PERIPETY OF MUNICIPAL POLICY IN ČESKÉ BUDĚJOVICE WITH AN EMPHASIS ON ELECTIONS TO THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL IN OCTOBER 2018

The thesis deals with municipal policy in České Budějovice. The main goal is to process the results of individual elections. Emphasis will be put on the comparison of election programs of candidate political entities. There will be a more detailed examination, especially the elections in the years of 2014 and 2018, due to the availability of resources, mainly through the use of social networks. Previous elections can be processed from the sources of the Czech Statistical Office, where the results are available. The work focuses on the vicissitudes that accompany municipal policy in the regional city, especially the events associated with individual leaders, which led to changes in the municipal council and affected the political scene in České Budějovice.

The thesis deals with municipal policy in Strakonice. The main goal is to compare the results of elections at years 2018 and 2019. In the theoretical part, there will be defined terms as public administration, municipal elections, political marketing and political market. After that, in the practical part, an analysis and comparison of election campaigns of candidate political entities will be performed, because due to the restriction of equal conditions of political competition, the 2018 elections were canceled by a court decision. For this reason, the basis of the work is an analysis of the means of promotion used by all candidate parties. Since the results of the municipal elections most influence the everyday life of citizenship, the conclusion of the diploma thesis is a questionnaire survey, which forms an idea of the relationship of the electorate. At the end of the work, these data will be analyzed and research questions will also be answered.
Coalitions of Independent Candidates in Elections to City Councils in the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis Coalitions of Independent Candidates in Elections to City Councils in the Czech Republic deals with terms of candidacy Coalitions of Independent Candidates in elections to city councils in Czech cities and municipalities. First of all, the bachelor thesis compares conditions for candidacy of independent candidates in the Czech Republic and neighboring countries. The analysis is focused on comparison of the presence of Coalitions of Independent Candidates in Czech cities of different size. The focus is mainly on local elections 2014. Successful Coalitions of Independent Candidates has been described in details. The aim is to refer to disadvantages suffered by Coalitions of Independent Candidates in larger cities. The disadvantage is, that Coalitions of Independent Candidates have to produce petition with 7 % signatures of voters from the city, where they want to candidate. Despite this disadvantage is majority of Czech councilors elected from the Coalitions of Independent Candidates.

The way men and women into municipal politics of Kutna Hora. This work focuses on the motivation and the reasons why men and women to enter municipal politics a medium-sized cities such as Kutna Hora. I put emphasis on issues of participation in the political representation of both sexes. What are the obstacles to municipal politicians to meet at the entrance to the policies and the active participation in political office. I introduced myself to municipal politics in the Czech Republic looks like and what powers and responsibilities councilors city. In the empirical part, I introduced our own research and put a short excursion into the history of Kutna Hora. Obtained through interviews with municipal politicians and politicians were analyzed through three levels of coding. I started from the thesis of Marcela Adamusová, which dealt with master suppression techniques techniques and compared my results with her. Title Ethical Dilemmas in the Process of Selling the City's Housing Stock - a Systematic Analysis from the Perspective of Christian Social Ethics Abstract The aim of this work is to describe and analyse ethical dilemmas in decision-making in the management of the city and in one of the important segments of municipal politics - in the field of sales of the city's property to private owners. The focus of the thesis is to reflect on the ethical dilemmas that arise in the process of selling the city's property. The ethical reflection will be made from the perspective of theological ethics and Catholic social teaching. Ethical criteria for morally responsible political behaviour will be defined in the thesis in connection with selected principles of social teaching of the Church. Further, the conditions for the sale of the city's housing stock will be formulated, which would be in accordance with the principle of general good as the basic principle of Christian ethics implemented in municipal political practice so as to benefit the city management as an organizational unit and its citizens, the life of individuals and the city as a whole. The Civil Elites at the Local Level: A Case Study of Dolní Lhota

The diploma thesis studies specific features of the local politics in the Czech Republic. The focal point of this case study is the village Dolni Lhota and local elections in 2014, during which a change of the local political elites has occurred. The main aim of this thesis is to understand the factors having led to the victory of a new local representatives and to ascertain whether the citizens are satisfied with chosen political elites so far. The content is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter there is paid close attention to local democracy, local administration and to the introduction of Dolní Lhota. In the second chapter there are interpreted the results of the questionnaire survey, moreover it provides the reader with the analysis of interviews with the executive representatives elected in 2014. Finally, in the third chapter the research questions are evaluated.

Domažlice in the times of Petr Hana

This master thesis deals with history of the city Domažlice in the times of Petr Hana. It means from 1861 to 1905 when he permanently resided there. The thesis is divided into two chapters. The first one is devoted to the period up to 1889 when Petr Hana became a burgomaster. The second one is devoted to the period when he became a mayor. Both parts deal with the political, economic, cultural and social events and point to connection with activities of Petr Hana. It shows importance of this man in their connection with a development of the city and his share on events which took place in the defined period. Specifically in both chapters, I examine elecetions, a governance and city management, unions and their activities, a development of education, an economy and an industry, city institutions and different projects. I try to reveal the character of this period from gathered information. The main sources are, in addition to archival resources available in the Archival of Muzeum of Chodsko and the State Regional Archive in Domažlice, period copies of the local newspaper "Posel od Čerchova" and "Domažlické listy" which enable to capture the atmosphere of the period in this thesis the best.
