Innovation of the laboratory exercises for course Embedded Systems
Pončák, Matej ; Macho, Tomáš (referee) ; Petyovský, Petr (advisor)
The constant market development of the embedded systems requires an adaptation to this fact. Raspberry Pi has released the Raspberry Pi Pico development board with a 32-bit microcontroller ARM Cortex-M0+, which has the potential to use the board as an innovation in teaching embedded systems. The thesis describes this board and its properties, the course Embedded Systems and the possibilities of its innovation, and then describes the proposed HW platform and demonstrates. The creation of new laboratory assignments is also part of this thesis.
Mobile Robot with Telepresence Control
Svědiroh, Stanislav ; Kopečný, Lukáš (referee) ; Žalud, Luděk (advisor)
This thesis deals with the proposal and implementation of a robotic platform for the purpose of visual telepresence. The aim of the work is to create a robotic platform remotely controlled by a virtual reality headset, being capable of moving on a flat surface and rotating the camera plaform in two degrees of freedom independently. This work provides a complete solution - both in terms of software and hardware.
Graphical user interface for embedded applications
Bránecký, Peter ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Petyovský, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor work deals with the design and implementation of a graphical user interface for the Raspberry Pi Pico Kit development board. This board is built around the Raspberry Pi Pico platform. Furthermore, the work deals with the processing of user input from keyboard and mouse via the USB interface, generation of image output for the VGA interface on the development board and usage of microSD card for loading and storing data.
Design of multipurpose generator of low- and high-frequency sub-bands
Caban, Dominik ; Brančík, Lubomír (referee) ; Šotner, Roman (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the generation of harmonic and non-harmonic waveforms in the low and high-frequency domains. The thesis aims to design and implement a portable multipurpose signal generator with a user interface powered by its own battery. The design focuses on the implementation of a function generator, a high-frequency generator, and a pulse generator with Gaussian characteristics within a single portable device. The thesis describes an introduction to signal generators, the selection of the individual components, the design procedure for each circuit, and their subsequent hardware implementation either within the development kit or the final product.
Speech generator for advanced embedded systems
Homzová, Eliška ; Macho, Tomáš (referee) ; Petyovský, Petr (advisor)
The aim of the master thesis is to design and implement a software for voice output generation, which will form a software library for the selected embedded system. The work includes a description of existing principles of voice output generation and an analysis of the Atari 520ST Speech Synthesizer V2.0 program. The Raspberry Pi Pico development board was selected as a suitable embedded system.
Using the library for data serialization in embedded system
Slavov, Jan ; Burian, František (referee) ; Petyovský, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of using serialization libraries for communication with embedded systems. Data serialization is a process that converts data objects organized into complex data structures into a stream of bytes. Data serialized in this way can be easily transferred between devices or stored. At the same time, serialization enables the platform to transfer data in a programing language-neutral manner. Also addresses compatibility when updating messages. This work will primarily deal with binary serialization, as it is less time-consuming and the resulting messages are smaller in size. This work will describe work with the following libraries for data serialization: Flatbuffer, Protocol Buffer, Cap'n Proto. These libraries will then be compared with each other and one library will be selected from the results. A demonstration task is designed for this library. It will be implemented in two versions. The first version will use the selected library and the second will use my own method of data serialization. Both approaches will be compared with each other at the end of this thesis.
