Framework for Development and Operation of Cloud Services
Hamran, Peter ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
Game Portal in Cloud
Rozsypálek, Václav ; Maliulin, Valerii (referee) ; Škoda, Petr (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and implementation of gaming portal in the cloud for one of the providers of Platform as a Service (PaaS). The main part of this work is the selection of appropriate technologies and their use in the design and implementation of gaming portal. The conclusion is written based on the results of testing load and scalability.

Cost analysis of the platform as a service solutions for a model company.
Kumhera, Lukáš ; Matuštík, Ondřej (advisor) ; Vencovský, Filip (referee)
The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis is focused on general characteristics of cloud computing. It includes introduction into characteristics of cloud deployment, payment and distribution models. Furthermore, this section clarify the role of participants, security and advantages and disadvantages. Particular emphasis is aimed on the distribution model platform as a service and its providers. This knowledge is then used in the practical part, which is also focused on a platform as a service. Theoretical benefit of this part is to establish a structured, coherent and comprehensive insight into cloud computing. The practical part consists of an analysis comparing the investment and operating costs of custom and cloud solutions for model company. The first section of the analysis is defining the company's own infrastructure and solutions. The other section clearly visualizes investment and operating costs of such infrastructure. These costs are then compared with equivalent solutions using cloud technology and put into context with the advantages and disadvantages of these technologies.
Categorization of Cloud Computing Services
Morávek, Jan ; Karkošková, Soňa (advisor) ; Feuerlicht, Jiří (referee)
The thesis is focused on the introduction to issue of cloud computing and cloud computing services. The main objective is to categorization of services in accordance to several parameters, which tends as crucial factors of choosing cloud computing services. The conclusion is achieved by analyzing various cloud computing services and subsequent synthesis of the most important parameters. The results of this thesis are the definitions of relevant categories common for the distributed models of service. According to these a potential consumer may choose from provided cloud computing services. Individual categories are divided by their technological or organizational characteristics. The categories are further defined from the infrastructure-as-a-service model view. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. While the theoretical part describes basic terminology, characteristics and division of models, the practical part is defined by three sections. The first section contains the definitions of the most important categories with given parameters of distribution models. In the second section, categories from the infrastructure-as-a-service view are defined. In the last section, an analysis of globally accessible services focused on the infrastructure-as-a-service is provided.
