Experimental MANET network in NS-3 simulator
Vadkerti, Gabriel ; Langhammer, Lukáš (referee) ; Bartl, Milan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the problem of MANET networks. It presents routing protocols, their types, advantages and disadvantages. The protocols, such as AODV and OSPF, are analyzed in detail. The next section describes the NS-3 simulator and the meaning of its key codes. There are named and explained the most common mobility models and their correct writing into the source code. A MANET network simulation is created and a program for indicating the routes of packets through the network is introduced. The next describes traffic models for data networks. A simple traffic model for NS-3 and a program for graphic representation of this traffic were created. The DCE module for NS-3 is introduced in the last section and a demonstrational program of using Linux stack is created.

Kolaja, Lukáš ; Hrouza, Ondřej (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
The goal of this bacherlor thesis is theoretically analyze the principles of wireless mobile ad hoc networks. The thesis describes the types of routing protocols such as AODV, DSDV or OLSR. Further describes the types of mobility models which is typically used in MANET. The thesis also deals with issues like use, safety and development of mobile ad hoc networks. The goal of the practical part is create an application which can parse an XML document that generates simulation that is already created. The application is written in PHP language and output data from this application is inserted to the databse by using SQL commands. From the database is easy to read the data from the original XML document.
Design of laboratory tasks focused on the OLSR protocol.
Pecina, Martin ; Langhammer, Lukáš (referee) ; Kubánková, Anna (advisor)
An ad hoc mobile network is a collection of mobile nodes that are dynamically and arbitrarily located in such a manner that the interconnections between nodes are capable of changing on a continual basis. In order to simplify communication within the network, a routing protocol is used to discover routes between nodes. The primary goal of such an ad hoc network routing protocol is correct and efficient route establishment between a pair of nodes so that messages may be delivered on time. Route construction should be done with a minimum of overhead and bandwidth consumption. This document describes the Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) protocol for mobile ad hoc networks. The key concept used in the protocol is that of multipoint relays (MPRs). MPRs provide an efficient mechanism for flooding control traffic by reducing the number of transmissions required.
Design of laboratory tasks focused on the AODV protocol.
Hlavatý, Josef ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Kubánková, Anna (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the MANET Network (Mobile Ad-Hoc Network). There are theoretically elaborated basic information, the characteristics of the MANET network and great emphasis is placed on routing in these networks. In the next chapter the diploma thesis focuses on the Ad Hoc Demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol. It features the characteristics of this protocol and the principle of communication and routing in MANET networks. Hereinafter, the individual reports of the AODV protocol are described in detail. In the third chapter, the thesis introduces the NS-3 simulation environment (network Simulator - 3) and then deals with the design of the MANET network in NS-3 using the AODV routing protocol. The practical part of the diploma thesis is the MANET network simulation and testing with the AODV routing protocol. Laboratory task is built from these simulations and the results of the testing.
Analysis of routing protocols used in MANET networks
Vala, Ondřej ; Hošek, Jiří (referee) ; Kubánková, Anna (advisor)
This diploma thesis is analysis of routing protocols used in MANET networks focusing on protocols OLSR, AODV and HWMP. The work consists of a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the routing protokols, which are used in MANET networks and their applications to FANET networks. In practical part, there are describes of created mobility model in the NS-3, which are used for comparison routing protocols on the created scenarios of mobility according to the qualitative parameters of the networks.
Scale free topology networks focused on MANET technology
Sehnálek, Adam ; Janovič, Filip (referee) ; Skořepa, Michal (advisor)
The main goal of my bachelor thesis is familiarization with a question of computer network with free topology aimed at MANET technology, or more precisely Motorola MESH. It deals with simulation of influence of bundle number within the network on data transfer using all possible routing protocols in Opnet Modeler. The first part contains description of basic networks with free topology and their characteristics. It devotes mainly to Mesh networks and mostly to Motorola technologies that are described there. All three Motorola network types can be found there - MOTOMESH Solo, MOTOMESH Duo and MOTOMESH Quattro. The second part of the thesis focuses on routing protocols available for MANET networks in Opnet Modeler. Principles and basic characteristics of protocols AODV (Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector), DSR (Dynamic Source Routing), OLSR (Optimized Link State Routing protocol) and TORA/IMEP (Temporally-Ordered Routing Algorithm) a GRP (Geographic Routing Protocol) are described there. The closing part of the thesis is dedicated to the simulation of individual protocols and their influence on transferring multimedia data through the network. It includes exact process of making the MANET network, configuration of individual components, choosing the necessary characteristics and after simulation view. It concludes also the final summary of all simulated protocols.
Routing protocols in scale-free topology networks
Mahdal, Ondřej ; Kyselý, František (referee) ; Skořepa, Michal (advisor)
This master's thesis (further only MT) deal with problems of scale-free topology networks with a view to technology MANET (Mobile Ad hoc network) or more precisely Motorola MESH. Further studies routing technique and quality of services (QoS) in these networks. Theoretic part of MT in introduction shortly characterizes properties and kind of Ad hoc networks, next part is dedicated to technology Motorola MESH and shows practical usage of this technology. Analysis of problems quality of services and optimalization QoS in MANET is content third parts of MT. Fourth part specifies division of routing protocols, analysis of routing in MANET and characteristics routing protocols OLSR, AODV, DSR and TORA. In practical fifth part of MT are in introduction simulated simple MANET and mesh networks and further is created model of MANET network, into the model are implemented accessible routing protocols in simulation program OPNET Modeler and on the basis of simulation these protocols or more precisely output statisticians of simulation are protocols compared from several aspects and suitability for transmission of multimedia data (voice, video).
Analysis of MANET Routing Protocols OLSR and AODV in OPNET Modeler Simulation Environment
Machata, Tomáš ; Růčka, Lukáš (referee) ; Hošek, Jiří (advisor)
The thesis deals with MANET networks and it focuses on the routing process. Most attention is paid to the routing protocols AODV and OLSR. These protocols are described in the detail. The aim of the thesis is to create a simulation model of MANET network in OPNET Modeler environment. In this model the AODV protocol is configured. In order to achieve improved characteristics of the network traffic the routing protocol parameters are optimized. Furthermore the process model of AODV protocol in this environment is studied and extended by a new type of message, which allows a transfer of current transmission speed of MANET station network interface. Current transmission rate of stations is retrieved from the statistics. Every station periodically sends a message to neighboring nodes. The node stores the information into the file when a new message arrives.
