Weekly lesson plan on the theme: Discovering treasures of our nature
TROJÁKOVÁ, Alena
The bachelor thesis's intended purpose was to create an environmental lesson plan. In the theoretical part, there was a described theoretical basis from which the lesson plan came out. This section defined environmental education, its goals, methods, and principles. There was devoted space to its application in kindergarten, the importance of the school garden, and the connection between environmental education and the curriculum for preschool education. Last but not least experience learning, game, and flow learning have been described. The practical part includes an assembled lesson plan, daily evaluation, and final evaluation with children. In the plan were environmental activities, which developed environmental sensivity and created a positive attitude toward nature. In the end, it was found that the most successful aktivity was the one carried out directly in the forest, namely the building of a village for gnomes. The least liked activity was walking to the forest, which was too long in their words. Another unliked activity was earthworm touching, but it was voluntary. Most children gave up on the activity and those who tried it found it unpleasant.
Pupils' relationship to nature at the primary school level
ŤUKOVÁ, Adéla
The thesis focuses on finding out children's relationship with nature in primary school. The theoretical part describes the basic key concepts, the importance of nature for children's development, the causes and consequences of alienating children from nature and the influence of family and school background. Furthermore, the work focuses on outdoor teaching and its forms as well as the methods a teacher can use in teaching. This relationship is ascertained on the basis of a questionnaire created by psychologist and Dr. Jan Krajhanzl with a collective of authors. The practical part includes records from the questionnaire survey, which targeted fourth and fifth graders. Questions in the questionnaire are focused on pupils' experiences of nature, e.g. "What do you imagine when you say nature?" "Have you ever plucked an apple from a tree?" etc. Finally, the author compares the results of this study with previous surveys.
Teaching science outdoors
ŠALANDOVÁ, Michaela
The aim of the thesis is to suggest possible educational programmes on the topic of "Meadow ecosystem", within the framework of primary school Science curriculum for 4th grade learners. The educational programmes are suggested both for outdoor and indoor learning. The thesis provides an awareness about outdoor teaching and offers some methodically developed units, including several worksheets. Both programmes were verified with 4th grade classes at ZŠ Třešť, in a normal way inside the classroom and outside as well. Modern technologies such as mobile phones and tablets were included into the teaching methods. The level of success was measured by pre-test and post-test system. These tests were realized a week before and a week after the learning block. The results show that learning in outdoor environment can be more effective than learning inside the classroom.
In the Forrest
Pucharová Kramářová, Vendula ; Dub, Petr (referee) ; Lahoda, Tomáš (advisor)
My work began with taking photos in the forest at night; this work was very important to me because of the mysterious feeling. My paintings are stylized more than realistic. I'm captivated by untidy nature, with fallen trees and decaying stumps. Oil is my medium- some places are detailed while others are expressive.

The theme of the design is to create a main entrance building to the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the Palacky University, which is situated between the city and landscape. Seasons, weather, light and other factors are determining elements for the work. The result of understanding and combining these principles are outdoor structures designed to accomodate groups or individuals overnight. The objects should serve as a platform for creating a community that will further develop these principles autonomously. The aim is to present the positives of sleeping outside, delimit against the trend of unsustainable growth and to provide an example of how to deal with this tendency through the perception of nature.
Life in the isolation
Jankovichová, Ludmila ; Fabián, Ondřej (referee) ; Kristek, Jan (advisor)
The answer to what Zaježová is, can be simple. Zaježová are so called „lazy“. Zaježová is perceived by the outside world - society - primarily as an alternative community of people living in coexistence with nature, and “Zaježová” presents itself “in this way”. Personally, I think that Zaježová is defined mainly by the strong individualities of people who are able to say about themselves and present that they live in a community. Last but not least, Zaježová is a place where I spent a large part of my childhood, because my parents belonged to these strong individuals and decided to live life “alone”. My work tries to capture what Zaježová is through various media, including architecture. The output is a set of atypical tourist maps and a proposal to transform the former fire station into a gallery.
