Design of PET bottle recyclation device for creation of 3D printing filament
Huplík, Ondřej ; Kolomý, Štěpán (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The rise in popularity of 3D printing and the increasing amount of plastic waste are putting an emphasis on finding new sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions. This thesis addresses the issue of recycling plastic materials and how PET plastic can be used in 3D printing. The theoretical part describes the current possibilities of plastic recycling. The practical part focuses on the design of a device that accepts a PET bottle strip and converts it into filament by bringing it above the glass transition temperature. The device is designed with cost and compactness in mind. The device can be further improved and adapted for different types of plastic materials.
FROM THE END
Krausová, Radana ; Čapek, Jan (referee) ; Tobola, Ondřej (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on designing a cover for a multisensor fire alarm. The project originated in collaboration with the company LITES, which specified the requirements for the alarm cover. The main objective is to create a product suitable for various interior types and capable of integration with other end elements in the space. The design is conceived for installing the alarm either directly on the ceiling or for recessing it into the ceiling. Manufacturers and sellers of these devices are increasingly recognizing the importance of visual communication in the user interface of fire alarms. If the end element is too conspicuous or detracts from the overall impression of the room, it can evoke considerable aversion from the user. The work is based on simple geometric shapes such as cubes, spheres, and cylinders, and their subsequent perforation. This decision stemmed from the effort to streamline the shape of the cover from unnecessary elements. For the alarm design, I chose the shape of a cylinder, which best meets the requirements for installing the alarm and its function in the space. In my opinion, it is important to perceive the alarm as an accessory in the space, not just as a technical element. This idea significantly changes the approach to the product and therefore also the approach to its design.
Waste horizon
Ochotná, Barbora ; Rypl Žabčíková, Ada (referee) ; Kristek, Jan (advisor)
The city is a place of accumulation, production and reproduction of production resources and consumption of goods, but waste typically accumulates outside it. It falls out of our horizon physically and mentally. The waste we produce changes the landscape and transforms the processes on earth without most of us visiting the "places of transformation". The project works with the idea of redirecting the final phase of the production chain back to the place of consumption by producing elements of public space from municipal waste. The presentation of waste leads to an awareness of its amount and degree of consumption. At the same time, waste becomes something much more ambivalent, possibly useful or even beautiful.
Design of manufacturing technology for plastic cogwheel
Vyhnanovský, Jaroslav ; Kebrle, Ondřej (referee) ; Kandus, Bohumil (advisor)
This project has been developed within the master study of Engineering Technology and Industrial Management a design of manufacturing technology for plastic cogwheel is introduced. The cogwheel will be produced by plastic injection moulding. POM material with a trade name Delrin 100 NC010 from DuPont Company will be used. An injection mould is a tool for producing a plastic cogwheel using injection moulding technology. Production will take place on the machine Allrounder 420 C Golden Edition 1000-290 from Arburg German Company headquartered in Loßburg, where the seat of parent company is situated.
Robust wheeled robotic chassis
Jirges, Radek ; Chalupa, Jan (referee) ; Bastl, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of the proposal of mobile wheeled robotic chassis. In the introductory theoretical part gives an overview of the division of mobile chassis inclu-ding representatives of each group. In the begining of the practical part describes se-lection of suitable components for the chassis from drivetrain to controlling electronics. Constructional part of this thesis at first deal with selection of suitable material for each part of chassis and than follows construction of these components including decsription of used constructional solutions for each issue. Result of this thesis is robust wheeled chassis fitted with drivetrain and basic electronics.
Reinforced concrete structure of the cooling tower
Vostal, Lukáš ; Švaříčková, Ivana (referee) ; Šulák, Pavel (advisor)
The content of the bachelor thesis is structural analysis of cooling tower fundamental construction. Modeling of the computational model and the calculation of internal forces of cooling tower fundamental construction in Scia Engineer. The reinforced concrete parts of the structure are assessed at the ultimate limit state and the subsoil is assessed at serviceability limit state. Part of the thesis is also the desing of the reinforcement of the foundation structure and processing of the drawings.
Technical viscous curve for injection molding
Hejkalová, Anna ; Svoboda, Jan (referee) ; Kandus, Bohumil (advisor)
Injection molding is highly dependent on flow qualities of plastics. The bachelor thesis compares the conventional measurement of their rheological attributes with the method of injection molding to the technical viscous curve. This method enables to determine the optimum injection rate at which injection resistance does not allow significant improvement of the melt’s flow attributes, on the contrary increases the energy consumption of the process. At the same time, the thesis tries to prove the advantage of this method.
Plastic spur gears
Jordán, Jakub ; Dvořáček, Jiří (referee) ; Venclík, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor work deals with describe to problems plastic gears and give actual state of knowledges in this section. The work deals with material, constuction and calculation plastic gears. Contains most frequent gear failure this gears and developments apply in mechanical engineering.
Design of manufacturing technology for plastic plug
Kočí, Ivan ; Žák, Ladislav (referee) ; Kandus, Bohumil (advisor)
This graduation theses analyse a concept of plastic plug production using the technology of injecting plastic into the form. There is performed a design of the technologic process with necessary calculations included here. Besides that the analysis is also focused on construction of the injection form. For the solution the 3D CAD system by SolidWorks and Hasco, Meusburger, Synventive normals were used. The graduation theses is finally valorized by technological-economic summary.
Assessment of three types of heat exchangers
Hlavinková, Valérie ; Toman, Filip (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to assess selected three types of heat exchangers designed for emergency cooling. The theoretical part of this thesis consists of a research containing an overview of exchangers. It includes a description of the construction of exchangers, characte-ristics in terms of heat transfer and an indication of the areas of its use. The practical part deals with the thermal and hydraulic design of two tube heat exchangers and a plate heat exchanger. Finally, the evaluation of the designed exchangers is performed.
