Remote data acquisition with the help of GSM modems based on Open AT platform
Otoupalík, Pavel ; Koutný, Martin (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with remote data acquisition with the assistance of GSM modems based on Open AT platform. The result of thesis is the realized module which servers as a converter temperature to frequency. This module is connected with Wavecom Fastrack M1306B programmable GSM/GPRS modem. They are intended for temperature measurement from 0 to 40 °C together. With the assistance Open AT platform and C programming language were created two applications. The first application sends data as temperature, date and time on remote FTP server via GSM network as GPRS data. The results of measurement are displayed on website in form of the table and graph. The second application sends a temperature measurement data via SMS message as reply to SMS message.
Module for The Smart Home
Vančo, Erik ; Novotný, Radovan (referee) ; Levek, Vladimír (advisor)
The presented thesis deals with the design of the product for intelligent control system for GILD. The first part of the diploma thesis contains a brief summary of the intelligent control system. The thesis is designed schematic diagram of the product, it is also designed printed circuit board according to the product requirements. An integral part of the diploma thesis is the design and implementation of the service algorithm for the product.
Algortihm Optimization Using SIMD Instructions
Sedláček, Marek ; Rydlo, Štěpán (referee) ; Orság, Filip (advisor)
This thesis talks about techniques which can be used to optimize run time of algorithms. For a demonstration of these techniques algorithms from different fields were chosen, namely particle swarm optimization, circle drawing algorithm and image (matrix) rotation algorithm. These algorithms were written in Python 3, C language and assembly language using SIMD instructions. While writing these codes emphases was placed on code efficiency. These practices were in this thesis described and compared, same as the impact on algorithm optimization. Performed tests upheld expected potential of SIMD technology for optimization, but also that this approach cannot be used in all cases. In case of circle drawing the SIMD approach achieved more than ten times better speeds than the serial implementation in C and more than one thousand times better speed than Python 3 implementation. In case of particle swarm optimization the result was opposite -- serial C implementation achieved a better speed than SIMD implementation.
Control of the A2000 device via WEB
Łabudek, Daniel ; Kozák, Tomáš (referee) ; Zezulka, František (advisor)
The work is solving the design and implementation of application for presentation measured data and control of A2000 device trought web interface. For connecting to internet is used a module LanReach by company Connectone. Measured values are displayed on the website or send via e-mail messages and saved on FTP server.
Present-day Programming Method of Microcontroller
Medla, Eduard ; Matyáš, Pavel (referee) ; Zuth, Daniel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dedicated to modern methods of programming microcontrollers. In this work are examined some programming languages, various programming environments and graphic editors. In every methods of programming are explained their advantages and disadvantages. Here are two examined methods of loading program to microcontroller, so called flashing. Choosed method is programming language C, which was used to programme two-state regulator with hysteresis in environment AVR Studio 6.2.
Application of NB-IoT technology
Cagáň, Juraj ; Věchet, Stanislav (referee) ; Krejsa, Jiří (advisor)
The initial chapters of master’s thesis focus on NB-IoT technology and its alternatives within the field of Low-Power Wide-Area (LPWA) networks. The research is further enhanced by comparing various commercial IoT platforms, protocols, and wireless networks, that are intended for local communication between sensors and IoT devices. The subsequent section defines the goals of this project and presents the approach taken towards examining the given issue. Based on the research findings, the main parts of the technological demonstrator are outlined in greater detail. The practical section elucidates the selection of appropriate microcontrollers and sensor nodes, while also covers the design of a customized printed circuit board. Additionally, it describes the control algorithm at a higher level of abstraction. The thesis includes the design of communication for collecting sensory data through a commercial cloud platform, as well as the development of a simple user interface. Finally, the thesis concludes with practical testing of NB-IoT network parameters, followed by the implementation of a demonstrative application on a real system.
