LABORARTORY BRNO
Valchová, Jana ; Pospíšil, Zdeněk (referee) ; Boháč, Ivo (advisor)
The main task of our project was the gallery of architecture at the intersection of Street Koliště and Milady Horakove Street, on the edge of the first city ring road, called Ringstrasse, a remnant of the city walls in Brno. In my design, I came mainly from operational and communication links of the surroundings of our plot. The proposed mass gives the impression of a closed corner of the city block. The aim of my proposal is the gallery with additional forms of use.
LABORARTORY BRNO
Joja, Marie ; Vrbka, Jan (referee) ; Ponešová, Barbora (advisor)
The specified urban piece of land is located at the corner of a city block in the historical centre of Brno. In terms of urbanism it forms a significant border between the city centre and adjacent neighbourhoods. The locality draws on the rich history of the city. It lies in a connection between green belt of parks on Koliště and related green avenue of Kapitána Jaroše and Park Lužánky Despite the dense automobile traffic on Ringstrasse the newly designed complex takes the advantage of city greenery when creating a green meadow in the courtyard. The proposed project continues in the tradition of cultural buildings on Ringstrasse. By the arrangement of solids it creates a barrier from the street view but it opens into the inner courtyard. It divides into three separately functioning objects, a gallery, a working platform and an administration building. Entries to individual objects are led through the green courtyard, which becomes the center of action.
Multifunctional Building Brno
Vacenovská, Veronika ; Drobníček, Ladislav (referee) ; Menšíková, Naděžda (advisor) ; Šuhajda, Karel (advisor)
City multifunctional building is located on the corner of Milady Horákové street and Francouzská street in Brno - Zábrdovice. The building is designed as a compact mass and is completed with triangular cantilevers that are carried by an oblique pillar - it passes of every story of the building. This enabled to create open corner, which generates many vistas. There are public amenities on the first floor - rentable space (accessible through interior passage or exterior), café is designed on the second floor. There is also administration and flats - this is common for second, third and fourth floor, the fifth floor is only flats. There are only plain materials on the building - white plaster, glass façade and vertical gardens near staircases. There are green shading panels too.
