Mapping of heritage trees in the selected locality
HLUBOCKÁ, Denisa
The main aim of this bechelor's thesis is to map and desctribe the memorial trees in my chosen locations in Tábor district, to measure them (if possible) and to evaluate tzhe state of health overal. It goes on to equate motives for the preservation of memorial trees in the past, and especially in the present. I divided the care itself into its meaning at work, and further into abiotic and biotic factors. Last but not least, there is a reference to the principles of care and the cost of it. I also focused on the promotion of protection of memorial trees by the state - subsidy pro-grams etc. The District of Tábor, which I chose for my bachelor thesis, is located in the northern part of the South Bohemia Region. The district is bordered by the districts of Písek, Jindřichův Hradec and České Budejovice. Next, Tábor district adjoins Benešov district and a little with Příbram district in the Central Bohemian region and Pelhřimov district in the Highlands. This Bachelor thesis contains a description of the memorial trees and their mapping.
Breeding of Martens (Mustelidae) in zoos
TOMŠOVICOVÁ, Tereza
The aim of the study was to evaluate the breeding of martens in the Czech Republic. In this thesis the breeding in the Czech Republic and in Europe is monitored. In my work, I monitor the period between 1990-2021. Data on the Czech Republic were taken mainly from the yearbooks of Czech and Slovak zoological gardens. The data on breeding in Europe were drawn from the Species 360 database (Zoological Information Managament System). There are 14 species of martens in the Czech Republic. One of the most successful zoos was Chomutov zoo, which managed to breed a total of 47 Siberian weasel (Mustela sibrica). Another success story for Czech zoos is the breeding of the small otter, where a total of 79 cubs were bred between 1990 and 2021.
The use of headstarting in turtle conservation
PRŮCHOVÁ, Daniela
The bachelor thesis entitled The use of headstarting in turtle conservation was designed as a research thesis. The thesis is divided into five parts, which explain the issue of turtle endangerment and how this important and widespread group of nearly extinct and recent reptiles can be protected. The aim of the thesis is to explain the concept of headstarting, to identify the reasons for the threat to turtles and to evaluate whether and to what extent headstarting helps in the conservation of turtles. The first part communicates basic important information about turtles, both the biological classification and the important role of these reptiles in ecosystems. The second part details the reasons why all three groups of turtles - terrestrial, semi-aquatic, marine - are threatened, which is why headstarting has come into use for turtles. The third part of the thesis addresses reproduction in turtles, again for all groups, because of differences in reproduction in each group. The fourth part of the thesis discusses general information about headstarting, what headstarting options exist, and what criticisms there are towards headstarting based on the resources already available. The last important part of this thesis focuses on selected studies and research. The thesis includes research on selected species from each group of turtles to better evaluate and determine which groups headstarting helps, which groups it does not help, or if it affects the survival of a particular species of turtle.
The protection of small village Světnov against rural zone water
Humlíček, Aleš ; Novotný, Jaroslav (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to propose appropriate flood protection measures in the small village Světnov, calculate the critical flood of guideline for very small basin and insert the data into the program HEC-RAS 4.1.0, where they will be further treated in order to find the most appropriate and effective solutions. As flood control measures will be designed two dry polders east of the village. Dikes should be designed so to be able to accommodate 100-year flood, which will be calculated according of guideline for very small basin. Of the materials community, we know that we need to convert flood into the existing pipeline, which is able to accommodate 1 m3/s. The thesis will design solutions dams, sewage channels and function objects in the program AutoCAD 2008.
Research and development of progressive protective equipments for horizontal construction using waste materials
Hodná, Jana ; Bydžovský, Jiří (referee) ; Ďurica,, Tibor (referee) ; Dohnálek,, Pavel (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
Large amount of different types of industrial wastes are still not re-use as secondary raw materials in industry. The work deals with finding a new way how to use secondary raw materials, especially the possibilities of using recycled glass from different sources as a fillers in the polymer protective materials development for horizontal structures. The main task of this work is to develop a material with the desired physic - mechanical properties and further verifying the influence of particle shape on their chemical resistance. Result of this work will find advanced protective materials using secondary raw materials as alternatives to be in terms of economic and ecological efficiency replacement for conventional products.
Line protection against overload and short circuit
Konšel, Ladislav ; Vaněk, Jaromír (referee) ; Valenta, Jiří (advisor)
This work includes a theoretical treatise on the operation of electrical wiring for the overload and short circuit. This is mainly on thermal effects of over current and their influence on the properties of conductors and insulation. Work Includes links to determine the load current, depending on the properties of leadership and its surroundings. It also deals with the protection of conductors against overload and short circuit. The work includes measurements process of warming wires. Practical project of proposal circuit is created using SICHR. The project includes proposals of conductor’s sizes and safety components for both residential building and individual flats.
Materials for Production of Chords for Musical Instruments
Krhut, Štěpán ; Němec, Karel (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
My bachelor’s work is about materials used for making the musical strings and its protection against its wear off. The introduction deals with evolution and history of the musical strings and the next chapters explain physical basics of the vibrations and how to make the musical string. There are also highlighted and many times mentioned guitar strings in my work due to the string manufacturers are made to develop and implement various high level demands into the strings because of the many various guitar playing techniques.
Electrical installations in apartment building
Novotný, Jan ; Formánek, Marian (referee) ; Doležalová, Jana (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with electrical wiring in apartment building. The aim is to describe the types of distribution networks, implementation possibilities of service lines, describe the individual parts of the wiring in the building and the principles of their implementation. Further describe basic electrical materials and to explain the design of artificial lighting. In the practical part the information applied to a particular apartment building, together with the calculation of the estimated annual energy consumption of flats. For the apartment building project is created in the form of engineering report and drawings.
RF power meter
Hlaváč, Štěpán ; Jedlička,, Petr (referee) ; Drexler, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis describes various principles of measurement of electromagnetic waves in a free space and on a line. Used sensors and their real parameters are given for every method. The analysis of protections of high-frequency inputs of measuring instruments is done here and the most suitable method and protections of input for realization are chosen. The analysis of design of secondary protection of high-frequency input is done in this project. The protection of input is realized and measured. The suitable method of measurement is chosen as well as the sensor for measurement of power. The block diagram and circuit diagram of the meter of power are designed. According to designed conception the measuring instrument for measurement of power is realized and its single qualities are measured during the realization. In the final part its precision is measured and the evaluation of results is done.
Secure Network Based on Virtual Next-Generation Firewall
Varmus, Pavol ; Burda, Karel (referee) ; Malina, Lukáš (advisor)
The bachelors thesis aims to study the issue of security of the networks that use firewalls. The next goal is to evaluate the characteristics of a different types of firewalls and to summarize its results. The other object is to design a small or medium sized network with description of best practice. The main objective of the thesis is to design a lecture task for students to test with a step-by-step solution. This task is for students to undertand the importance of firewalls as a network protection service tools and to try out different types of filters for maintainin network security. The task ends with a practical stress test made by a network attack in order to see its resistance to the attack.
