The Style of Arnošt Goldflam's Plays

This thesis presents Arnošt Goldflam as playwright with a peculiar position in the Czech culture. It summarizes basic knowledge about nature and style of dramatic texts and, on the basic of this knowledge, deals with stylistic and linguistic analysis of the part of the author's works which are original dramatic texts. It's based on the corpus of twelve games, that represent this kind of his creative work from the 80's until recently. The objective of the thesis is to determine the basic characteristics and language instruments involved in the structure and meaning of each game. Based on the analysis of instruments stylish construction of various levels and areas of language it defines the most significant common features stylish of all included texts and also author's progression in the use of language and style formation. Goldflam's theater work is characterized not only by choosing subjects, but also in the way of their language and staging interpretation. Language of SMS and French as a foreign language

in English with English title of the thesis: Language of SMS and French as a foreign language The central topic of the thesis is the language of short text messages (SMS) and/or the one of chat and their application in teaching of French as a foreign language (fr. abbreviation F.L.E., français langue étrangère). The aim is to answer the question so as to how to grasp linguo- didactically this modern sociolect of young users (not only) of French, typical of written communication via digital technologies, with the purpose of the purely practical use in the classes of French. Firstly, a linguistic description will be given in order to understand the mechanisms of the explored language code not only in French, but also partly in Czech and English, as well as the determination of the position of the SMS language as a socio-cultural phenomenon in the present-day French. The following research will be dealing with the identification and the analysis of the teaching activities using the SMS language found in approximately fifty text books of French intended for the learners of levels A1, A2, B1, B2. Language and Style of the Czech Television Programme Hyde Park Civilizace

The present diploma thesis deals with spoken media communication, conducting a stylistic analysis of the language means used in the Hyde Park Civilizace pop-science programme. The thesis focuses on the evaluation of the language means used both by the host and the guests appearing on the show. The research sample consists of a cross-section of nine episodes aired within the first three years of the programme, i.e. 2012-2014. The goal of the thesis is to provide an objective assessment of the spokenness in live discussions on a Czech Television programme. Thus, this specific analysis aims to enhance the language standard of the public media in the Czech Republic. The research part follows up the theoretical part which describes spoken media communication based on the specialist literature.

Bachelor thesis focuses on linguistic analysis of discussion's contributions of journalistic video channel DVTV (Drtinová and Veselovský TV). The thesis also pays attention to moderator's method to conduct dialogue between him and his guest in selected interviews. The theoretical part summarizes the fundamental characteristics of matter-of-fact and journalistic functional styles with regard to spoken journalism. The next chapter is concerned with founding and activities of DVTV. This part of the thesis is concluded with characteristics of the interview and its conception within DVTV. The main practical part is dedicated to analysis of conduct dialogue between moderator and his guest and the linguistic analysis itself. The analysis is provided a in four linguistic levels - phonetic-phonological, morfological, syntactic and lexical. The main aim is to prove a reflection of spoken elements in the area of written communication.
Dichotomy of Spoken and Written Language in the Internet Communication

This diploma thesis discusses the topic of spoken and written language forms and their mutual blending, especially in internet communication. The first part defines the terms of spoken and written language based on specialised literature. The focus is on how perception of this dichotomy has changed over time and the different approaches to the matter will be mentioned. Spoken and written language in this thesis are based on dichotomic aspects such as possibility/impossibility of preparation, monologic/dialogic signs, standard/substandard language and private/public tone. The specifics of the language on the Internet will be also shortly summarized. Since the sample analyzed in the second part of this thesis is an internet blog, the conclusion of the theoretical part contains also characteristics of blogs in general. In the introduction of the second part the analyzed sample is presented - that is texts of one internet blog. These texts are analyzed on all language levels. The focus is aimed especially on the signs indicating blending of spoken and written language, more precisely on those means that indicate spoken language in these graphically formed texts. This bachelor's thesis discusses the topic of written electronic communication on social networks. It is focused on how the features of orality and spontaneity reflect into the written communication. The introduction of this thesis discusses basic literature focused on this issue and describes the attached research material. First part of the thesis is dedicated to the definition and description of basic terms - orality, writing, electronic communication, nonverbal communication and social network - based on specialised literature. The next part outlines the problems of blending spoken and written features of language. The third part analyses the features of orality with specific examples in attached texts and also compares different as wells as concordant elements of online and offline communication. The conclusion of the thesis evaluates to what extent the features of orality are projected into primarily electronic written communication and what is the difference between their influence on online and offline communication. Formality and informality in pupil´s written speeches

The Bachelor thesis is called "Formal and informal language in pupil´s writing," it mainly deals with non-standard elements in written form (errors in phonetics, in grammar, (il)logicality in speech..). The thesis is divided into two main parts, the first part is theoretical, it summarizes the most important findings about children's writing skills with its features and the most common mistakes. The second part is practical, written on the basis of research and subsequent analysis of written expressions of sixth grade students. The main goal of the thesis is to provide information about the issue and subsequently confirm or disprove the assumptions stated in the theoretical part, or possibly help the students who wish to avoid these inaccuracies in writing.
