the most favorable in terms of doing business in. Theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to understanding of SMEs principles and the approach of the European Union towards these enterprises. The first practical part analyses the business environment of 4 chosen countries by using PEST analysis. And the second practical part is based on 4 external economic indicators, which are Taxation, Labor cost, Demand, and Ease of Doing Business. The analysis in this part is based on the statics method, which allows to compare each indicator separately, and to create the final ranking of these countries, according to the selected indicators. The result of the thesis shows that the most favorable country, in terms of doing business in, became Germany, which results from 2 analyses were significantly better for SMEs.

Barriers to entry in public procurement: Evidence from the Czech Republic

A core subject of this study is to examine the effect of potential barriers to entry on a variation in profit margin of public procurement suppliers in electricity and gas sector in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the thesis attempts to draw key determinants affecting the probability of SME to win a public contract. Findings have proven that Czech public procurement market works quite efficiently because the impact of barriers to entry on profit margin was not detected. Additionally, SMEs were not blocked by barriers to entry to compete for public tenders suggesting non- discriminatory practices of contracting authorities. Policy recommendation is to use tools promoting competitive environment such as electronic auctions, which in turn create a pressure on final prices and shrink profit margins. The success of SMEs in public tenders relies on institutional characteristics rather than standard procedural ones. Therefore a promotion of innovative tools such as specific legislative provision (e.g. set-asides) or workshops carried out for SMEs might represent effective small business support policy. Strenghtening European Commission's external actorness through internationalisation of SMEs: An institutional analysis of Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP), 2002-2009

European Union faced several external challenges in the beginning of the 21st century. Its enlargement to 24 member states led to a state of dissimilar and not well interconnected economies in need of a new model of external competitiveness. Finding the model and, more importantly, delivering it on community level, was a new task of the European Commission, especially after re-launch of the Lisbon strategy in 2005. Yet, there was another challenge for EU that was not so easy to address by the Commission: the relative weakening of EU's external economic action comparing to new increasingly assertive policies of other international players, especially BRICs. Was it possible for the Commission focus only on supporting EU competitiveness without any external action, as was expected by articles of the Treaty of Nice? As the thesis argues, indeed there was an external action of the Commission before the Lisbon treaty, through its public support of SME internationalization within the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP). Media image of the Ukrainian crisis in selected newspapers of the Czech and Slovak Republic

Bachelor thesis "Media image of the Ukrainian crisis in selected newspapers of the Czech and Slovak Republic" aims to analyze articles concerning the Ukrainian crisis in four national newspapers within the period from 23rd November 2013 to 21st February 2014. The first part of the paper is theoretical and describes the method and the terminology used by the author. It also briefly summarizes the historical context of the outbreak of Ukrainian crisis with regard to the Russian-Ukrainian relations after the Soviet collapse. The second part is analytical and contains a detailed analysis of selected articles, the analysis results and comparison of its particular aspects. Within the comparison, newspapers were compared at two levels - national (Czech Republic vs. Slovakia ) and political (right vs. left oriented newspapers). Work will also focus on the impact of geographical proximity of Slovakia and Ukraine on the higher frequency of reports on the subject of the crisis in the Slovak dailies in comparison with their Czech counterparts. Innovation in small and medium enterprises

This thesis provides insight into factors that influence the innovation activity of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Czech Republic. Its key part analyzes a survey conducted among over eleven hundred Czech SMEs. A model of determinants of innovations is constructed and estimated. Own R&D is identified as a key driver of innovations for the firms. Other important factors include investment into technology, improvement of quality of a product or service or presence on foreign markets. Barriers to innovations and external factors with negative impact as perceived by the firms do not prove to constitute a real inhibitor of innovative activities. Implementation methodology of open source ERP in SME

This paper deals with the implementation of open source ERP systems in the area of small and medium-sized enterprises. The main objective of this work is to define an open source ERP implementation methodology, suitable for small and medium enterprises. This objec-tive is fulfilled partially by defining of manifesto, as way of thinking about this area and analysis of current state of available implementation methodologies. Newly described met-hodology is then verified by a case study. The main contribution of this work is the defini-tion of implementation methodology for open source ERP systems in area of SME focusing on frequently occurring insufficiencies and leading to successful deployment of company IS.

Cloud computing in the sector of small and medium enterprises

This bachelor thesis focuses on the use of the cloud computing in the sector of small and medium enterprises in the Czech Republic. Theoretical part explores the basic terms, various divisions, and history relative to cloud computing. Also there are main information about virtualization. At the conclusion of the theoretical part there are summarized main advantages and disadvantages of using cloud computing. In the practical part there is analysed the use of cloud computing through a questionnaire survey. In this section there are also evaluated and graphically displayed partial results of the survey.
