Geocaching Support on Pocket PCs with GPS
Kuchta, Michal ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Novosad, Petr (advisor)
Modern technologies of pocket computers (personal digital asistents, PDA) and navigation systems - how to combine them to have a fun? This is the question, that this work tries to answer. In the first few chapters, the work informs reader about the GPS technology, about Geocaching stash hunting game and about technology of pocket computers. A Concept and implementation of WMGeo program, which could be the Geocaching solution for the PocketPC, is presented.
Proposal of topology of piezoceramic composite sensor
Dostal, Vojtěch ; Ševeček, Oldřich (referee) ; Majer, Zdeněk (advisor)
This master thesis deals with design and numerical modelling of piezoceramic sensor, which is placed on a rail, in order to generate electrical energy, which can be used for wireless monitoring of railway traffic and to monitor the condition of the railway. The thesis is divided into three parts. Theoretically background of piezoelectric energy harvesting is described in first part, where some previous application of piezoelectric generator in railway area are shown. In the second part, parametric analysis of numerical model is performed, which directly leads to finding best location on a rail, where piezoelectric generator should be placed. For this analysis the homogenized model of MFC sensor was used. Results of the numerical model were then compared with the results of the conducted experiment. The third part presented own design of piezoceramic sensor, which is placed onto most suitable location on a rail. Results from numerical analysis shown eligibility of using piezoceramic sensor to monitor the railway traffic.
Analysis of piezoelectric energy harvester for railway applications
Kubiš, Juraj ; Tofel, Pavel (referee) ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with a piezoelectric energy generator, witch is a device that converts mechanical stress into electrical energy. It is small device that is mostly placed on vibrating structures in order to collect energy. By gluing this piezoelectric layer to the bottom of the rail, it would be a suitable power supply for the communication modules, while obtaining a sufficient amount of energy. These modules ale used as self-powered sensors stations with vision to monitor the condition of railway lines in more detail. The problem of these modules is their power supply, when the energy gain from the generators located on the railway line is insufficient. By acquiring a new energy source, this problem can be greatly simplified and lead to simpler inspection and earlier maintenance on railway lines.
Integration of SMART Material within Mechanical Structure
Běhal, Josef ; Majer, Zdeněk (referee) ; Hadaš, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the modelling of the piezoelectric composite material using the finite element method. The thesis is divided into three parts. Research study is done in the first part. It focuses on the possibility of use of the piezoelectric layers as sensors. The second part concerns the homogenization of MFC (macro fiber composite). Material and piezoelectric parameters are obtained by modelling elementary structural cell under different loading conditions. Determined characteristics are verified with experimental data. The third part proposes the design of the experimental device, which allows the simulation of the rotor excitation by rotating unbalance. Excitation responses of MFCs placed in specific locations are calculated using FEA model of the device. The conclusion includes the description of the suitability to vibration measurement on the device.
Application for Controlled Access to Remote Documents for Microsoft Windows
Aplikácia k serveru pristupuje cez REST API a je testovaná s využitím vytvoreného simulovaného serveru a testovacieho skriptu, napísaných v programovacom jazyku Python.
Graphic Editor for OLAP Interface Metadata
Šmerda, Vojtěch ; Ruttkay, Ladislav (referee) ; Hruška, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis describes OLAP and data mining technologies and methods of their communication with users by using dynamic tables. Key theoretical and technical information is also included. Next part focuses on particular implementation of dynamic tables used in Vema portal solution. Last parts come close to analysis and implementation of the metadata editor which enables the metadata to be effectively designed.
Possibilities of connecting the Asterisk softswitch to the 4th generation PBX
Halamík, Zdeněk ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This master’s thesis dissertate the possibilities of the linkage between Asterisk softswitch and the 4th generation private branch exchange. This should create a new generation’s network, so-called NGN, by the convergence of existing telecommunication networks with an IP computer network. This master’s thesis is divided into several chapters. In introduction is described the evolution of the private branch exchanges as well as the principles of the voice digitizing, codecs and signaling commonly used in both TDM and VoIP networks. The main aim of this project is the configuration of Asterisk software exchange for connection with PBX Alcatel 4400 as well as public phone network PSTN. Another goal of this master’s thesis was the configuration of Alcatel PBX and diagnostics of CCS and CAS signaling on E1 interface. In conclusion there are summarized advantages of NGN networks and their utilization in the future.
Design of testing device for piezocomposite sensors
Zlámal, Radim ; Chalupa, Jan (referee) ; Kšica, Filip (advisor)
Presented bachelor’s thesis describes the design and the following assembly of a device used for testing MFC sensors. In the first part, fundamental theoretical findings regarding main properties of the sensors are listed, including their description and comparison with other piezoelectric materials. Available methods for measuring a response from the sensor are mentioned sequentially by means of applied stress (tension/compression, bending, torsion). The second part focuses on realization of the device based on the chosen physical principle for loading the tested specimen, to which the sensor is firmly attached. Construction of the device is designed and adjusted to meet the input requirements and boundary conditions for bending. Both hardware and software are selected to simulate the specific form of mechanical loading. The last part involvesstatic measurements of deformations on the specimen using a charge amplifier, as well as modelling of various dynamic cycles sensed by utilizing a load resistor. Voltage signal from the sensor is converted to strain, which is further transformed into deflection for measurement verification, and finally, the functionality of the entire device is evaluated.
