Measurement of statistical dependence selected parameters of foreigners in South Bohemian Region in years 2000 - 2016
SAMKOVÁ, Jaroslava
This Master´s thesis examines structural links on the number of foreigner nationals legally staying in the territory of South Bohemia between 2000 and 2016. The following objectives have been defined: Objective 1: To acquire a comprehensive overview of the number of foreigners with long-term or permanent residence living in the territory of South Bohemia between 2000 and 2016 and to demonstrate the current trends Objective 2: To demonstrate the link between the annual approved long-term or permanent residence in the territory of South Bohemia between 2000 and 2016 Objective 3: To perform a comparison of the results achieved with the European trends Due to the results achieved by the applied quantitative research, the objectives of the thesis are considered to have been met. The theoretical part of the thesis covered the strategy of the migration policy of the Czech Republic. This part defines a concept of migration, in conjunction with the legislative aspect of the given case, the concept of a foreign national and categories of residential permits, as long-term and permanent residence, depending on their duration, including an analysis of different types of long-term and permanent residence. Initially, the purpose of the practical part consisted in the collection of statistical data necessary for the examination of a dependence in the form of the most important statistical indicators for the specified years, i.e. between 2000 and 2016. The tables and charts necessary for the regression analysis of long-term and permanent residence, and for the correlative research of a dependence between long-term and permanent residence needed to evaluate the objectives of this research, were created based on acquired data files. The aim of this Master´s thesis was to evaluate, confirm or refute the following hypotheses: H1 Hypothesis: The annual numbers of foreigner nationals with permanent residence can be expressed by a linear regression model, which shows an increasing trend. H2 Hypothesis: The annual numbers of foreigner nationals with long-term residence can be expressed by a linear regression model, which shows an increasing trend. H3 Hypothesis: The annual numbers of foreigner nationals with permanent and long-term residence positively correlate. The H1 hypothesis was verified by a linear regression model for approved permanent residence. The H2 hypothesis was verified for the first interval (the first 7 years with a rising linear regression) and partly for the second interval (the remaining years until 2016 with a decreasing linear regression). In general, the adoption of the H2 hypothesis should be assumed distantly (the economic crisis intervention, the role of the 5-year period). The H3 hypothesis is on the verge of rejection - the consequences of the economic crisis and the 5-year period reveal either a very weak positive correlation between permanent and long-term residence or an uncorrelated form. The findings provided in the Master´s thesis generate a number of other topics for follow-up research (a link to economic cycles, connection to the parameters of asylum procedures).
The Reform of Intermunicipal Cooperation: A transition to the French model?
Mudra, Jan ; Jüptner, Petr (advisor) ; Švec, Kamil (referee)
Presented dissertation on topic Reform of inter-municipal cooperation: Course to French model? deals with the question, to what extent, does, so far, the most elaborated motion to amendment of the form of inter-municipal cooperation, proposed by Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic, follows the model of inter-municipal cooperation in France. From this point of view, the topic of inter-municipal cooperation in the Czech Republic is, as a matter of fact, unexplored phenomenon without existing research and comparative analysis. The objective of the research in my dissertation is to prove, according to definitional standards determined in advance, what particular adjustment in the field of financial, structural and legislative inter-municipal cooperation in France has this motion adopted and, on the contrary, what adjustment it has not and why. The research does not deal with all of the elaborated motions to constituent amendment of the current form of inter-municipal cooperation, but, in particular, with the motion to amendment of the general conception of inter-municipal cooperation in the Czech Republic.

Boháčová, Veronika ; Jelínková, Marie (advisor) ; Navrátil, Jiří (referee)
Effective integration of migrants should be seen as a multidimensional process that requires commitment and partnership of all stakeholders. In the Czech Republic the integration is shifting to the local level increasingly. It is a slow process followed by various difficulties, but it creates a number of challenges to cooperation of civil society organizations, boroughs and other stakeholders. The thesis focuses on the cooperation of actors in the area of integration of migrants from third countries in Prague, where the situation is influenced by a number of specific factors. Based on the studies and analysis of available materials and conducted interviews, work explains how and in what areas cooperation of actors works or does not work. Work presents which positives, barriers and potential capacity of cooperation see representatives of civil society organizations, boroughs and state institutions as well.

The Commission for making the river Vltava and the river Labe in Bohemia navigable was founded in 1896 on the basis of a decree of the ministry of interior as the first water management office to be systematically engaged in making Czech rivers navigable by the canalization method. The Commission was headed by the vice-regent of the Kingdom of Bohemia to whom the members of state's and country's curia were subordinate. The executive section was represented by the central office, composed of the technical and administrative departments. Its activities were financed by two thirds by the Austrian state, one third was paid from the Czech country's treasury. After the establishment of the independent Czechoslovak republic, both curias were dissolved and the Commission was put under the control of the ministry of public works. The president of the country's political administration was appointed as the head of the Commission. The competence of the Commission was step by step extended from the initially entrusted task of making the river Vltava and the river Labe in the division Prague - Ústí nad Labem navigable also to making the river Vltava in Prague navigable as well as to the adaptation of the Holešovice port in Prague to a modern trade port and to drawing up studies on the utilization of water...
