Influence of DNS to kayak power Stroke
Davídek, Pavel ; Kobesová, Alena (advisor) ; Demeková, Júlia (referee)
The thesis deals with the possibility to influence the maximum power of kayaking stroke by the Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization approach. The most common injuries sustained during kayaking are affecting shoulders. The aim of this thesis was kinesiological analysis of kayaking movement. It shows patterns of shoulder muscles activity during the paddling cycle. Finally the thesis describes the Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization approach. Methods: Subjects were 20 flat water kayakers (mean age 21,85 +/- 2,37), which were randomized divided into two groups. Training of experimental group contained exercise according Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization approach. Specific exercise was chosen with DASH questionnaire. The same questionnaire was used at the end of the six weeks study to see the changes in the problems of the upper limb activity. The effect of the therapy was compared by maximum power of kayaking stroke, which was measured by paddling ergometer. Both groups were tested four times in 6 weeks. We followed also the actual effect of the therapy of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization by measuring maximum power before therapy and immediately after exercise. Results: Maximum power of the stroke increased of 6,3% (p = 0,032) in experimental group. We found the positive effect of the actual...
Comparison of performance tests results determined during kayak spiroergometry with achieved kayak paddling performance
Štěrba, Jan ; Bílý, Milan (advisor) ; Doktor, Martin (referee)
- 6 - Abstract Title: Comparison of performance tests results determined during kayak spiroergometry with achieved kayak paddling performance. Objectives: The aim of the study was to determine relationships between functional parameters values found during kayak spiroergometry and sport performance at 1000 meters distance, and how are these relationships going to change based on training period. Methods: To determine statistical dependence between sport performance at 1000 meters distance and choosen factors of sport performance, the correlation research was used - as a variable-dependent value the final result of sport performance at 1000 meters distance was used, as a variable-independent amounts functional parameters values found during kayak spiroergometry were used. To discover the statistical dependence methods of Pearson's correlation coefficient and regression analysis were used. Results: General level of kayak-athletes from testing file indicated by functional parameters values and demonstrated by kayak spiroergometry performance depends on kayak- athlete's level of sport performance at 1000 meters distance in prepared-training period only, when importance for general condition is emphasized. We did not discover the same phenomenon based on pre-racing period testing results. Sport performance at...
Craft's brand equity in CZ, focusing on canoeing
Šťastný, Šimon ; Janák, Vladimír (advisor) ; Voráček, Josef (referee)
Title: Craft's brand equity in CZ, focusing on flat water canoeing. Objectives: The objective of this dissertation is to find out what is the Craft's brand equity and to suggest how to improve it on the Czech market. That would be based on marketing research and supplementary interview. I will be using marketing research and supplementary interview. Methods: In this dissertation the method of electronic questioning was used. The questionnaires were sent by email address after first contact on Facebook. Facebook was also used for concretization of questions. The basic research sample was chosen from sporting population in Czech Republic and selective sample was limited by my Facebook contacts. The research was enriched by interviews. These interviews were made with experts and athletes from flat water canoeing. Results: The results of marketing research on the Craft's brand equity have shown that Craft has got quality and functional product, but the brand looses position on the market of functional sport clothing. The main issue is lack of associations with this brand. Moreover the research has shown that general awareness of marketing strategy is inadequate. Due to rapidly growing competition Craft is losing his its position on the market. I have also tried to propose some measures how to improve...

Mokrý, Michal ; Bílý, Milan (advisor) ; Süss, Vladimír (referee)
Thesis title: A description of significant differences in technical preparation of water slalom and canoe sprint in K1 category. Thesis objective: The objective of the thesis is to determine the main features typical of technical preparation of kayakers in Czech canoeing clubs and to describe possible differences in the preparation of sprint kayakers and water slalom kayakers. Methods of data processing: The work is based on mixed research. The racers and coaches were presented with a questionnaire concerning technical preparation. Collected output was analyzed using the methods of quantitative research and of analytical induction. Results: Several significant differences were detected between the technical preparation of sprint kayakers and water slalom racers. To develop basic kayaking strokes, water slalom racers in mostly younger age categories use other water sports, especially wild water, more frequently. In preparatory exercises sprint racers limit themselves to stroke sequencing. Water slalom racers use a wider range of preparatory exercises to develop basic kayaking stroke. In order to gain feedback, water slalom racers use videorecording analysis several times a month and that not only during technical preparation period. In sprint canoeing the videorecording analysis is used...
Comparative analysis of forward stroke on the kayak, wildwater kayak, speed kayak
Máder, Tomáš ; Kračmar, Bronislav (advisor) ; Süss, Vladimír (referee)
Title: The comparative analysis of forward stroke on the slalom kayak, wildwater kayak and speed kayak The Aim: Aim of this work is the comparative analysis of forward stroke on the kayak to slalom kayak, wildwater kayak and speed kayak. Methods: For comparison, we used electromyography measurements, we have synchronized with video. Results: The results of this work we show that most differences in the forward stroke, according to timing of entries we selected muscle activation between the speed and slalom kayak. Keywords: Electromyography, forward stroke, slalom, wildwater, speed canoeing

Pfoff, Michal ; Bílý, Milan (advisor) ; Harbichová, Ivana (referee)
Title: Temperament characteristics of competitors in flatwater racing Objectives: Goal of this work was to determine the temperament characteristic of competitors in flatwater racing and try to find a relationship between temperament and different race distance in watched population. Methods: Use was Eysenck's questionnaire of temperament (EPI) in research. Observe population was a group of flatwater racing competitors from czech army sports club Dukla Praha and USK Praha, competitors in national czech team. Results: The dominate type of temperament in the monitored group was sanguineosus with low degree of extroversion and the low degree of stability. Dependence between temperament and specialization for different distances was confirmed only for marathon competitors. For competitors group of sprint 200m didn't results significantly different from the observe average. In the marathon group was dominated to introverted behavior. The dominant temperament profile in marathon group was phlegmatic with a low level of introvesion and low level of stability. Key words: Temperament, flatwater racing, Eysenck's questionnaire of temperament (EPI), sport psychology.

Kolářová, Edita ; Bílý, Milan (advisor) ; Jindra, Matouš (referee)
Title of project: Temperament Of Czech And German Flat Water Canoeist. Aims: The aim of this thesis is to identify character traits (temperament) in Czech and German kayakers. Methods of work: To determine the results of quantitative research was used, in the form of a standardized questionnaire Eyseneckova temperament characteristics, which we translate German probands separately. The evaluation was performed by adding three (score N, E, L) of the five dimensions and the results brought into the graph, where the quadrants are marked with the temperament traits. Results: The most common type of German temperament is sanguine competitors, extrovert with low neuroticism score, so emotionally stable. The Czech competitors no single prevailing temperament type.
