Lokalizace na bázi Bluetooth
Machyňák, Augustin ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
The thesis deals with the development of a device localization system using ESP. The system uses signal strength information to estimate the distance and then uses multilateration techniques to estimate device positions. To obtain the relative positions of the receivers it also uses signal strength, making it very user friendly to setup and configure. The resulting positions are either processed on the ESP itself with simple visualization or it is possible to use an external server implementation to process them with historical data and a more suitable visualisation of the positions. However, the accuracy is not satisfactory and only suggests the use of map generating techniques for each specific environment using which to determine, what combinations of received signal strength values correspond to each position is a more appropriate method for localization.
RF WiFi network analyzer
Kvasničák, Dušan ; Zamazal, Michal (referee) ; Valach, Soběslav (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is the design and implementation of a WiFi network monitor analyzer in the 2.4 and 5 GHz radio frequency bands using a software radio. The work focuses on obtaining and analyzing data from these bands with the aim of extracting information about the state and movement of devices, their position in relation to the analyzer, and estimating the number of people moving in the monitored space.
Distance Estimation in Wireless Ad-hoc Network
Botta, Miroslav ; Mráz, Ľubomír (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
The work deals with processing of radio received signal strength in IEEE 802.15.4 which communicates in 2.4 GHz ISM band. The signal is processed by the three approximation methods. They are tested for their effectiveness for measuring in different radio environments. Furthermore, the work deals with calculation of the most efficient coefficients for distance calculating by radio transmission fucntions. It defines the issues of such solutions on practical examples. The work also deals with the experimental algorithm for implementing dynamic calibration of the coefficients. It describes the design, processing and verification of this system in practice.

Juračka, Jan ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
Theme of the thesis is research and possibility of using GPS system from localization in wireless sensor network. Paper deals with the accuracy and energy consumption of GPS localization. Thesis also solve using of localization in local anchor system. Theoretical part describes IEEE 802.15.4 standard, capability of used nodes and describe ways how to use RSSI value to resolve location
Comparison of methods for indoor localization
Povolný, Ondřej ; Rozum, Stanislav (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is in theoretical part focused on the ideas of the localization of people or objects, using the IoT technologies, namely ZigBee and Lora™. The possible methods of localization are mentioned, with the mention of parameters of the used technologies and the overview of existing modules that are obtainable on the market. The result of a practical part is design of PCBs, the basic testing of hardware and software and the analysis of the obtained data.
Room Occupancy Detection with IoT Sensors
Kolarčík, Tomáš ; Jeřábek, Kamil (referee) ; Pluskal, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this work was to create a module for home automation tools Home Assistant. The module is able to determine  which room is inhabited and estimate more accurate position of people inside the room. Known GPS location cannot be used for this purpose because it is inaccurate inside buildings and therefore one of the indoor location techniques needs to be used. Solution based on Bluetooth Low Energy wireless technology was chosen. The localization technique is the fingerprinting method, which is based on estimating the position according to the signal strength at any point in space, which are compared with a database of these points using machine learning. The system can be supplemented with motion sensors that ensure a quick response when entering the room. This system can be deployed within a house, apartment or small to medium-sized company to determine the position of people in the building and can serve as a very powerful element of home automation.
Wireless Sensor Network Simulation Model in J-Sim Tool
Vrzal, Tomáš ; Morávek, Patrik (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of wireless sensor networks and communication protocols. Is explained of what the network is composed, what standards are used and in what sectors are most often used. The main scope of work is to introduce with the localization algorithms using in WSN. Algorithms are clearly divided into groups according to the methods used. In work is describes the structure used simulation tools J-Sim, for creating a wireless sensor network. To create network will be then applied different localization algorithms, which must first be implemented in a simulator using Java code. All generated classes and the algorithms are detailed described in the work. Results from simulations are detailed and graphically displays for individual localization algorithms.
Localization in Wireless PAN
Polok, Zbyszek ; Šimek, Milan (referee) ; Hynčica, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the problem of localization in wireless sensor network. First, ZigBit 900 Modules equipped with chip for wireless communication (AT86RF212) are used to measure the signal strength in the area of Brno University of Technology. The recorded values are then processed using trilateration localization techniques and Euclidean propagation methods. After detecting negative effects on the calculation of the position sought, a filtering method for the calculated values is proposed. In addition, an algorithm determining a sufficient number of reference values for loss rate is also designed to locate all the positions sought. By virtue of these algorithms the trilateration localization method is optimized.

Chlad, Miloslav ; Novotný, Radovan (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
The intent of this master’s thesis is to look for the best solution of finding lost items of everyday use. Described solution is based on GPS for outdoor and Bluetooth Low Energy for indoor localization. User of this system will be able to find his/her lost items using smartphone application.
Analysis of wireless environment using the Ekahau system and the possibilities of cooperation with other systems
Tinka, Zdeněk ; Bartl, Milan (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
The work is divided into two parts. Firts of all deals with surveying and analysis of wireless environment. It contains familiar with analysator Ekahau Site Survey. Below are implementation of the map and then surveying of quality of networks. Finally describes the evaluation results and optimization of networks. The second part describes the localization of objects by AeroScout system using a wireless environment.
